The food is not consistent. They vegetable fried rice used to be excellent unfortunately my last 3 times both rice's tasted burnt. Unfortunately, I'm a 25 minutes' drive from there so it doesn't pay to go back and complaint and request a refund or exchange the food. The cook apparently is change often because the pork fried rice and other foods are cook differently. Every time I tried the same order it's cook differently and not as good as before. Look at this long black hair that was inside my steamed vegetable dumpling and then imagine how disgusting it would be pulling it out of your mouth and take note of how the hair is embedded in the dough. I placed an order to go. Large wonton soup, 2 small orders of chicken chow mein, one eggroll, small spareribs, small shrimp in lobster sauce and small house special lo mein. This came out to $47.25. (No free drinks or anything else- like in most takeout places) I asked for the spicy mustard and they charged 25 cents. Ok. Whatever. I've eaten/ordered in places like this and usually the food is so good that nothing else matters. Well, this is not true for this place. I found their food to be ok. It had very little flavor. The shrimp in lobster sauce had no ground pork in the sauce and it was very Congealed, with a Weird consistency. Very little flavor. The spareribs were chewy and tasteless. I do not memorize Chinese lunch special times but apparently this restaurant think they are so special that when I say ugh I missed the time the person on the phone had the audacity to hang up on me. Maybe they are racist and believe black people that call do not have money because I always order from this place and that was so rude!!! ok so living on the Rock you dont have a ton of choices. well one of my normal spots is Big Apple because you get a selection thats out of this world. great Japanese and Chinese selections and there are a ton of combo platters to choose from. i had one problem which i will save for last. here you go...... steamed pork dumplings are out of this world. They literally explode with flavor when you bite into them. delicious!! we got a large order of boneless ribs, the sauce was a bit on the sweet side but we got a mountain size of these babies, probably could have fed a family of 6!! Jax got the C16 shredded pork with garlic. nice tasty bite after bite the pork was juicy and tender as the vegetables had a perfect crunch. each was loaded with sauce that mixed well with fried rice. now for the down side. be sure to look closely at the pic i posted of the C4 General Tso's Chicken. now i have never been to an Asian country but i have gotten this dish a thousand times. what i received from Big Apple was chicken fingers in Tso's sauce. the fried batter on the chicken was like eating meat wrapped in a pancake. the sauce drowned the batter and made it a soggy mess. i had to peel off all the batter that surrounded it just to digest it. sorry guys, not impressed with this mess. If you are gonna post a certain dish, sell the dish. sure ill be back but i will probably stick with Lo Mein. read more

This place used to be another crappy Chinese American restaurant and nothing has changed. I was not a fan of this place. It is your typical rude, impersonal, shitty Chinese takeout-which RB has way to many of to begin with. I ordered the veggie met fun and garlic egg plant dish. Blah. Everything was bland and filmy with grease. The plus side was there was a good noodle to veggie ratio but I literally had to add my own seasoning to give it a taste. My friend's eggplant dish was worse. The thick brown sauce tasted like nothing. Overall, not a fan and I wouldn't recommend it here either. I've ordered food from here a couple of times based upon recommendations of family and friends. The quality of the food is great. The quantity is more than enough. I have not been disappointed with my food so far. I would give five stars but the woman who take the delivery orders over the phone is hard to understand and has a hard time understanding English and I've found myself repeating what I say several times. In just tried this restaurant for the first time. It is apparently a new Chinese takeout. The food was fabulous. I ordered a General Tsos Chicken Dinner and with Hot and Sour soup, which was full of mushrooms and tender, silky tofu. The chicken was moist and tasty, and the Fried Rice actually had egg in it!! I haven't seen that in years! Obviously these people know what they are doing. I had become disenchanted with the other places in Rock away, but this place hooked me right from the beginning.
