My wife and I are very impressed with 3D Auto Works!! We have brought our 1999 328i convertible to 3D twice. Once for transmission work, and once for stabilizer bar hardware installation and to repair the right front rotor. Both times the service and repairs were awesome! During the first visit Dan fixed a couple things that weren't on the list to fix, he just noticed them and got it done. I've generally done all of the routine work on our cars myself, but the wife's 2008 Mini Cooper S (the first new car we have ever owned) came with dealer maintenance and when the maintenance period ended we decided to work with an independent garage for the first time. After hearing some positive reviews about 3D, we decided to give them a try and we are glad we did. Setting up the appointment was straightforward, very friendly and accommodating on the phone. I knew the Mini needed new tires, new brake pads and rotors, oil change and alignment. I told them I was planning to buy the tires and brake components from TireRack.com and have them sent directly to their shop; no problem. When we dropped the car off the they gave us a tour of the shop (nice clean shop with plenty of good looking BMW and Mini cars), showed us the tires and parts which were to be installed. I had to take a phone call and stepped out for a few minutes; during this time they kept talking with my wife about her car and gave a thorough explanation of the work they were going to do. My wife emphasized that she didn't feel like they were talking to her "like a girl" e.g. they seemed genuinely interested in explaining exactly how a given component worked and what we should expect in terms of service life etc. Picking up the car was also a pleasant experience, they were open 8-6 which is convenient. We got there around 6 and the car was waiting, freshly washed, out front. They carefully reviewed the bill with us and all was as expected, no surprises there. Needed an alternative to the dealer price gouging for my 7 series and a friend told me about his positive experiences with his BMW at 3DAuto. So, well out of warranty, my water pump began leaking, fearful of the dealer tab, I gave Dan and his team a try. Not only was it a huge cost savings over the dealer (it's still a BMW so be practical here, but far less than a mortgage payment to the dealer), plus they have all the gear to diagnose the electronics too for my ASK buss issues with airbags, and seat belt tensioner faults! What a relief. Dan and his team can do anything the dealer can do in my opinion. Diagnosed all my BMW quirks and I was out the door driving what seemed like a new car! And just this week, I developed a problem with my cooling expansion tank leaking, and Dan went overboard to fit me in immediately and fix it (again at a very fair price) You're crazy to go anywhere else for your BMW service needs. They provide quick responses and always get the cars serviced on time. They provide honest advice on what to fix and what not to fix. This place gets it!!! Great honest service , half the price of BMW Dealerships. I went in for several items to be fixed , they did a fantastic job and saved me over 1100 dollars.
