Came here with the family for a very untraditional Easter dinner. The place has a cool decor with the front half for the Chinese food and the back half for the Hibachi. We went with the Chinese. I started with a Pina Colada a drink I only get in Chinese Restaurants for some reason. It was good. A bit Pineapple heavy. We then ordered a bunch of dishes to split as there was 7 of us. We got Boneless Spareribs which were really good. Smaller than normal and very tender with a great sweet glaze. Mussels with Black Bean Sauce which was my favorite dish. Giant but still tender mussels in an outstanding black bean sauce. One of the best black bean sauces Ive had in a long time. Grand Marnier Shrimp which were god but not as good as the long lamented China Chalet in Lower Manhatttan version. Still solid and a dish you dont see much anymore so everyone was happy. General Tsos Chicken was very good. Not much spice but the chicken was very high quality,not spongy at all. Tangerine Beef was another solid entree. Beef was coated in a light breading and sauce was good if a bit sweet. Roast Pork Fried Rice very good quality. Not that cheap yellow style. Staff was very friendly and efficient. The people having Hibachi were having a great time. All and all a very nice change of pace from the usual Italian food which we normally get on Easter. read more

We've enjoyed their hibachi before and it's always amazing but this time my family and I decided to dine in and try their Chinese dishes. What a fantastic experience! The food was absolutely delicious, and the portions were huge. We ordered family style and loved every dish. The shrimp in garlic sauce was unlike anything I've had elsewhere packed with flavor, not greasy or oily, just perfect. I ordered the General Tso's Chicken with white meat, and it was outstanding. The chicken was tender and juicy, and the sauce had incredible flavor. It was definitely worth paying a little extra for all-white meat option. We can't wait to come back and dine in again. One of my go to local spots. I can never get tired of this place! The food is always fresh and delicious. My recommendations are: House fried rice, beef with string beans, pork lo mein, chicken and broccoli and of course their wonton soup- delicious!! The place gets pretty loud because of the habachi show. It's a very enjoyable show. The service is super quick, I never waited more than 5 mins for my food to come out. Food and drinks were very good, but what was a complete turnoff and made me say I'll probably never dine there again was when it came time to pay. I asked to Apple Pay using my phone so when I guess was the owner came with my bill, printed out the receipt, the food was 99 and some change, he added my tip to the bill. he actually wrote it on the bill for me when to my knowledge tip is ALWAYS suggested. What if I wanted to give more for the tip? I feel as if he assumed I wasn't going to leave a good tip and added it to my bill. I feel that was pushy to say the least. I had the Chong Qing chicken, house special fried rice, and scallion pancakes. I would not recommend the Chong Qing chicken. The scallion pancakes were the best item of the trio. We had such a super long layover before heading to Qatar and decided to leave the airport for some pizza and Chinese. This place did not disappoint and it was only less than 5 miles from JFK. The server recommended the Spicy Szechuan Beef since we love anything spicy and this dish was spot on, so much flavor and decent heat. The bar drinks were limited as they didn't have all the ingredients to make an old fashion so we opted for the lychee martini. Szechuan Wonton with peanut sauce: this definitely put the "sizzle" in my craving... loved the wontons and the sauce had a nice kick to it, 5/5 3. This restaurant offers classic Chinese food and hibachi style cooking they do serve drinks (has a full stocked bar ) .It was pretty normal Chinese food for appetizers the scallion pancake was super oily and the coconut shrimp didn't taste like coconut and they gave these fried wonton strips that tasted like burnt oil .However the rest of the meal tasted fine like your normal Chinese food chicken with broccoli the sauce was a little more runny .Would come back however and try more of their other menu items ! read more

