Stopped in for lunch and a beer while staying nearby for the weekend. We like to check out new breweries, and this was dog-friendly on the patio under shade from the sun. The outdoor bar was appreciated! This is an order-at-the-bar spot with food runners. It wasn't terribly busy while we were here,, so there was no wait for service -- always a plus! My husband ordered a Hi Neighbor beer (owners are from Rhode Island, so this seems to have been loosely based on Narragansett lager? Not terribly close in taste but a nice hoppiness to it). I had a flight, as I like to sample several when I try a new joint. I really liked the variety of types. We split a pretzel and a sandwich. Both were very tasty, and the food came out hot and fresh quickly. The bartender/food runners were very friendly! My friend and I had a fun night playing bingo (one free card each; $5 for additional cards) and enjoying some of the happy hour specials! It is a nice space with a good amount of table seating inside, a bar and patio. The walls are decorated with art that is also for sale. When you walk in, the bar is in front of you and all the way on the right end of the bar is where you order. They have tv displays for libations as well as physical menus for food. Once you order, you wait for your drinks and you are given a number for them to deliver your foud. you can sit anywhere you'd like. My friend got an elderberry cider, burger sliders and pretzel bites and I had specialty seltzer cocktail and the charcuterie. The food was solid as were the drinks. The charcuterie more than filled me up. It's nice to be able to have a fun night out without spending a ton of money. read more

3 Bridges Brewing in Venice is a great brewery. This is my first visit and they proved they can deliver on the three most important factors as a brewery: great beer, great food, great atmosphere. The place was busy on a Sunday night at 6 pm. We were able to get a couple of seats at the bar. Service was excellent the entire time. Multiple bartenders checked on us to make sure we had everything we wanted. Pretty much all of their beers are above average. The highlights for me: Hop Radio, Tropicat, Juice Break, and Jetty Rat. If you're a beer connoisseur, you will be happy you came here. The food is great. I tried the Bridge Burger and the Chicken Dippers. Both were excellent. All of their burgers are smash burgers. The menu consists of sandwiches, burgers, shareable, and flatbreads. I would love to try more of the menu after this experience. This was an exciting experience at a brewery new to me and I can't wait to return to try more food and beer. They have a board listing "on deck" beers so we know they are rotating their list. They also have events like trivia, bingo, open mic etc that can keep each visit interesting. read more

I have to update my review. Our dog wanted to go back to three bridges. She loved it so much. The back patio is huge, the music is fun and it's just a real good vibe. this time my wife and I split the double smash burger. It filled both of us up and was quite possibly the best Smash burger I've ever had. definitely better than anything I've eaten on the island. I would highly recommend anyone coming to three bridges Try their Smash burger and their fries are pretty awesome also read more

Hidden gem in Venice! From the outside I wasn't sure, but once inside (wow). Beautiful setup, super friendly staff, and fantastic beer. I started with a flight (highly recommend) and loved the Skyway and Kiwi Sunshine. Food was just as impressive. I had the Bridges Burger seriously one of the best I've had. My partner had the House Chicken, and her Grammie got the Mushroom Bacon all amazing. Great fries and slaw too! They brew on site and even offer beer classes. Visiting from NYC, and I'll 100% be back. Support this awesome local spot! read more

They were a winning choice by being the closest brewery to where we were staying. And also, because it came recommended. Puling in, we saw families out on the patio - this was a break from our kids, dang it! (I kid - the children were well behaved there, that I didn't even notice them while we sat at the bar. But if you are one of those "kids don't belong in breweries" you may end up in a huff - save it for Facebook). We ended up ordering appetizers (fried onion strings and buffalo chicken dip) - and it was amazingly delicious. Such simple dishes, and just done so well. We had three different bartenders taking care of us as we sat there - and they were more than happy to wax poetic about beers and flavor profiles, and their beer really holds up for me. Their core styles they were brewing were delicious, and the stout variants were different without being too much. The only "complaint" is - I don't like seeing syrups in use. It's a me thing, I recognize that.but I came for the beer (and the seltzers I sampled were well done, and not too sweet, anyways!) It's likely we will vacation in this area again - and I plan on returning to 3 Bridges, because I know I'll have some good beers. read more

Long time area resident, first time visitor and will def be back . It's like now when we go to Lowe's - practically next door , this should just be a pit stop . Offered a friend lunch or early dinner and he likes it here so off we went . The beer menu was more extensive than I'd expected - there's like five porters alone - which I like a lot but not in summertime . I had a marzen which is very good and balanced . Another ? Yes , please . They do have a lot of citrus - forward IPA s - . The thing with that whole orange - guava- tangerine - lemony - citrusy - citrusy - lime - forward - citrusy IPA stuff is that - enough already . No -really . I get my fruit quotient and vitamin C with some mango and cherries in the morning . Some orange slices . Etc . I drink beer that - ahem - tastes like a Beer and not a fruity garden . But I digress . A non- carnivore facing a decidedly carnivore - heavy menu I opted for the veggie flatbread and it was just right . A mix of arugula and spreads of veg and cheeses and nice crust . I'd just come back from trying a vaunted pizza place in Milwaukee and liked this better . Next time it's the cheesy toasted three cheese please . Nice to have this brewery in the Venice area. Strange though not to be able to watch football there. We sat at inside bar and had good and interesting beers and wings. Good musician set up outside and we went out to listen to him for a bit too. The servers who work there were attentive. read more

