    Rye Whiskey and Bourbon Cream

Enjoyed this delicious Rye Whiskey and Bourbon Cream from 30A Distillery Company after finding them at the Seaside farmer's market. Sadly, this was during an annual beach vacation so I quickly enjoyed the liquor then ran out. Lol. I do wish that I had the opportunity to take a tour, too. The drinks are well worth it so give them a try!

Really enjoyed our visit. It's a small spot and you have to really look for it but it's worth a stop! The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and it's a comfortable space. We sat at bar and got a flight then one beverage.. everything we tasted was good! Lots of flavors you don't see at other distilleries.. I bought a bottle of limoncello ...I sampled it at an event and can't find anything like it! The prices were pretty high on bottles which may have been good thing cause I would have bought more lol! They have gifts like shirts and cups and other things.. I got a magnet to bring home to NC! I was very happy we came!

My husband and I enjoyed coming to 30A Distilling Co. It's a small distilling company that is the brainchild of a gentleman who owns a couple of companies outside of Florida unrelated to distilling. For someone who might not have a history in the arts of distilling, he makes a damn good product. We came here on a weeknight during our honeymoon. We were the only 2 there along with the bartender, who is actually a personal chef, and was creating some new libations for their drink menu. He was super nice and gave us some information on the joint and what they were in the works of creating. I think this place is going to thrive and definitely bring some flavor to 30A. All cocktails run between $11 to $15. I felt the price point was a bit steep, but the drinks are good and you got to remember that you are in Florida. Plus, this establishment has only been open for a short time. I am sure they didn't adjust their drink prices to anything other than what is market value for the area. I, on the other hand, couldn't tell you what the median cost for drinks here is for this quality. Either way, we did end up buying a couple of bottles of rum and agave to bring home with us. It was well worth the money spent. Parking is limited. They are located in an industrial area with a lot of other businesses. I am not sure how to explain it, but they have 3 spots in front and they share a joint space with a gym. The gym is a separate entity but shares wall space with the distillery that has a tasting room. Just know, it is worth the drive and tasting opportunity.

Crab island is on the list of…read morethings to do on every website when you type in Destin but in order to a rent a boat you have to get a license which requires someone in your group to take a test and also to be sober. No one wanted to be responsible for that so I found this option which allowed us to get to crab island and back without having to rent a boat. When I called them they asked me to pay them through cash app to hold the reservation which in hindsight actually seems pretty sketchy. I was having difficulties getting it to go through so they said we could just pay with cash. Fast forward, we go to the building and pay and then we had to drive and find parking to catch the boat. I went on a Sunday which is the one day they didn't have a shuttle bus going between the locations. Once we got to crab island it was actually really cool. You get tickets for drinks and snacks, they have a boat where you can leave your items, they have a DJ and they have floaties you can use. Everything was great until it was time to go. Bebe was the lady working the checkout. I was right behind a man who checked out before me and she told him and I that our groups would be on the next boat. She wrote down my last name and the number of guests in my group. I guess everyone decided to leave at once because it got very crowded. When the next boat came to bring people back the man who checked in right before me and his group went on and when we went to get on she tells us that we are on the next boat. Okay fine i guess... so then the next boat comes and she lets a huge group on and then calls my group. We had 7 people and after 6 of us got on she says the last person has to wait until the next boat. So we are all very irritated and we get off the boat. I'm confused about why she wrote down the people in my group and still proceeded to not accommodate the entire party. So I told her that we want the entire party to be able to ride together and she told me "I mean it's going to waste a little more gas but if you want to do it that way" ....... the boats fit 16 people so I don't quite understand how us wanting to be together wastes gas but their boats go back and forth every 3 minutes. Anywho, everything was great until check out and I don't think Bebe was able to quite handle when it got busier than normal. Oh and be prepared to see a million "Trump 2020" and "Make America Great Again" flags waving from 80% of the boats in crab island.

Unfortunately, for myself and my family we were sold on this idea of a pretty cool pirate ship that tours the island of Destin. Not at all with this ship does. This cruise is solely intended to entertain children while you explore a small area of the waters for example passing crab Island starting just a short distance away from Harbor Walk. We were lucky enough to see a dolphin take a quick flip above water, but if you blinked and missed it, which some people in my group did, then you missed it but it's not advertised as part of the experience so for those of us that saw it, we were lucky. I do find that there are many dolphins and you get to see them probably any day you're on the water. The ship is exceptionally clean, and I loved the laboratory facilities. Not your typical tiny bathrooms that you find on a boat. We did order the fast on boarding Tickets, which I did not feel were necessary. No one asked us for it and when we got to the ship, we were instructed to walk to the front just like everybody else and had to wait for one family to board ahead of us as they only board one group at a time. In my mind that family did not have a fast on boarding, however, who knows. We were not asked for the Pass and there was no line or sign to indicate what side to stand on if you had a fast on boarding. Maybe this is more valuable during peak season but definitely not now.