We randomly wound up here after my son wanted fried rice. We refuse to go to a Chinese fast food establishment, bc of stories we hear, so I suggested this place, on the way home from our excursion. We used to visit, often, at their old location. The ambiance was everything. They had two floors, one for hibachi and one for the regular restaurant. This new location is quite smaller, with one room. The hibachi is in the back. It's very bright in there compared to other Hibachi restaurants we've visited. We were sat at a hibachi table, but all the way to the left. I'm sure we could have moved our plates to the center. I'm with a kid. You think they would seat us in the middle, so we could view it at a good angle, and see everything. I was all the way on the left side. My son and his father told me to look at the presentation the cook did. It was the I love you woth the heart for love, with the food. It was hurting my eyes trying to look at it, to see what it said. Had I been seated front and center, and would've been able to see it, properly, that would've been nice. All of these hibachi places are different. We did notice this one didn't flip the food inside of your mouth, which is always fun. This was the first time I was in the same room as the people not eating hibachi, which made it seem weird. They have a small space. They did what they could. At least put some condiments like salt and pepper on the meat or chicken. They didn't put any on the food or grill. It was tasteless. I didn't try the rice, but the other people in my party didn't love it, and said it tasted funny. The shrimp was good. Went here for dinner with my friend, the place had very casual atmosphere. It wasn't crowded during the time we went. For two people, we had more than the perfect amount of food. We ordered eggs rolls and pork dumplings for our appetizer with chili oil and the mayo, which added a great kick to it. For our entrees, we had the moo goo gai pan (which came with white rice) and shrimp lo mein. Everything was delicious and as expected from typical Chinese cuisine. Danny's has been one of my favorite Chinese Szechuan spots for number of years really love how they do the general Tao old school preparation get a old China school vibe in this place went through today with the family. Had the pan fried noodles with beef the fried noodles with chicken and steamed buns all delicious. The food here is really good and so is the service quick hot with the old-school fried wonton noodles as an appetizer all good here. We've been looking for a new spot to get our favorite Chinese dishes. This place is definitely on our list of places to go to when we have a craving. We went inside to order to-go. Everyone we spoke to was welcoming and attentive to our needs. The place is huge with plenty of seating. Their bar is stocked up nicely. We decided to order chicken & broccoli, Szechuan styled beef, fried rice, white rice, and chicken wings. When we received our order, I noticed everything was packed carefully. That is always helpful especially with Chinese food. When we got home to try our food, everything was delicious. Our only wish is that the wings were bigger! But it seems to be a common problem these days that chicken wings are so small. Lol. So what can you do. Solid place. I have been here many times in both the old location and this one. I have coming here since the 1889's. Not my all time favorite place and I'd give them 3 & 1/2 if I could, but they're not a 3. Loved their ribs. Wonton soup was good. Loved the noodles they put on the table to dip in the sauce. Ordered the Shrimp and lobster sauce and an order of roast pork egg foo young. The egg foo young would've been excellent if there were more pork in it. read more

I've been coming here for as long as I've lived in the area at both of the locations . It's my go to place for Chinese food . I enjoy the boneless ribs and the chicken and broccoli and on occasion I get the dumplings . It's a little pricey not gonna lie but you do get what you pay for and that's top quality fresh food each and every time . The girls who take the orders are always pleasant and accurate. I can't speak for the service when dining in because I usually take it to go or delivery . The delivery is lighting fast ! Had a really great Hibachi dinner! What I loved about it was that it wasn't too crowded so when I went to celebrate my mom's birthday it was like we had our own private hibachi (in actuality we did as we were the only ones at the table!) The chef was great with all the typical tricks, done absolutely perfectly. He cooked my steak to a beautiful medium rare and it was bursting with flavor. I also got salmon (there's a steak and salmon combo hibachi) which was crispy on the outside and moist and flavorful on the inside. The hibachi entrees come with soup, salad, shrimp, noodles, and entree of your choice. The soup and salad were pretty standard. The shrimp were very right and tasty. And the noodles were the perfect complement to the dishes with great texture and a yummy garlic sauce. If you live in the area in Brooklyn I would definitely recommend the hibachi as a great celebratory dinner.
