We stopped here a couple of weeks ago..... promised we would go back. So, we did !!! Grabbed some friends for lunch. We were welcomed as soon as we step inside by Angela. What a friendly greeting. Not too crowded for a Thursday. We sat at the tables, ordered our drinks & food at the bar.... They deliver to the table when ready. We ordered Pork pot stickers & edamame for the table. My husband ordered the Pad Thai w/ chicken for $15.00. It was a large bowl of Thai rice noodles with shredded chicken. Good portioned size and very tasty . I ordered the Crunchy Tuna Roll which had Tuna inside and fried with a nice light crunchy coating on the outside. For $13.50.... It was filling and delicious. Our friends ordered the Dragon Breath roll & the Naked Dragon Roll. Difference was Dragon Breath had jalapeños on it. They both liked their meals. Recently tried this place. Odd location, drove by it multiple times before I used Google Maps. The interior was "rustic", but clean. The food was 6-7/10....decent, but I was expecting more than just a bartender for the entire front of house. Order at the register, pick up at the kitchen window. Both of our beers were light cool - no cooler than 40 degrees and the glasses felt warm like they were fresh outta the dishwasher. Medium pricing. I personally thought they could do better. Tried this place because of prior yelp reviews. It was great. The parking was tight outside we had to park at the Napa parts store, but usually means it's good. We ordered at the bar sat down and played shutes and ladders they had by our seat. We ordered chicken teriyaki, fire tuna roll, crunchy tuna roll. Ut was all great and you can tell it was made fresh. It took a but to get our order but we were playing games and it was a busy Friday. Inside there are tons of games, darts, cornhole, board games, Foose ball, etc. Was clean and well kept inside. I was a little disappointed with Peace River Beer Company. It appears to be a brewery but it is not. They do not make any of their own beers although it has the same exact vibe as a brewery (Industrial building, chalkboard menus, kids running around yelling, order at the counter, picnic table seating, table games and outsourced food) and call themselves a Beer Company. There only appeared to be one server working when we visited and he seemed to be running short on patience with the patrons. All negativity aside, they do have a good selection of craft beer and although we didn't try it, the sushi did look good and appears to have a good following. read more

Lots of Beer With Thai Food and Sushi We were driving through Punta Gorda after an event and I wanted to quench a thirst. Did a little web search and found this place. Any place with Beer Company in the name deserves a visit. So I was expecting a brewpub where they brew a few of their own beers. Not here. They have 20 or more beers on tap from different brewers and will gladly offer a sample before you commit to a full glass. The tap board shows name of the beer, type of beer, ABV, brewer and cost per pour size. I had both the Coconaut Porter and the Left Hand Milk Stout and they were great as always. Our bartender did tell us that food orders were backed up to an hour so we needed to order quickly in we wanted to eat before closing. After telling him we just stopped for a brew, he said their Thai and Sushi food business is booming and it usually is backed up as all is made fresh. We will keep it in mind. The décor inside I guess could be called cozy outside, inside. There are seats at the bar counter and picnic tables inside. There is some seating outside. Sadly, Peace River no longer brews their own beers. Last time I had been here several years ago, their own beers were excellent. I was looking forward to sipping some of their new stuff. But alas, I was told they sold all their brewing equipment not long ago. Do not let that deter you, though. The beers on tap here are all local, with a great variety. I had an amber that absolutely required me to have a second. Other beers offered were great choices, too, as I knew some of the breweries that are from South Florida (Bone Hook, for example). Menu is now much more extensive. Last time I was here, sushi and Thai food was what there was to choose from. Now, in addition to the sushi and Thai, there are many, many other options. Wings, loaded fries, sandwiches, burgers. Everything we ordered was available quickly and did not disappoint. Their sushi is still as good as ever. Service was quick, with a very nice gentleman behind the bar getting our beers. Lots of seating - still the picnic tables that I remember, but now there are regular tables and booths as well. Several tables outside with an umbrella if you decide to not sit inside. Nicely decorated. Several TVs are mounted for you to watch (sports, of course). Clean and plenty of parking. A great spot to stop, meet some friends, have a little to eat or sip a tasty brew - or all of the above! Cheers! read more

