It's family-run, and the owner is the sweetest lady - we had our wedding rehearsal dinner here because we wanted something low key and cost-effective so everyone (not just wedding party) could come, and we saved a ton of money. If you're considering hosting an event, 3 Amigos is a great option! It was buffet-style, and we paid per head and then additional for drinks. The enchiladas are fantastic - I always order one cheese and one chicken and have never been disappointed. Many types of margaritas to choose from, and while they're not that strong, they're also cheap (not going to quote a price in case I get it wrong!). Here is my review of 3 Amigos on Whitlock Ave in Marietta, Georgia!! I went to 3 Amigos today. I ordered a Soft Beef Taco, a Soft Steak Taco, and a Cheese Quesadilla. I only ordered my food for pick-up, so I did not get the full dining experience of 3 Amigos. Cons: When I first entered the building I was not very impressed. The building seemed out-dated. It looked a little dirty, and not very welcoming. The waitress, in her defense she had to be very new, took a very long time to figure out how to pay for a meal. Pros: Although the Soft Tacos were a little too wet, and messy, they were amazing! They tasted fantastic. The Cheese Quesadilla was also fantastic. I would, and most likely will, be going back to 3 Amigos again. 3/5 read more

I have been to 3 Amigos several times as it is relevantly close to my house. The food is average but I have always returned due to the convenience. Four of us came for dinner and drinks, expecting the usual "Speedy Gonzalez" type of Mexican chain. What a surprise! This is what every Mexican restaurant should strive to be! Great food and drinks in addition to a very friendly and attentive staff. Michelle was our server, and I personally have to thank her for recommending the Oscar's Delight! Two of us ordered it, with the other two having the Tequila, Tilapia and Shrimp, and the Ultimate Fish Tacos. All of the food was just fantastic! (desserts too!) Finally a really good Mexican restaurant has come to our area! A family-run business, the food was beautifully and thoughtfully prepared. When our dishes came out we were initially excited by the presentation alone, then wowed by the flavors. Neither over-seasoned nor over-cooked, just straight forward fresh flavor. I often wonder when I try a new Mexican restaurant why the standard for Mexican food can so frequently be so low, but 3 Amigos sets a very high standard and gets it right! This really sucks on service, I got a groupon deal, and it was 16.98 for 1 cheese deep, 2 entrees, and 2 margaritas, en up adding 2 more $ for lettuce tomato and sour cream, 0.50 for strawberry flavor, final cost 22$, waitress took 30 min to take our order, my gf left her phone on the table and they stole it, this place is super bad I'll never go to this ever again, waitress had the worse attitude ever. The Service was soooo bad here I made a Yelp account! lol, but seriously! Today my family and I went there around 5:00pm. When we first walked in we stood waiting on the hosts to seat us for about 11 minutes! THEN when she finally came to seat us she didn't greet us and made it seem like it HURT her to open her mouth and say " DO YOU ALL WANT A BOOTH?" We tried to ignore it and just sat at the bar. Fresh and authentic and NOT like every other Mexican place you'll find in a strip shopping mall (see first two adjectives in my opening sentence). Plus, I had a margarita on the rocks -- it rocked. And, free coffee afterward! I didn't partake because I would be up too late but my friends said it was also very good. Next time I go to Marietta Square I will go just a little bit further for this place. I feel a need to update my review as my opinion of the place has changed rather drastically. Two things I want to address and they matter to me which is why I'm reflecting on them. Beforehand I had mentioned the friendly service as the first visit was that way,however this past week-end when I went into the restaurant it was fairly early around 4:30. That is when I like to go for dinner as I just like getting wherever I'm going early. I saw Julissa there but she didn't even speak to me and there were I think 2 tables occupied at the time. I made my way to the bar area which is where I usually sit. I know she recognized me as she had thanked me once before for the review I had written and then not to acknowledge me at all this time. I asked for her about 30 minutes later and was told she had left. As I'm sitting there at the bar I ran into another couple to which I had met one time I came in before,so the two of them and I were talking together. As there was a shift change a new attendant at the bar that I had seen before, but don't recall her name, came in and began to talk to the couple and never looked my way. She and I had met before. The couple and myself were the only ones at the bar area. My waitress/bartender (couldn't tell who was doing what really)so the person who gave me the margarita I ordered left, and as the new attendant and the couple talked amongst themselves, I continued to eat and finished the salsa/chips I had been served. I then looked over the menu once more and originally thought I would get the spicy shrimp dish I had enjoyed there before, but as I sat there and the bartender continuing to talk with the couple, I sat with nothing to eat. So finally even though the bartender seemed to be immersed in conversation I had to become a little commanding for attention as she wasn't taking a breath in between her sentences. I wanted to order more salsa,what I shouldn't have had to ask for not with hardly anybody there at the bar . In essence,I just decided I would order the cheese dip and didn't care to spend the money for the camarones I usually would order. Basically,ignored by two of the main people who I expected would pay attention;well at least to serve me,the first of which I had been so pleased with her service and mannerisms before and then the waitress/bartender to whom I had to break into the conversation in order to get my food. read more

Good food! Their nachos were perfect and fresh! Salsa was good and not too spicy. House margarita, very yummy, had quite a kick. An update to my earlier review.... We come here nearly weekly and love this place. Since my first review, they continue to provide the best mexican in Marietta. By far the best margaritas outside the perimeter (and in the running for the whole Atlanta metro). Ask for the top shelf skinny margaritas -- they take a little longer (they squeeze the fruit juice fresh), but are worth the wait. Service quality and attentiveness has improved significantly since my last review. I'm suprised this place isn't more crowded. Blows La Parilla (which is surprisingly crowded -- really?) and other area Mexican places out of the water. Seriously, there is no comparison. Three Amigos uses fresh ingredients, offers friendly service and a comfortable dining environment. We enjoy the trivia they offer on Tuesday evenings -- it's fun!. read more

Stopped in for lunch on a Saturday with the 3 little boys. Everyone was very friendly, helpful...and quick. A nice little lunch buffet for the kids 3.99 included a drink and for the adults at 5.99. The buffet is just the basics, tacos, taquitos, chicken, beef, enchiladas, and the typical beans and rice. Nothing crazy, but fairly fresh, clean, and easy. Chips and salsa were pretty good. My friend and I stumbled onto this restaurant looking for another one. People were standing outside and look like a lot of people inside so we went in. It's a cute restaurant, we sat on the veranda which is the closet to a patio ( they had all the doors open). The menu had a ton of stuff on it and a lot you don't always see. I had my usually combo #6 and my friend had chicken fonado, which looked amazing. We lived the skinny margaritas and they were strong. Downside of the restaurant, we had a waiter who knew nothing of the menu or even what skinny margaritas were. We sucked it up to he must be new. There was no music on the veranda. Had lunch to go and it was not good at all. Taco was all mashed together and the flour tortilla was smashed together in foil. I had a great experience this past weekend while hosting a party in the private dinning hall at 3 Amigos. Everything was just perfect, food on the buffet was maintained hot and fresh, staff was always present seeing to the individual drink needs of my guests, and no surprises during the event or when the bill came!
