Although most of my sessions have been at her awesome gym (which is conveniently located right off Hwy 87), she's also been able to train me at a park as well as my own home! In addition, I appreciate her training style. I've worked with a number of personal trainers, and most of them were the kind that barked orders and yelled to encourage you to push through the exercise. Andrea, however, eases you into her workouts, and rather than yelling at me to work harder, she encourages me with positivity and tells me to do as many reps as I can. Her intention isn't to kill you every day so that you dread attending her training sessions, she instead builds you up little by little so that over time you build muscle and stamina through repetition and habit. It may sound weird, but I end up doing a lot more reps than expected because I find my own motivation to keep going. Moreover, not getting killed every time I see her (even though I do get unexpectedly sore) makes me want to workout more often, which enables me to stick with her program. All in all, I would recommend her to anyone that wants long lasting results; progress of any kind (i.e. weightloss, building muscle, toning, etc.) takes time, and she gives you everything you need to meet your goals.

During my first session with her, I told myself I was going to fight through the last set of exercises. Big mistake. I threw up in public. Thank goodness for the trash can. haha. But if you really don't feel well be honest! We gradually build our strength and endurance so she let me know it was okay to tell her I can't do anymore...(Those burpees will get you...;D) 2. Exercises are tailored to your goals I had a trainer who pointed out what areas he thought I needed to work on. That made me feels super insecure and uncomfortable working with him. I canceled my session with him. Andrea made me feel comfortable with talking about what my fitness goals are. She also checks in with you during the week to see how your exercises are going. I know I've gained weight through out the years. My weight fluctuated through out the years. I used to be 100 lbs when I was 18 and now at 27 I am around 130. I felt comfortable opening up to her and it helps having someone to relate to. 4. Gives advice on eating habits Part of your fitness is also changing your eating habits. Andrea gave me great advice. I usually give in to my cravings, but she reminds you of what your goals are and shares tips on eating habits. She doesn't make you feel like you have to give up a certain food. You can still have foods you like, but in moderation. I still eat what I like, but I won't stuff myself. 5. Great Equipment and Work Out Area (and she has Chickens!!) Andrea is equipped with new fitness equipment! She has a great space in her backyard. Newly remodeled with a grass area,TRX straps, weights, and other new equipment. She also has a nice little farm with chickens! It's a fun space and I love working out there. Don't worry they won't be running around you while you work out. :) 6. Provides a variety of different work outs I never got bored with the work outs because Andrea always added and tried new things with my work outs. One week we did a stair work out. She added a TRX workout which I loved! I actually purchased my own that I do at home. We also did deadlifting and squats which I've always wanted to do! I was always afraid of hurting myself, but Andrea made sure I had the correct form. She also provides a weekly sheet of the exercises/guide to help you during the week. 7. She'll make you do box jumps and you will have fun One of the most challenging, not because it required super strength but I was so scared to jump! Haha. It wasn't too high, but when I was going to jump on it, I started to second guess myself. I thought I was going to trip and fall over. The first jump is always the hardest. The key is to be confident in your jump and you can do it. 8. You will feel great! Before starting my personal training session with her, I felt so stressed out. I was always making excuses not to go to the gym. I'm more aware of what I am eating. I feel a lot stronger. When I first started I couldn't even 1 push up. That's when I knew I was out of shape. If you have a goal, and you can speak and understand English, by hour's end you will have a clear understanding of whether or not it's realistic for you. Meaning, if you're just nodding your head at her advice and you ain't doing it, she will KNOW and treat you like the ass that you are. Shari is the opposite -- she gives you a personalized workout based on your needs and what is going on with your body. She does not just offer you a set routine. She always begins by checking in with me about how I am doing, because I have various injuries for jogging, etc over the years. She has been amazing in getting me beyond these injuries. I had rotator cuff in my shoulder some years back from too much swimming (I hadn't learned yet from Shair how to mix up my workout routines). The orthopedic surgeon told me (no lie): Well, the part wears out and god didn't offer any replacements. So he was prepared to give me cortisone shots every six months. So that's when I started working out with Shari. She taught me how to strengthen my shoulder muscles gradually -- and guess what, no rotator cuff problem anymore. She's a gem, she give a hundred and ten percent when she trains you and then she emails me to see how I am doing! She has changed my life.

These two are great trainers and also great people. They're not just in it for the money--they actually care about their clients and are non-judgmental but honest. Nicolette will 100% kick your butt in the gym and help you stay on track to meet your goals. But she also takes the time to understand what is happening with you - she knows fitness and wellness isn't just what happens an hour(ish) a day in the gym, it's how your body is moving and what muscles are over and under-working, how you're eating, and what's stressing you out. She has given me the tools to improve in all of these areas. Nicolette has a drive for continuous learning and self-improvement that is unique in the training community and she's always able to share her learnings with her clients to drive better results. It's exciting to talk to her about the latest classes/intensive she attended to understand how our training will change based on what she learned.