The newly released perennial beer was definitely my favorite along side their smash burger. The place is decorated with these cool sculptures made from car parts. Bruce and I decided to try 3 Bridges Brewing - not only because we've driven by many times and watched it getting ready to open, but because we were attracted by the "Best Burger in Town" sign. The sign changed, but one Thursday, we decided to go for Thursday night football there ... So *MOST IMPORTANT* - they do not have football screens. They have live music, a form of Karaoke or open mic (Tuesdays, I think), and local art in the interior. It was definitely male-oriented skate art when we were there. Giant metal tiki heads, high-lacquer finish skateboard decks, ginormous graphic paintings that were somewhat better than those done by Lena Dunham's father (Google if you are curious, no I do not endorse). When Bruce asked about football, he was told "no," in a tone vaguely like, "Are you stupid? Do you see a TV in here?" - and no, I'm not giving them 4/5 because of this. So - the burger is a smashburger, which means it's thin, fried patties. These burgers are huge and have regular American cheese on them. It really reminded me of the burgers we'd get (much smaller of course) on the beach in summer. If you like this type of burger you will LOVE it and I highly recommend these menu items. Smashburger - as advertised, very good. Tots - very crispy, maybe double-fried (good) Fries - average bag fries (sad) Beer - they brew their own so if you are into interesting and cool beers, this place has a huge variety! The fruit-infused beer I had was good and I'm sorry I don't remember which exact one it was. We saw others drinking dark beer and enjoying it. Pizza - we did not get and I'm nowhere near as picky as Bruce, but we observed a flatbread being eaten near us and I'm thinking ... I would probably not order nor recommend this dish. Verdict: an eclectic local brewery that really is kind of a SW Florida version of the breweries and attached eateries you would find in California's central coast. I'm thinking like a mini-Firestone. The food's different, the art's different, the brews are different but this is that type of place. I think they work really hard on the beer and the atmosphere's a little bare and the art a little bit too ... well listen he wouldn't have sold any if there weren't mancaves and tiki bars itching for this unique decor ... and it obviously will change as the art was being changed out while we were there and there was lots of it, not just 1 or 2 pieces. Three Bridges is a great place for unique beers and good bar food! We each got a flight and highly recommend the Tropicat and the Slush Fun. We split the Mac and Cheese and Buffalo Chicken Flatbread. The Mac and Cheese could have been more cheesy and flavorful, but we found the flatbread to be crispy and perfectly spicy. Service was relatively quick for a Friday night. read more

I was totally expecting the standards round chicken patty my surprise out came a hand breaded chicken deliciousness. We had the Angry Rabbit, Coffee and donuts, Perennialfest and the Jamacain Honeymoon. All were excellent! We ordered the blue cheese smashburger, double patty. Omg! Possibly the best one we've ever had! Side was tots, crispy delicious tots!! I had the lunch wings, garlic parm side of blue cheese. Small wings but crunchy and yummy! We had such a nice laid-back mid-afternoon break here, lounging in Adirondack chairs with our dog on Astro- turf, cheering on cornhole players! The patio had a singer with an amazing selection of music. We had a couple of beers- "Breakfast of Champions" and the Christmas Märzen. Food was good (burgers and fries were great). Nice staff. Outdoor seating area is well designed with room for kids to stretch their legs when they get antsy. Only complaint were the bugs (specifically flies) flying around (wish they had table fly swatter fans). Of course this is Florida in bug season so they actually did a good job mitigating the other insects. Will be back many times in the future. read more

The beer was delicious and the staff/bartender was very personable. Both our meals were excellent and great serving size. Only drawback was the traffic noise of the major parkway but there's not much the establishment can do about that. We were a little disappointed that the pictures and name implied it was near water with the name 3 Bridges Brewing we thought it would be on a canal or something. The new location is awesome. Much better than the old one. Now if we could just drown out 41. The service is always spot on. You rarely have to wait move than a minute or two. The servers are knowledgeable about their beers which is always helpful. My favorite is the raspberry wheat. Clean and refreshing. I think it is the same one the serve at the braves stadium. My second favorite is the Irish stout. The ambiance is very laid back. The only thing I don't love is the new menu. Typical bar food now. At the old location they had an incredible Cobia burger special and great tacos. Still this place is definitely worth multiple visits. read more

An easy four stars for the outside space. It was busy and alive feeling on a Saturday for lunch. And I liked the casual vibe of grabbing your own menu, ordering at the outside bar, and waiting for your food with a number at your table. My son and I loved playing bags and having a little space to roam. There's even a specifically designated kids area on the lawn with stepping/climbing toys to play with. The food was maybe more 3-3.5 stars, but I will say we only had food and no beers. I liked my double Bridge Burger and really appreciated they had gluten free buns. I had asked for a side salad with it in place of their side options on the menu, but unfortunately they couldn't accommodate for that so that was a little puzzling to me. My husband got the Cuban and said it was alright but wished it was on the good bread that a classic Cuban is typically served on. They had 3 items on the kids menu and our son was pleased with the mac 'n cheese. We will definitely return since we're local and I feel like Venice really needed something like this. This was our first visit to 3 Bridges Brewing on a Sunday evening about 5 p.m. The restaurant was about 1/2 full. After getting our drinks we found a table outside. Our friends received their food after waiting about 20 minutes. Our order never came. We waited another 20 minutes and still no food. When we questioned the person that took our order he said there was a mix up in the kitchen and that our order was being "fired up". After about another 20 minutes of waiting they brought us the wrong order. We waited again for about another 15 minutes and still no order. One of the staff had a difficult time even finding our order in the computer. We asked that our order be cancelled as our friends were ready to leave. We spoke with the owner/manager, who informed us that we would not be charged for our non-existent meals and the 2 drinks we had. Much to our surprise, there was a charge of $49.21 on our credit card later that night. We were definitely not planning on returning to 3 Bridges Brewing ever again, but now have to make a another trip to straighten out our credit card fiasco. Ticked off and still hungry!!! read more
