You always know where you stand with your insurance and paying whatever may be due to them can be as simple as a couple clicks on your smart phone. The place is amazing. He is very caring with all his patients and knows how to deal with ones that have anxiety. He is patient, kind, caring and very honest. He will explain in great detail your options and give you his honest opinion. He is a doctor that will not "jump the gun" on any procedure. He is very knowledgeable. Example, this past New Year Eve; three days before, just as luck would have it, I had a terrible tooth ache the molar underneath the bridge. His office was closed for the Christmas Holiday. I called in hopes I would get an answering service instead I was able to leave Dr. Kretzschmar a message on his private mobile line. Dr. Kretzschmar called me back within ten minutes! He listened and explained what I should do. He recommended several Endodontists in the area said it sounded like a root canal issue. So I found an Endodontist on a Friday 3 days before New Year Eve celebration who did the root canal. I called Dr. Kretzschmar a few times after this procedure he returned my calls so promptly and helped me through my issues. I know of no doctor or dentist that would be so self-sacrificing on his holiday vacation to do this. He does this for all his patients!. I can't thank you enough Dr. Kretzschmar you are my blessing. I had X-rays done here with no protective collar--I didn't even know I was supposed to have one until I looked it up online. That's unacceptable and unsafe. If they're cutting corners on basic protection, imagine what else they're skipping behind the scenes. I was highly disappointed in the services I received from this dentist. They advertise themselves like some high-end office, but it's nothing more than a money trap. They don't actually take discount insurance--you have to pay in full and "hope" they bill it correctly later. Once they've got your money, good luck seeing it again. The staff even complained about insurance and discount plans right in front of me, basically blaming patients for not being able to afford their inflated prices. $2,100 for one crown, $282 for a cleaning, $350 for two small fillings--outrageous. And no in-house financing, either. I came in with a chipped tooth and asked if they could fill it for now since I couldn't afford a crown. The dentist refused, calling it "unethical." What's really unethical is refusing to help someone in pain unless they pay top dollar. The whole experience was miserable. The X-rays were rushed and painful, one of the instruments smelled awful (which made me question their sanitation), and the assistant acted like she couldn't care less. I've also had a bad experience here before with a wisdom tooth extraction--it was terrible compared to Dr. Burns, who actually knows what he's doing. This place hides behind a fancy building and inflated prices while draining patients dry. If you value your safety, money, and basic respect, avoid this office at all cost.

My mother and I drove 45 minutes to get to my appointment. Upon arrival for my appointment, I presented my insurance card, and I was turned away because they said that they don't take my specific kind of dental insurance. This was very frustrating for myself, and my mother, and it seems like this kind of situation could have been avoided all together. I really can't say whether I would recommend this dentist for their services, as I did not have any provided to me, but I can say that you can't trust them to give you the correct information regarding your insurance over the phone.

Root Canal, ugggg!…read more Driving up to Brevard Endodontics I was thinking of other ways I could be starting my day. Walking through the door I entered the world of a modern office that was spotless, all the equipment is state of the art. The staff professional and friendly, I could not have asked for anything better. I had the pleasure of talking with Sidney while making my appointment, and then we met in person. Sidney is a happy smiling receptionist, very friendly. I checked in, filled out the required forms and in a few seconds David a Dental Assistant with a smile on his face was calling my name. First off X-Rays, then I am seated, and blood pressure is taken. My Doctor Jon-Michael Scalercio was GREAT! He was professional and like everyone else that works at Brevard Endodontics friendly. I was explained each step of the procedure along the way during which several x-rays where taken and I am asked how I was doing. I was doing fine. After my root canal Dr. Scalercio provided his cell number I was told if I had any questions or problems to call him immediately. Later that night I received a call from Dr. Scalercio, he was checking to make sure I was doing ok. Can you believe that? In a world with no customer service Brevard Endodontics is like a breath of fresh air. Hopefully I will never need another root canal, but if I do I know where I will be going.
