This review is simply for a terrible doughnut they made and sold to me. A buttermilk bar, my favorite type of doughnut, and they ruined it. It was the worst one I've had in my life. I'm 42 and chubby, so... It was dry, and I could see areas inside that looked like flour, I guess? I'm not sure how a doughnut place could mess up such a thing but I was sad, you guys. I ate half, offered my kids a taste so they could either concur or call me crazy (they concurred), threw the rest in the trash. Doughnuts are an inexpensive but esteemed treat. A five-star review for a donut shop? Yes! It's Yum Yum for all of the right reasons! Their employees are cut from the same cloth and obviously on the same page of the Customer Service Bible that states in passage 4:10 in the Book of Hospitality, "Thou shall always greet customers with a smile and treat them like family." I look forward to ordering my turkey avocado (on a jalapeño bagel) with a few chopped up jalapeños from them in the morning. By the way, that's an amazing bagel sandwich, but all of their sandwiches are fresh and tasty. I generally will order some donuts to take back to the office (I steer clear since I'm trying to lose the donut I have around my midsection); everyone loves them because they are always fresh and sometimes still warm. I never thought I'd review a donut shop, let alone a Yum Yum donuts, until now. This place is situated right in the hood. It's not the best area, but it's not the worst. Now that we've established that... I remember Yum Yum Donuts from the 90s/00s and all I can think of is sub-par donuts and one person working behind the counter. Not anymore. This place is amazing... Breakfast bagels, sandwiches, tortas, smoothies. You name it, they have it. The donuts are freshest in the morning, and they have a huge variety. I couldn't rate each donut individually, but I will say that I haven't had a bad one. What I recommend everyone come here for are the breakfast bagel sandwiches! They're seriously amazing. You choose whatever bagel you want and they'll make the sandwich for you. I usually opt for the Ranchero bagel - it's so yummy! And I always get a coffee. I don't know what kind it is, but it's better than that nasty-ass Pike Place's coffee they sell at Starbucks. Like seriously, their coffee is so good here! And they can even put cinnamon in it if you'd like. Of course they also have half and half and French vanilla creamer available. I've been here early morning, but also like early-early morning (random night). There were two guys working there, and they were super nice and gracious. This place is located in an upscale part of San Bernardino...in the entrance to the foothill area of Del Rosa Canyon. Very upscale homes..... The donuts were fresh and good! Very simple review.
