It had to be in my name for the billing purposes and even though I never used it in the 24 hours I had it, they won't transfer it into his name. I have to cancel, lost my money and but a membership in his name even though he's a minor. All of his friends use their parents memberships and my son pays the visitor fee to go with them. But they won't let him use the top membership I just bought him. Discrimination much? My son's friend are white and he's not. Absolute WORST customer service of any gym we've ever been to. I would yap with them while I was resting between sets but would try and keep it short to be able to finish using the machine. Someone comes up to me and says something along the lines of are you using this machine while i was getting up to switch with my friend. I said yes I have one more set and my friend is just starting. They tell us to stop talking so much and hurry up, we say sorry and let him use the machine to avoid any trouble. They walks away and another person goes up to them and says I glad you said something they are taking too long. On another occasion, someone was rushing us off machines by standing and watching us workout. It was very awkward and I will not be going back!

Oddly enough, my home gym owner knew some folks at Kulshan CrossFit and got me in contact with Colby, the gym owner. He was so helpful in coordinating some times to come in and do the workouts since it isn't your typical class drop in. I went to the gym and met Ashley, who was coaching the 8:30am class and was extremely accommodating and even cheered me on while I was off to the side just trying to complete the quarterfinals workouts so I could enjoy my vacation. She offered up some tips to help me on my power cleans which I really appreciated. Furthermore, she went as far as offering to show me some breakfast spots around Bellingham as she found me outside trying to search for a nearby cafe! I gladly accepted her offer and she gave me a ride to the Bagelry and gave me a quick overview of the city as it was my second time there. This experience at Kulshan is why I love CrossFit. They truly went out of their way to make me feel comfortable in their space and I got such a great sense of community at Kulshan. Ashley even offered to let me play whatever music I wanted during my workout so I wouldn't have to wear headphones! It really made me feel included and I feel like I have a gym away from home to come to when I come back to Bellingham! I would highly recommend checking this place out!
