They take advantage of patrons who won't count their change and when asked about it the employee got very defensive. After totaling the order, they round up to the nearest dollar to avoid giving back any change and call it "tax". It sad how bad Chinese people exploit the black & brown community. I witnessed them charging an older customer $7 for 3 egg rolls and didn't give him any change. The listed price on the menu is $2.00, but the employee then said it was $2.20 with tax. Even with a total of $6.60 the customer should have still received 0.40¢ in change. I love this place. It is very tasty for the price. Lunch combo goes for $8 something, dinner combination plate goes for $10 something. I always order the beef broccoli and am always satisfied with the portions. I've seen comments about there being no beef, I can promise you that is not true. First Chinese in Arverne. Just moved to the area. Think it was a pretty decent. Ima vegetarian so my choices are limited in that respect. I can only go for lo mein or tofu dishes, so I'm heading on that criteria. I got the tofu and broccoli lunch special. There was an order mistakenly made by a client of mine and when we called to cancel the order as this restaurant was too far away, instead of listening they called him a "fu$king idiot" and hung up. Decent food. General Chinese menu. Best to stay away from fried foods, some items may be re-fried from the previous day. Anything with vegetables will be closer to fresh. Neighborhood is somewhat depressed, so the quality of the food is effected somewhat. In this area of far rockaway the quality of the food in general gets better from beach 90 to 116. I recently stopped in while working in the area and was very happy to see that they had re-opened after the storm. I was happy to see that they had the usual tofu/vegetable options that many Chinese restaurants have but I just ate so I went with an order of veggie spring rolls, which were quite tasty. I live within walking distance, and maybe I'm biased, but oh well, it is hard to find a better Chinese place than this one. The pork Fried egg rolls, and general tso's chicken are by far the best.