I am absolutely disgusted by the treatment I received at Peace River Brewing Company located in Punta Gorda, Florida, and want to warn others, especially those with disabilities, about what happened. I went to the brewery with my wife and son for a drink, they both enjoy specialty and craft beers. After we arrived, we discovered they also served food. Due to significant dietary restrictions, I asked if a dish could be made without a couple of ingredients. The bartender was kind and accommodating at first, even having me speak directly with the cook to avoid any confusion. But when I explained my request, the cook flat-out refused to make the dish--not because it was impossible, but because she decided it would be "too bland." After 15+ years on a medically necessary bland diet, this was the first time I had ever been denied food for such a ridiculous reason. While sitting with my family, I could not shake the anxiousness and uncomfortableness I was feeling, so I decided to leave and sit in the car, but I wanted to thank the bartender for his initial kindness. What happened next was one of the most humiliating experiences of my life. When I told him I appreciated his effort but was disappointed by the refusal of food, he asked me, "Why are you telling me this?"--as if the experience at his own workplace was none of his concern. Then, in front of everyone, he mocked me for my disability, making exaggerated movements, speaking in gibberish, and acting like a stereotypical "retarded" person, mumbling under his breath "out of every 100 people, there is someone like you, always difficult and demanding..". For the record, I am paraphrasing what was said. I do not recall the exact wording, so I apologize for this not being 100% accurate. However, the meaning and tone was very well understood. I was in shock. Without even realizing it, I yelled the expletive "F U!" as loud as I could--something I normally can't even do because of my condition (paralyzed vocal fold (chord). I then left as fast as my disabled body would allow and started trundling away, anywhere but at this establishment. My son was so upset by what happened that he left after me and shuffled alongside in silent support, until my wife picked us up down the road. When my wife learned about this incident later, she was just as disgusted. I have spent years apologizing for my disability, for the accommodations I need, for simply existing in public spaces. But this time, I will not apologize. This time, I am calling it out. No one deserves to be treated this way. To the owners of Peace River Brewing Company, Surasak and Chollathorn, I want to hear from you. Do you condone this behavior? Will you hold your employees accountable? Or will you ignore this like nothing happened? I want the public to know: If you have a disability, be prepared to be mocked. If you have dietary restrictions, don't expect to eat. And if you expect basic human decency, you won't find it here. read more

Unfortunately we waited 1 hr and 45 min for our takeout order. Drank several beers waiting between 3 people. No discount or complementary drinks offered. Many people questioned where their orders were. We are one of 3 groups left in the restaurant still waiting! They close in 11 minutes. Outrageous! read more

I went to Peace River Beer Company with family. They've been in business since December 2017. Their bartender was not very knowledgeable about beer. Their seating was cool (picnic bench tables inside, booth, or bar seating). They also had an awesome array of games (foosball, night paddle, darts, bags, board games, etc...). My daughter and I played several games of foosball. They have a chalkboard listing the certain days they have food trucks/live. They have nice Florida decor inside. They are also dog friendly. Nice surprise lunch at Peace River Beer Company, with the name and the canoe decor, one would expect some rural Florida seafood cuisine. Guess what, it is Thai and Sushi!! Very interesting. Went today for lunch. What a fun spot. Delicious Thai food. Beer choices for days! It should rock during season!

We decided to try this place out because it was listed as a brewery and the menu sounded great. When we go there we found out they stopped brewing their own beer about a year ago. This was a little deceiving but they did have a great selection of local breweries. The food was phenomenal. The sushi was freshly made and you can watch them make it. The tuna was so fresh that we even ordered a second round. The chicken teriyaki was delicious and my SIL even said it was the best she has ever had and was the best meal she had on vacation. Super cute spot! Lots of room to sit and enjoy a few locally made brews (plus wine by the glass or non alcoholic drinks as well). Relaxed atmosphere and dog friendly if your friends are of the furry variety. We enjoyed a couple of drinks on a rainy afternoon. My fave was the Zombie Killer cider from B Nektar - a cherry cider with Michigan honey, so so good! They also have an area with board games as well.
