Updating my review, solely based on business practices - this does not reflect on the instructors…read more I cancelled a class for the following day 22 minutes into the 12 hour cancellation window the night before. An employee I manage called out of work for their shift the next day at 9:50 at night. I cancelled my 9:30am class for the next day at 9:52pm due to having to go into work and knowing I wouldn't be able to attend. When I called this morning to explain, I was told I would be charged for the "late cancelation". I pay for the unlimited membership, and attend class almost every day. I've attended 55 classes since joining in December. I cancelled 22 minutes into the 12 hour "window" and was told there was "nothing they could do". I have also been charged multiple times for "no showing" classes that I attended - so if you are a member, check your bank account frequently. This will be remedied if you can prove attendance via them checking the cameras. A note to all members: you must have an "extreme illness" in order to not be charged for a late cancellation. I can understand charging if I had cancelled a few hours before - but 11 hours and 38 minutes prior to the class - for something out of my control - is absurd. No empathy for their members who pay almost $300/month.

The scary type of gym people who don't know any better imagine, Except, there was nothing scary about it. Familiar faces, classical Equipment and the knowledge that you were gonna leave better than when you came. Miami Iron Gym takes me back to that. It's a place where grunting is allowed so long as you retail your weights. There's no link alarm and no texting. You don't workout, you train. No wannaBe drill sergeants shouting Etsy quotes at you while they film themselves. It's beautiful: people lifting. Imagine that. I was in town and didn't want to skip Leg day so I paid the drop in fee and spoke to Mr Juan at the front desk who was great. I made very sure to get my moneys worth in their variety of machines. This place is no frills and looks like the place you go to see some genuine changes in your mind and body.
