Made a quick phone call and he promised to stay open late for us (was closing at 5) and he fixed our problem in an out in 5 minutes. We asked for just a temporary repair until we could get home to Boston but Eric did the full repair job in the same time I'd expect a temporary fix. He explained the issue, what he was doing, and even showed us that he has the specialty part of every make of car. Couldn't have asked for better, speedier, affordable care with such short notice. Eric is essentially a one man shop...he checks you in, does all the work himself, and checks you out. You know the old saying...you get what you pay for and you will always get quality work at Johnson Automotive. He will explain what is wrong and walk you through everything. I moved away for a few years and it took me a while to find a mechanic even half as good. I absolutely hate going to the dealer and having a "service specialist" check me in who has no clue about cars other than upselling unneeded fluid flushes and 30/60/90/120k mile "tune ups" and never getting to speak with the actual mechanic. Do not let dealers scare you...Eric Johnson (and other independent shops for that matter) can fix and repair ANY MAKE AND MODEL car...and with a lot less hassle and money than the dealer. I got the part easy enough ($13 ppd) and looked at a YouTube video and it looked pretty straightforward but since i didn't have the ability to lift my car i didn't think it would go so easily. so, i brought the part down today, and was back in action about 15 minutes later. $30 charge, i gave an extra $10 because the process was so easy and simple. would highly recommend!

Don't trust this auto shop. They don't know what they're doing. I brought my car in a very common…read moreHonda Accord for a valve cover leak repair. They said the VTEC solenoid needed to be replaced. I trusted them and let them replace it in addition to the valve cover gasket. After this my car did not run and would not idle and stalled out driving it out of the place when they said it was all set to be picked up. They spent the next two weeks trying to figure out what was wrong with it and did not correctly fix it. I ended up having to bring it to Honda directly. Honda was able to fix it in Concord in one day. All the additional diagnostic work with Brutus cost me over $800 and they still couldn't fix it, this $800 did not include the money I had to pay Honda to fix what Brutus had done. They then offered me a credit for that work. We brought my wife's Nissan versa in for something simple. We told them the AC wasn't working. It had already had a vacuum test done and been recharged with uv leak detector added and still didn't work previous to bringing to them. We also suspected it had an exhaust leak. They did another vacuum test refilled it again even though we had told them it had already been done and then they said it could not be verified whether the the AC system worked. They also said they could not fix the exhaust leak and we'd need to bring it to a different shop. They then said the charge would be $160 we picked up my wife's car and did not pay this. We had requested they call us before doing any work. They never called my wife. They sent me a text message even though it is not my car that the work was completed. They never got authorization to do the work after they inspected it. Do not trust these people do not work with them. They do not know what they're doing. Additional update. We brought my wife's car to exhaust shop to be repaired. They said the exhaust leak was not in the piping as Brutus had told us but was in the gasket and it was a simple gasket replacement and they were able to do it in under 2 hours. Once again Brutus was not able tocorrectly use the issue and it was a simple fix they could have done if they understood what they were doing.

So I pulled into my favorite gas station to get gas and and told them about my tire problem Caleb offered to fix it , and he did just that He replaced the sensor on the tire.
