Just moved to the area from Long Beach. This was the closest salon to my new home. On Saturday, 1/4, I called and made an appointment for Sunday, 1/5/19 at 10am. On Sunday I arrived at 10am to a very busy and bustling salon. I was there to get a pedicure and full set. I had to wait about 5 minutes before being taken back for my services. The pedicure was about an 8/10. The salon offers many different packages. I paid $27 for my pedicure. As for the technician, she took her time during my services and my toes came out looking nice as usual. The only part i didn't like is that she changed the shape of my toe nails even after I told her I wanted square. I also attempted to make conversation with the tech and there was no response. After my toes were done, I got a full set on my nails. My nails cost $60. As usual, the charge is based on length, coffin shape, gel polish and one bedazzled nail. My nails looked really nice but two days later, one cracked at the tip of my nail (the base where the acrylic tip is applied). I went in on Sunday, 1/12 to get the nail fixed. Everything was fine. I was just upset that I was charged for a crack that happened because of poor placement by the nail tech. I have been getting my nails done bi-weekly for over 20 years. This has rarely happened. Nail shops are everywhere and it is customer service that sets them apart. Rather than charge me $5 to fix the one nail, I felt like the salon should have provided this service for free. Especially because my nails had only been done two days. I still tipped and didn't make a fuss. I just won't be back. My tech at Bright Star Nails in Long Beach does an AMAZING job. Her customer service skills are also out of this world. While Q2 Nails is a beautiful shop, the prices don't match up to the service. They also don't offer the trendy designs and styles that are offered in more urban areas. I will travel to Long Beach to get what I need. read more

I've been blessed with good nails but somehow a man working here managed to damage them so bad, I have to wait until the whole nail regrows out to be back to normal. Long story short, I had dipped nails and he soaked all of my whole fingertips in acetone to get it off... dried up and burnt my skin so badly, it hurt for days... when he filed my nail he did it with a course file so hard, Oh my finger tips were red. Decided to try this place out after a nail salon I'm used to closed early the day after Christmas. I didn't have an appointment but they took me in right away. I wish I got the name of the lady who did my nails. She was soo patient while I took forever to pick out my nails color. Even though I was just getting a regular gel manicure, she really took her time to make sure that the polish looked good and filed my nails before and after applying the polish, ensuring that they looked perfect. Loved this place and will definitely be back the next time I'm in town. Gel manicure was $28 Updating the review a week after I got the manicure. I now have two nails with chipped polish. I did not wash dishes or do anything vigorous with hands. I just randomly noticed that they were chipped. It seems like I am always looking for a new nail place due to most of them doing mediocre work and having high prices. 2Q was recommended to me by a friend and she didn't have any complaints so I decided to try. DO NOT go to Aolf, or at least I think that was his name. He seemed like he would be a good fit for what I wanted at first. But when my nails were finished, he didn't go that extra mile to get the additional powder of of the cuticles and he also did not bother to push my cuticles back. They looked a mess. I asked for marble design and he couldn't do it so I waited for someone else to paint them. The manager got me in her chair and when she looked at my nails she seemed disappointed. She immediately tried to fix them. And she did! But she did a rush job and ended up cutting me twice with the tool. Then, the design I asked for she also could not do. So I ended up getting something simple. I had to bring to her attention that after my pedicure my toes looked dull. Which come to find out. The girl that did my toes missed a step and didn't put a a top coat over the polish, they had to redo it it. I did love the fact that they offered water and had an area specifically for little girls to get their pampering done too. The chairs were comfortable, the decor was nice and it was very clean. Their WiFi does not work, even with the password they provide. I want to return to give them another chance only because I feel as if they were understaffed , and had to rush. I also believe that they are fairly new and just working out the kinks. Stay tuned for an updated review. Btw, this place is not cheap. This location is a little piece of comfort and elegance. This was my first visit here and I must say I was very surprised how impressed I was. Not only was I able to walk-in and be seen right away but the staff is so friendly and welcoming. If you want a pedicure I recommend Kristal (she doesn't rush her work and does a great job). If you're looking to get a gel manicure may I recommend you try a more natural approach called SNS aka Dip Powder (THIS IS NOT GEL). Highly recommend Mimi (she's the best) at Dip Powder. Like I already mentioned SNS is all natural and is applied to the with a clear nail polish coat then she dips your finger in powder that makes the color. While having the same result of a gel "look/shine" without the harsh chemicals, damaged nails and not to mention that burning light! My nails have never been this long EVER as well as healthy. SNS can last for up to 4+ weeks ($35) I think it's worth it. read more
