Hired Glenn and his son to do some deck work. They, removed one of the two staircases coming off…read morethe deck, changed out the old wood railing system for the maintenance free kind, all new support posts and rotten deck board repairs, replaced the fascia with maintenance free boards to match the railing system, added a new gate at the top of the stairs, a new gate was also added to the fence below. They chiseled out 3 old deck piers no longer in use. They did a fantastic job. They were here around 8am every morning. They cleaned up their area every day. Both Glenn and Caleb were easy to talk to and answered any questions and concerns we had through the process. Overall, a couple of really nice guys that worked really hard each day they were here. We really appreciate all the work that went into making our project look great, meet code and to be strong and sturdy. Would definately hire again. If you need quality work done, give them a call!

First. We were looking for a remodeling of the Kitchen and Master Bathroom. It was planned to do…read moreit in 2020. Then COVID. The time spend as researching, researching, researching. We had several quotes (few in the 6 digits). My husband and I just couldn't agree on which one to choose from. The quotes were either too high or did not on design, and sometimes both. I called STL Design and Build Design, setup an appointment as my last resort. STL Design sent Tom Levinson. Mr. Levinson arrived earlier than time with his assistant. This is definitely a rare. We went through the areas for remodeling. Tom sat me down and listen to all I wanted to do. Then it came down to the details and pricing. The wants an can't live without. We finished with an estimated quote that we were very happy with. Tom was wonderful. He gave me sound advice on my selections for the kitchen remodel. He went through the cost, time-line, and process. Tom went to warehouses with me for selections on the items. Matthew Pevehouse, thank goodness for him. I had a family emergency out-of-state. Matt took care of everything for us. The whole crew were wonderful. Matt took pictures and kept me up to date. If there was an issue it was quickly resolved. He wired my basement wrong to where I didn't have power to half of my property & cut the internet line. I had to pay over $300 to other technicians to restore power & internet. I still have the contract that states he is to complete the job agreed upon. & yet, he still has not responded to my texts, calls or voicemails I have left him. I had to hire a different company to finish the room. They told me he made off with $1400 of the $1600 down payment I paid as he used the wrong materials & had amateur work. I'm a single mother who was paying who I thought was a knowledgeable contractor to complete a single room in my basement for my grandmother. He's untrustworthy & I say stay clear.

I chose Select Fencing based on their positive reviews, but unfortunately my experience has not…read morematched that. Early in the process, they removed a gate I had specifically asked to keep. I let it go at the time, but in hindsight it reflects a lack of attention to detail on the initial installation. I wish I had paid closer attention at the time of install. While the fence looked great at first, multiple issues have come up within six months. There are nails protruding through several areas, some boards were never properly attached, and both gates have repeatedly failed to function correctly--we often have to force them open just to get in and out of the yard. A wooden topper has also come loose and is now flapping in the wind. To their credit, they did respond to my initial concerns, but new problems continue to surface. Taken together, this raises concerns about the overall quality and durability of the work. I would recommend thoroughly inspecting the installation before considering the job complete.
