I came to Foster's donuts with my four-year old after to make good on all of my failed promises of getting him our favorite chocolate bar doughnuts when taking him to school in the morning. I was craving some sweets for myself so I decided that a rainy Thursday evening at 6 PM would be a great idea to get a chocolate doughnut lol. I pulled up Yelp and saw the Foster's Donuts was just a block away. As I was pulling up to the donut shop I wasn't expecting much of a selection at this time of day. However, I was pleasantly surprised to see that there was still a great selection of donuts and probably at least 10 to 15 chocolate bars or twists. We were both ecstatic to see that they had our favorite donuts and we picked up two of them. I believe the lady who helped us is one of the owners and she was very sweet and even offered my son a little extra treat! I must admit that when I took a bite of the chocolate bar, I was shocked at how soft and fluffy the donut was. I was fully expecting a dry end of the day donut! If the donuts in the evening are this good, we'll have to come back when they are fresh in the morning!!! read more

Current rating is accurate. It's not the best but definitely not the worst in the area. However, when I went, the service seemed rushed? There was no in there except me but I told my daughter she could have one & too look around and every time my daughter just said look, the lady grabbed it. I told her I was only letting her get one, but when we checked out, she charged me for two and gave her two... it's whatever I just gave the other away to a homeless man outside but yah... The quality was okay... tasted a bit stale but still good... not great. It was poorly lit but I don't think it's entirely their fault, the building was facing away from the sun and is dark & dingy in itself. Their donut case was light up though, so that's good. I got three donuts, $5.25... kinda of pricey for the quality. They are under new ownership . Their stuff is awesome. Breakfast sandwiches are cooked to order and fabulous. Everything I've had is super fresh and they have improved the inside with beverage cases and fresh coffee. So much cleaner and welcoming now. read more

I needed a sweet treat for my guests at my baby shower, and they were able to help on such short notice. They even made the cutest "donut cake" for the occasion! The donuts were absolutely delicious -- soft, fluffy, and perfectly sweet. They were a big hit with everyone, especially the little kiddos. I don't really know if everything is bigger in Texas, but Foster's Donuts believes they have Texas sized donuts, see my pic, they are huge. At the corner of Tennessee St and Colton Ave, they can be a bit difficult to access. But open 24/7 to get a sugar/donut fix, you can plan accordingly. Once I was in the parking lot, they had 2 doors open, see pic, and it was smooth sailing from there. Fortunately, they had a small sized apple fritter. It was as expected: amply glazed, doughy on the inside with a firmer skin, and some cooked pieces of apples inside. It was good. I liked the variety that I saw, and the novelty items such as the Texas Sized donuts. They also had some other overly sized items. Unfortunately, it's not a great spot. I feel like their motto is " why are you here?" We stopped by to get something sweet after visiting another local spot in the area. Now I don't expect top customer service but I do expect common courtesy. As we walked in we saw a lady working behind the counter and she was on the phone so we stood around awkwardly for awhile. Finally, a guy stood up from the back and sighed as he walked up to counter. He firmly and swiftly asked " what do you want?" After telling him our order he asked us " is that it?" When I asked him if they have touch to pay via our phone, he just looked at me and pointed at his machine but I could not reach it. He kept sighing and I had to reach my arm underneath their glass to pay. When the transaction finished he said loudly " BYE!" which I took as I need to leave immediately and i am not welcome here. The donuts were over 7 dollars for 3 so it's also quite expensive here and the quality was also not fresh. There are so many other donut spots so I just won't return. :) read more

I bought an old fashion, apple fritter, a dozen cream puffs and a Texas size donut for my sick grandchildren. I only had the chance to taste the cream puffs and they were really amazingly delicious. Their cream puffs are big to be considered a bite size cause I had to bite it twice compared to some I had bought from other donut places. Plus the chocolate on top of the puffs are not just a strip of chocolate like others but really dipped with yummy chocolate and every bite you can taste chocolate coming together in my mouth with the custard filling and the dough .... I am planning to get more ... After delivering the doughnuts to my grandchildren I decided to chk in on YELP and at the same time just see how this place rated on Yelp . To my dismay there were so many 1 star rates due to rudeness of the cashier, comments were towards this Asian lady who was rude!!! As a matter fact I kinda look back at the time that I made my purchase few minutes ago .... hmmmm she was rude cause I was asking questions and she was rudely responding to me like why bother her with damn questions lol ... I was just so happy seeing those cream puffs that I really wasn't paying attention to her ... It was so hot that I just wanted to make my purchase and leave. The store also had few 4 stars reviews but I paid more attention to the 1 star reviews that outnumbered the 4 and they were pretty bad comments. The rudest donut shop ever! The older lady never talks and acts as if she has better things to do! Never again will I come here!!!

