Had dinner with the family tonight. This restaurant was recommended by my contractor. Well it was a very good recommendation for sure. This place is newly opened and the parking lot was full at 5 PM on a Saturday. There is parking across the street. Nice place inside and greeters are very helpful and friendly. I had the #12 Crispy Taco Plate, comes with three tacos, and refried beans. The family had two orders of #27 Enchilada Plate it comes with Three enchiladas and beans, option of green or red sauce. One Crispy taco is 2.99. Not bad. Will be back finally found a good Mexican restaurant in the area highly recommend trying this place out. read more

New to the area and this spot made a strong first impression. Quick seating, really nice decor, and the outdoor seating was a great vibe. Caution: Not the same quality food as before the remodeling and terrible service. I ordered menudo - it was so fatty with red grease covering the top that I had to send it back. I tried to eat it and took about 5 bites, digging my spoon into the bottom and trying to avoid the grease. It was piping hot, so that was good. But the grease frankly grossed me out. The tortillas never came with the menudo until we complained and asked another waitress for it. Finally came from a different waiter, about 10 minutes after the menudo was served. Too late. Also, no one came to take our order after we were seated until about 15 minutes later. Lemonades took an equally long time. I will not return to this restaurant. It's too bad - it was a great restaurant with quality food and excellent service before the remodeling! read more

Well this time around it's the service that get them less then 5 stars again. The food was amazing as usual. The remodeling was very nice, but I was sliding all around on the floor. Idk what they use to clean it but I felt like if I wasn't careful at any moment I could slip and fall. The service was bad we waited for 20 minutes just for our soda and complimentary chips. And for get about asking for a refill I had to asked 4 different times for my 1 refill. If their food wasn't so good here I would not come back. read more

The Bar Gnome has zero personality and lacks a servants heart. Spent more time on her phone and chatting with staff that she didn't have much time for the guests. This place used to be good when it was a small hole in the wall. If you are looking for quality food for the right price, spend your money elsewhere. And stay away from the ribeye. 4.28.25 first time trying this place. I have seen it recommended on Yelp so I decided to try it. Very mid, food was not seasoned whatsoever, coffee was bitter/cheap. We ate during breakfast around 10:30am, so kind of surprised the breakfast wasn't great. However, I feel their prices are pretty reasonable and for two adults, our bill came to $27. The sign at the podium says to wait to be seated, but we were told to seat ourselves since the waitresses were "too busy" with tables. The restaurant itself is verrrryyy small, thankfully they were not crowded. The biggest disappointment was the food.. no salt, no spices, eggs were over cooked, bacon was over cooked. Went here for dinner with my husband and family...my husband ordered the three beef taco plate and I ordered the Mexican burrito. Both were delicious! Meat was melt in your mouth and the taco shells were perfectly fried. The burrito was huge and tasted awesome. The chicken in the burrito was moist and well seasoned, and everything was fresh. Real Deal Tex/Mex served in a pleasant festive environment by smiling waitstaff. What more could you want? Well I wanted an item that didn't appear on their extensive menu, but I saw they had the ingredients, so I asked them for an Ensalada de Nopal and without batting an eye they said sure and minutes later I had the best cactus salad outside of the RGV (if you know, you know!) sitting in front of me - Lovely! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE from the beginning to the end. The waitress had my friend's order wrong. Our waitress didnt even introduce herself. We asked for a small Queso she brings back shredded cheese. I was charged for the shredded cheese, small Queso and a to go cup. The CASHIER by the name of Jocelyn was even WORSE. The taco's are great. I food was hot and seasoned very well and services was fast. The services was a little spotty because we came in after the lunch rush and the staff was doing housekeeping cleaning tables,floors but once that was done our services was better. The restaurant is well maintained clean and the staff was very nice and friendly. The tables are nice and intimate but diffinitly family friendly.
