This place is amazing. The trainers care and are always helping and guiding and of course helping us reach our full potential. Once a trainer sees you've mastered a particular station they teach a new, more challenging move. So you are always working new muscles. You are doing cardio and do not even realize it because you concentrate on your station and work it hard. I LOVE the energy. The music level was fine. When it's busy the level the music is at is perfect. Their playlist is energizing and you feel happy as your move along. This gym is very clean and it's so nice to jump in when you arrive. No time schedules, no classes, jump in and get your work out going. Rarely is there a wait to start your circuit. 30 minutes and you'll be feeling great. Changes come fast. I have never felt comfortable at gyms, with their cardio machines, bar bells, and gym rats who correct your technique. I'm sure it works for some, but stepping into 30 Minute Hit, and going through the 30 minute circuit, felt entirely different! There are so many of my favorite things about this place and this workout. Because of the unique system, even thought the coach is working with everyone at the same time, I feel like I'm getting one-on-one training. I always get challenged in ways don't expect. An exercise instructor had recommended this gym to me. Initially, I was impressed to learn it was an all-woman facility. It was not the usual gym atmosphere where I feel self-conscious and judged. I came in for my free trial. and loved it. It was an intense but fun workout! I was excited because I had an injury that prevented me from doing high impact classes. This is a 30-min. Circuit adjusted for your fitness level. It's interval training with bursts of intensity followed by short rest in between. This is the most effective method for fat- burning. Women are getting results fast as proved by the testimonials and pictures. The trainers are on the floor at all times assisting you, cheering you on, checking your form...you have your own personal trainer. There are no set class times, you just come anytime and jump in on the circuit. This is a HUGE plus for women with busy schedules. Why the two-star rating after all the raving? One simple request that they refused to honor. The music was TOO LOUD! The playlist was motivating and fun, but the blaring and almost deafening music is intolerable. I had asked the owners if it is always this loud and could they please take it down a notch? "Unfortunately..." she said the music level was set by corporate and they were not allowed to adjust it. Really? I had visited again when I heard they were under new owners-same answer! Said they had no control and were unable to change music level. Perhaps the corporate music police visit regularly to measure decibels. I told him they were losing a customer. He shrugged his shoulders and apologized. ***I later learned from some friends that they didn't join for the same reason but did not give their feedback to the owners. So, this is a franchise, which means of course there are less than ideal corporate policies, and I wouldn't recommend committing to more than month-to-month if there's any doubt you'll continue, because as other reviewers have said, you are locked into the year (or however long) contract no matter what. I took the time to go over my options with DeWayne before choosing which membership worked for me, and I didn't feel like there was any sneakiness or persuasion happening at all. Also, make sure the hours really will work for you! DeWayne, Veronica, and all the trainers are so kind and wonderful. I love going each time! I've been a member since late May. It's... an intense workout, but oh man, the payoff? So good! I love that I'm learning a skill, I've grown more confident and people have commented that I carry myself with more confidence. This gym is a great community and there are fun promotions to help keep members motivated to go. Even though it's only 30 minutes, I've both lost weight and built strength, and it's really suited my having a full time job + a dog to walk after work. The trainers keep you motivated, and I love that there are levels to each station, and always an opportunity to improve or learn something new! I have done a number of gym memberships, but always felt judged, jeered, and what have you. Within a few months of working out at 30 Minute Hit, I have found strength and flexibility that I thought were long gone. Being a klutz and prone to injuries, the trainers are always ready to adapt the workout to my needs while cheering me on pushing me further than I thought I could go. They are always incredibly supportive, friendly, and helpful and never judging. The atmosphere of the gym, from owners, to other members, to the trainers is supportive, and the workout itself is so captivating, your entire focus is on what you're doing. What I love most about the workout is that I can tell it's working (dropped a pant size already) but it doesn't leave me so sore the next day I can't do anything, so I've often gone several days in a row without issue! Highly recommend for a wonderful community, a great workout, and amazing strength and body changes that can make you feel so proud of the work you're doing! I feel like I was talked into the membership when I came in for my trial. I thought I could make it work and it would be good for me. I was rarely ever able to come in because of the odd hours they keep and because of that, it was hard to keep up with the pace of the workouts, which made it even harder to get myself to go in on a regular basis. Then, when my AmeriCorps term ended, and I wasn't able to find another job and I was quickly running out of funds, they did not give me an alternative to sending the rest of what I owed to collections. I understand that I signed a contract, but I feel like not being able to find a job is a good reason to be flexible with a contract, or at least offer an alternative. I really wish that they'd had a 6 month contract to begin with because that's much more reasonable than a year. If you're not 100% sure that you can afford this and go during the hours they are open, do not sign up. read more

I tried this out with the free trial and knew by the time I was done that I wanted to sign up. For someone like me it makes it easy for me to go in and every thing is laid out and spelled out. You're done in 30 minutes. I also like the semi private lessons that you get as you go around to your stations. It's encouraging and doesn't feel awkward like with a personal trainer and having them watch you do everything. The only reason why I can't give this place a five is because the hours are limited and with my personal schedule it makes it a little tough but if I am able to get in it's easy for me to get through the circuit and I feel like I had a good workout by the end. This is probably not for everybody but I would suggest at least doing the free trial. I see people complain about a contract but it's no different than anything else in our lives our cell phones our, rent ect. Be smart and be realistic about what you can afford and how long you're wanting to sign up for. They do have a month-to-month option so those of you complaining about being locked into a contract you were probably just trying to not have to pay the joiner fee. That is on you and not the gym itself and as far as equipment goes I feel it is suitable for what we are doing it's clean, it's sturdy and it works. So for anybody that has not tried it at the very least you can learn a lot just from doing the free trial and take that to your own gym. and by the way I do have a free membership at a local gym but feel this was worth the monthly fee. read more

I did the free trial a few months ago and decided to sign up. I am SO glad I did this. Most gyms feel to me like they are set up for extroverts who know what they are doing already. This gym works well for my introversion. There's no need to wait for or ask someone when they will be done with a piece of equipment or space because everyone is doing the same circuit and times and there is no worry of overlapping needs in that way. That being said, I appreciate that the trainers will come up to each person and show them how to improve form throughout the workout. It's also a lot easier to talk myself into a 30-minute workout after a long day at work. It's a short time commitment, but a high intensity workout. I leave feeling strong, empowered, and sore (in a good way) after each workout. I started just under 4 months ago and I feel stronger and more capable in my body. This type of structured work out is working really well for me and I look forward to continuing. I also love looking around and seeing women across decades of ages doing this kickboxing cardio workout. I would appreciate it if they could add more hours to the gym's schedule to increase opportunities for members to go hit, particularly on the weekends and offering both morning and evening times for all weekdays (they currently do for some week days). I realize they have a small staff, so maybe that has to do with the limited hours at this point, but I'm hoping they will expand on this soon. While on some levels I greatly appreciate having a workout space that is for women, leaving out the hyper-masculinity of regular gyms (whew!), I am curious how this gendered space is being defined for non-binary gender and transgender community members. I also know that one of my cis-man friends was disappointed there is not a similar space to go to that holds the same structure for this kind of workout and I wonder if a gender-open franchise may be offered in the future along with a similar version of what already exists. read more
