I just drove home which used to be my best doing shop to go to. I wanted one donut a chocolate glazed one. I pointed in the glass which one I wanted. The employee said ..'this one is better in her broken English. I accepted the bag and bought a set of lotto tickets. When I got home and bit into the donut- It was Stale! Rather they look just cooked that day. Each box at $7 with a lot of donuts! When I saw that, I got the 2 boxes. But call them first to see they're still there. On February 7th, I purchased five dozen donuts and specifically requested all donuts with holes in the middle. While ordering, I noticed what appeared to be day-old donuts being packaged, and later discovered some of those were included in my order. I was charged full price, and my order was not filled as requested. Unfortunately, this was a disappointing experience. I hope the business improves quality control and order accuracy. read more

We went here the day after Thanksgiving at around 9am, after grabbing some Starbucks down the street. You can't fit many people inside, but it looks like everyone social distances. We got lucky and got there right before the crowd came. My fiancé and I bought the ham and cheese croissant, old fashion donut, and maple bar. We were satisfied with our items. The donuts tasted fresh and they also heated the croissant for us. But beware, they only accept cash!! That's a bit of an inconvenience especially when I rarely carry cash. Fantastic donuts! I judge donut shops by their Apple fritter and glaze donuts. This spot nailed it. Although I still like manna donuts apple fritter, this one is very good. Not overly doughy, this fritter is soft and has really nice texture and filled with apples. Perfect amount of glaze. Not dense and at. I snap really love their glaze twists and crumb twists. So soft. The bad thing is they do not have to much of a drink menu and bring cash cause it is cash only. This doughnut place is OK at best. I stopped in around 8:15 a.m. on a weekday and all that was left in the display cases were crumbs. Feeling like I wanted a little more than a doughnut, I went with a ham and cheese croissant. It had a strange, I don't know, rubbing alcohol taste to it. Bleh, not good at all. I had to immediately dump it. Sad. The coffee didn't taste very good at all. It's what I like to call "Coffee flavored water". It really didn't have a coffee taste at all. Not sure what's happened here over the past few years but the flavor of their doughnuts has become bland. Perhaps they changed supplier or manufacturer of the flour, oil and/or leavening agents that they use? Also, the apple fritters do not have as much cubed apples in them as they used to which also reduces their appeal. Donuts have gone from heroes to zeros. 3-D Donuts has been an institution in Highland for almost three decades, and with good reasons which I'll explain below. But first, a little history behind the place. Back in the early to mid 80's, the building that now holds 3-D Donuts used to be a video arcade known as "Space Station 7". Ahhh... fond memories of my adolecence go back to here.. Many weekend spent plunking coins into the machines chasing pixels everywhere... Good times. And did you know? The WORLD RECORD for Pac Man was set in this building during a video game tournament. And it still stands! Then alas... in the mid to late 80's.. the arcade went under, and from its ashes arouse an odd-sounding little place called 3-D Donuts. At the time, the name of the place referred to the HUGE SIZES of the Donuts they made. I remember large delicious monstrosities of doughy goodness I'd buy from there and bring to my High School in the morning to share with my friends. Over the course of time, the sizes shrank down to a somewhat more normal size; but the quality always remained the same. The shop is ran by a friendly Cambodian/Laotian family, and is open 24 hours a day.. 7 days a week. They never close that I know of! We strolled in at 10pm on Xmas Eve night and picked up a yummy selection for the morning - and saw them prepping a new batch for the next day! They offer a big selection of everything you'd expect from a Donut Shop.. including delicious drinks both hot and cold to enjoy the donuts with. And, as referenced by another Yelper - the right-hand side of the shop is a little convenience store. 3-D Donuts has been a place for a sugar-junkie's fix for a generation and hopefully will remain such for at least another. Need an Apple Fritter at 2:30am? This is your place! The only thing preventing me from giving it 5 stars is the fact that they accept cash only..they REFUSE to get an credit/debit card swipe machine. Oh sure, there's a little ATM machine in the corner where you can take out $20 or so.. but please!! Come On!! Join the 90's at LEAST! Still and all - yummmmmmmmmy donuts! read more

Love this place. It's in a shady area, but this yummy donuts nonetheless. The owners are very nice and friendly. Also the prices are pretty cheap. The store is pretty big, where the left side has all the tables, the middle has all the donuts, and the right side is like a little convenience store. Really impressive donuts! Their white iced with sprinkles are more like vanilla cake than cake donuts, light and delicate. They have interesting frosting options like orange, maple, and cherry.
