This is another Deli & Grill but they are going by Hollis Deli Number One. The is not your ordinary…read morebodega. They offer so much more! Walking in, you are most definitely noticed and greeted! I like that concept for the mere fact, if you are ordering from bodegas they let you order at the food counter, in my experience, but this D&G's take on a more direct approach by speaking and asking how they can help you, more like steering you in the right direction sking with gathering enough information to complete the sale. For instance I said that I wanted a Sausage, egg, n , cheese. I told him 3 egg whites, with the sausage links. Instead of putting it on any bread, the most important question was asked. Do you want it on a roll or hero, a key question to satisfy the customer and to provide satisfactory customer service. A key component in retaining customers. As I looked around the casual atmosphere to gathering information so that I may be well informed, I found some cookies that made me feel nostalgic in the best way. I was compelled to buy the Duplex Cremes, see photo! I also searched for the bigger pack of Biscoff, my new found favorite but they only had one selection and it was a mini pack. This store was less chaotic, smaller than the Merrick store, more organized and consistent with exemplary customer service. If I'm in the area, I'll return. An improvement would be to have bigger bags of cookies, like the Biscoff, other than that I'm satisfied and eagerly await the next opportunity to ..... Inspire more, Yelp more!

Hollis Deli I'm not sure if this place is under new ownership or new management, but it has…read moresignificantly improved since it first opened. I used to come here a lot when I was a kid, and back then the food honestly wasn't as good as I remembered. Now Big difference. The french fries are immaculate seriously, a single order will get you through an entire lunch break. The bacon is delicious and, thankfully, no longer burnt. I don't know what was going on before, but they've definitely figured it out. And they're no longer using that block of government cheese situation on the bacon, egg, and cheese everything tastes fresher. The place itself is cleaner, the drinks aren't expired, and the guys behind the counter are friendly and competent. Overall, it's a really good experience now.

Doug and Anthony were very good, the hot food entrées. They only have during the summertime but that's fine. There's so many sandwiches that you can pick from, they let me say that everything here was stacked so much so that most people will not finish even one of their sandwiches, I suggest they do offer wraps, rather than rolls and hero,, I highly recommend the Terminator grilled cheese sandwich, it's more than just grilled cheese. They stack it with ham, and it's a meal within itself, obviously I had the godfather and I got it on an Italian hero and yes I was full after just Eating half the sandwich, my favorite overall was surprisingly the Sharon stone, it's barbecue chicken. It was flavorful, delicious, if you'd like a little spice, I recommend the Broadway,,, The grand slam was also very good, anything that you ordered here you'll be more than satisfied,, the portions are huge, and his prices are very reasonable