These donuts were not good, had no flavor just tasted greasy, like the most cheap grease you can buy that has no flavor. A woman stood up and approached the counter with no customer service skills. She just kept saying and what and what else and seemed overly rushed to have me order in a hurry, and to have the other person charge me quickly like it was a matter of life and death. So we moved to Redlands in Nov, we have been looking for a doughnut shop since then. We have tried 3 other places before here. Were home!!!! Omg these doughnuts are amazing, we got a dozen. I had the glazed chocolate frosted doughnut and it was nothing short of amazing. Fresh and fluffy with delcious chocolate frosting and every kids fav sptinkles! My kiddo ate 2 thats how good they were. They take Atm, a dz only costed 14 which is not bad. This shop is off tenessee ave. Rude young kid at the counter. Wouldnt give me a box for half dozen. Many places do! If you stuff 6 donuts in a bag made for a 3rd graders lunch, they get all the icing on each other and get all soggy. They dont even taste good, it was the only open one besides Yuck Yuck donuts. My advice, go to Karen's Donuts on Wabash and Lagonia. Reasonable and a dozen or half dozen is way less, and taste way better. Customer service at Foster's sucks monkey butt. The giant glazed donut warmed up is by far the best tasting donut I've ever had in my entire life. I've never tasted a donut better than Krispy Kreme until this very moment. You've got to love a donut shop that is open around the clock, 24 hours a day. I'd give a bonus star just for that. The interior is not fancy - super basic, bare bones, mom and pop looking, but the workers (owners?) are super friendly. A friend and I came by to pick up a couple of dozen donuts to take to the dance studio with us, so even though the seating was limited (only two-four seater tables) it wasn't an issue. The prices are super reasonable, only $.85 each for plain cake donuts; I don't remember the price for a dozen. The donuts were fresh and light (I hate heavy cake-like donuts) and very tasty. Everybody at the dance studio was pleased with them. I had a glazed donut and it was super fluffy and had just the right amount of glaze on it. The glaze had a nice texture and was not overly sweet. The parking lot was tiny (I mean REALLY cramped) but it wasn't hard to find a space on a Saturday morning. Great donuts... Nice people running the store... Reasonable prices.. What a hidden gem! Who would have thought a hole-in-the-wall donut shop could taste so good! We found this awesome little shop as we were craving a quick donut - and woweee! They have a good selection of different donut options, they're great quality and they're open 24 hours a day. Yes, I said QUALITY. Went in last night at around 10pm just to buy a few doughnuts , when I went in there was no one at the counter to attend me and had to wait for someone to finally come from the back to help me it was a young man and he was not wearing a mask.I asked him why he wasn't wearing a mask and or answer me but just saying oh I have one but it's in the back room. I also noticed a small bug flying in the glass case by the doughnuts and all he did was just move the donuts around as if that was going to help I ended up leaving very disappointed I will never return there again read more

I experienced horrible treatment and customer service tonight from the short older Asian woman. I wanted to purchase a cinnamon roll and I wanted point out the exact donut. I dealt with her on two previous occasions where I simply pointed out the cinnamon roll I wanted and I paid for the product and left. I've been to the store several times and I have the receipts to show. By visiting this establishment several times it's safe to say that I've demonstrated a liking to the product and they gained a new repeat customer. Tonight was the third time that I dealt with this woman and she was absolutely rude and very disrespectful to me. On the first visit it was neutral. On the second visit I could pick up on her vibes as if she did not really want to serve me and made it seem like it was a chore to speak to me. I made a mental note of it and gave her the benefit of the doubt assuming that she may have had a bad day. On tonight she was out of control and very disrespectful. I came in and pointed to the cinnamon roll that I wanted and she told me I cannot pick the one I want and I will get whatever she gives me. I immediately reminded her that she never mentioned this standard on the last two visits and there was no sign stating that the employee has complete discretion to give the customer any donut they choose. She immediately said "I don't need a sign because I'm the sign". I was completely stunned and in disbelief because I've never experienced that before in a donut shop. I asked her one last time can I please have the donut that I'm requesting and she said no and she took the donut out of the bag and put it back on the rack. She refused me service and I left. I find this disheartening, unprofessional, and downright rude. I am currently an essential employee working in public safety/health and my life has been turned upside down and I don't know when it will go back to normal (if there will be a normal). That lady has no idea what I'm going through everyday working in hazardous conditions and coming home everyday hoping and praying that I do not infect my family. All I wanted was a donut so that I could take it home, decompress from my stressful and hazardous job, and just enjoy the good treat. That lady treated me like I was a piece of garbage and I resented that. You don't know who walks in and out of your store and you don't know what people are dealing with so when you are rude and disrespectful you don't know how that can affect people. Shame on you! I will definitely spread the word about my mistreatment. read more
