Warning: Stay far away from this dentist What happened to proper safety? I had X-rays done here with no protective collar--I didn't even know I was supposed to have one until I looked it up online. That's unacceptable and unsafe. If they're cutting corners on basic protection, imagine what else they're skipping behind the scenes. I was highly disappointed in the services I received from this dentist. They advertise themselves like some high-end office, but it's nothing more than a money trap. They don't actually take discount insurance--you have to pay in full and "hope" they bill it correctly later. Once they've got your money, good luck seeing it again. The staff even complained about insurance and discount plans right in front of me, basically blaming patients for not being able to afford their inflated prices. $2,100 for one crown, $282 for a cleaning, $350 for two small fillings--outrageous. And no in-house financing, either. I came in with a chipped tooth and asked if they could fill it for now since I couldn't afford a crown. The dentist refused, calling it "unethical." What's really unethical is refusing to help someone in pain unless they pay top dollar. The whole experience was miserable. The X-rays were rushed and painful, one of the instruments smelled awful (which made me question their sanitation), and the assistant acted like she couldn't care less. I've also had a bad experience here before with a wisdom tooth extraction--it was terrible compared to Dr. Burns, who actually knows what he's doing. This place hides behind a fancy building and inflated prices while draining patients dry. If you value your safety, money, and basic respect, avoid this office at all cost. read more

The second star is only because they're friendly. Otherwise I'd say 1 star. I was referred to them for jaw issues I was having. They seemed clueless. Sent me home with nerf foam balls to chew on and charged me $900 as a very young adult. If I had any guidance or knowledge I wouldn't recommend going. read more

Awesome dentists and trained associates. The Gentle Dental office is always clean, and the staff are always kind, going out of their way to share a smile. I have been using the Chace dentists for over a decade, and Dr. Shah is a great addition to the team. The office even has a special children's area where young kids can play in their own spot - there is even a limited number of toys provided. The dentists are great, the front desk is horrible. They are condesending and sarcastic, try to make you feel bad if you haven't been there in awhile. Also, my first appointment, they all made me feel like I wasn't taking care of my teeth at all. I'm sorry, but medical comes before dental, even tho I always thought I had a nice set of choppers before I was told I didn't there. I'm not going back. read more

Update i still like greg as a dentist i feel the change of staff is different. First i felt rushed had three cavities done and not much time for my jaw to rest, i had my jaw open for 30 minutes not good. They should have been more time there. The assistant i never seen before was pretty roung with untensils. She kept stabbing me with suction tube, and holding my tongue down. I dont understand that. She had a very nervous hyper tendency. The x ray lady was new and a little rough too i dont understand some of the pictures she took, i rather not hold untesils in my mouth like a horror movie. I dont understsnd the change but its not good. Still a good place if they get the right people or training read more

Dr. Jen personifies the concept of "Gentle Dental". I am a true chicken/scaredy-cat at the dentist. It is not unusual for me to start crying just sitting in the waiting area and Jen, along with most of the staff, strive to help me handle my anxiety with compassion. Both Dr. Jennifer Chase and Dr. Gregory Chase are excellent dentists. However, the office staff have made serious mistakes, the most serious of which was a failure to timely forward my records to a Dr. who needed to evaluate whether I had an oral cancer. After 2 weeks of waiting for the records to be sent, I had to call them only to be told they didn't send them because I had not signed a release. When I asked them at the office, nobody mentioned a need to sign a release, they said they'd send them. When someone realized they needed a signed release they did not pick up the phone to call me. When a dentist tells you they suspect you have cancer you do not want a delay. The Dr. would not see me until the dentist send the records. So I think highly of the dentists and their skill, but office staff have failed me on several occasions, this one being the most serious. They also take notes on everything you say to them, even personal chit-chat conversation, and then bring it up next time so you think they remember you. That just creeps me out - I thought I was having an informal conversation about work, school, etc. only to find that it was being recorded. Ack. read more

Dr. Jennifer Chase gave outstanding care for a TMJ injury at a very reasonable cost for her level of expertise. My husband has worked in the corporate world for 35 years, but umpires for fun. He took an 85mph ball to the mask. Three days later his jaw started hurting, and by the time we got to Melbourne Beach for vacation he couldn't chew without excruciating pain. I researched TMJ/TMD experts and found Dr. Chase had specialized training in that very problem and was nearby. Our dentist at home is an accredited Fellow of Dentistry and he suggested she would be a good person to try. I called Gentle Dentistry and Dr. Chase worked us in very quickly, did diagnostic tests immediately, made a diagnosis, and sent my husband off with a very good explanation and plan of action. He's been doing much better! So fortunate Dr. Chase was nearby. She and her staff could not have been more helpful. read more

This is the best dentist I have ever been to. I was immediately put at ease and they were very compassionate and gentle through the whole procedure. They took the time to discuss and explain all my options. I am never changing dentists again!! read more
