I had an appointment for a measurement between 12:00-2:00 pm earlier this month. I received a call from individual who was coming over that she had another client who could "only be home between 12:00-2:00" and could I switch my time for later in the day. I had plans that day and I said let's reconnect the following week. That was over two weeks ago and she never followed up. I don't think it's very professional to set up an appointment with someone and try to reschedule because someone else wants that time. I don't think it's my job to call back and reschedule. At that point I felt I didn't want to give them by business. I also used them last year to replace blinds-- the blinds are high quality , and the installation went well. However, after the installation I did not receive an email or phone call from sales person following up to make sure everything went okay with install. Seems like a minor issue; however, something that's been done with services I've had in the past with other companies.

When I went to purchase it I stressed to the sales girl that my main concern was to get a couch that the cushions did not crinkle because of past experience I had. so now she tells me I cannot return the couch because I bought it at a snow sale the only thing they're offering me is to have someone to come out and teach me how to reposition the cushions which has to be done on a weekly basis .Had I known that I couldn't return a $5300 couch that I wasn't happy with I would've never walked into that store. We had wanted our dining room, living room, and two-story stairwell painted to match the rest of…read moreour lower level. This project included painting some slatted sliding doors, which house our furnace and hot water heater. We also wanted to get 4-inch plantation shutters installed on all of our downstairs windows and in our master bedroom. We also had a few miscellaneous things that the owner said they could help with, including fixing some molding that our previous floor/door installers had left off/too short. The work was scheduled quickly. The painters were so friendly and nice. My elderly dog got sick and they called me at work and let him outside to go potty. The were pretty good with what they painted, but I soon noticed after they left that there was paint splattered on random things--fine sprays of paint on the side of a cabinet, drips on my winter coat hanging in the laundry room, the floors, hardware of the slatted doors, drips between the slats, etc. The molding they had made to fix a previous contractor's boo-boo not only looked awkward, it also wasn't painted. I wish I had said it looked bad at the time he'd shown me before install, but I wasn't really sure how it was going to look after he'd put it in. I'm fairly sure the owner said they'd fix the other door with the same molding issue, but because it wasn't specified on their invoice, I didn't bother to say anything because after all, I wasn't happy with the other one. The shutter installer came a few weeks after the painters once the product arrived. He told me he realized only had received product for one window and the other product needed to be tracked down. Within a few days, it was found and we scheduled another installation date. He came and installed the rest. My husband was home and working and didn't realize that the dining room was missing the split at the 42" mark so we let in light without losing privacy. They came back out again to quickly adjust the shutters. Ewald Interiors came recommended on Facebook to us. Pricing was reasonable based on other quotes we'd received. The house looks better. I love my shutters. I've cleaned up the paint I can. I continue to hate the molding. Would anyone else really notice? Probably not. Would I use Ewald Interiors again? Also, probably not.

I really think MC Cain Windows is wonderful and I would highly recommend them. They are very customer service oriented which is why I am so surprised that they would recommend Boom Windows. Nobody answers the phone at this co. Apparently their employees think everyone is attached to their phones so they can call you on their schedule. I don't know about you but I am not allowed to walk around with a phone during working hours. I would get fired. This girl that called me has absolutely no customer service skills.It just so happened that I took the day off today. I answered the phone and thanked her for calling. She kept using the word explosion. I had no idea what she was talking about. I told her many times that I never had an explosion of any type at my home. I also told her that she must have me confused with someone else. She said she wanted to read me notes from an employee from 2919.I had no idea if this employee is even employed by this co. She said the word explosion again. I can honestly say I have never called this co. before. They never did any work for me nor did I have anyone to my house. Apparently their policy is that any employee can write anything about anyone and get away with it. There are so many scams today and an unstable individual is allowed to do this to a potential client. We all try to help small businesses but I find this appalling. I have no idea if there is a new owner or why this is allowed but this girl was out of touch with reality it how customer service operates. I personally will not do business that enforces a policy like this. I would think you would feel the same. She sets the tone. This is the first person you talk to. Would you want to do business with a co. that treats customers like this?
