This is the best restaurant that we ate at during our 6+ week visit here. My barber here recommended it. We ate here twice, but I could have eaten here every night. The staff, especially Edel, was great and very patient with our children. The food was outstanding and the wine was good. Prices were very reasonable for what we received.
I recommend the pork cheek and the Francesinha. My children love the beef sandwich. The batatas fritas (French fries/chips) are fresh cut and made. They were quickly devoured. My children recommend the chocolate mousse. I also had banoffee pie and lime pie. All of their desserts are made in-house.
The deserts were out of this world, and I highly recommend that you save room in your stomach for dessert. Wine was reasonably priced. A meal like this would have cost twice as much in the US, but it is reasonable even by Portuguese standards.
Finish your meal with a 10-year Dow's tawny port and you will be floating in heaven.
