I hired 3D via Home Depot kitchen design services. The project turned out great! I just went with new cabinets and countertops. A slight change only in floor plan. The quality of their workmanship was really good for the price. The job took about 2 months total to complete from demolition to finishing touches. I was really impressed with the communication from their office manager -- she was quick and thorough and easy to work with. 3D Remodeling did a fantastic job on renovating our kitchen. The entire experience was positive. Kurt, Jeff, Brandon, and Luis are highly professional. These are not the guys you see on TV that come in with sledge hammers and destroy the place. The demo was clean and efficient and dust was minimal. At the end of the day they swept, vacuumed, and mopped. Who does that these days? Kurt runs a great team that gets along well, and work seamlessly together. We ordered our Thomasville cabinets through HD, and they are well built. We got several bids and 3D was the most reasonable. I will confess that Kurt is a neighbor of ours. Our kitchen looks like something out of a magazine, I tell you. The house was built in 1910 so the kitchen had to be gutted. Omg you should see it now. Gorgeous tiles with beautiful cabinetry and appliances and beautiful lighting. We tried to give it a classic look, not too modern so it would fit with the age of the house. Working with Kurt and Brandon was amazing. We consider them friends. It felt like they were living with us and now we miss them. We didn't have the best experience. We were unfortunate enough to be assigned to these guys by Home Depot for renovations project (kitchen). Not the best communications with the team. there were few changes of order (based on city's code not us changing the order) and we felt like we were overcharged. 2-3 months project took about 6 months (not all their fault as we had to deal with other hd contractors and covid shutdowns but it didn't feel like we were the priority for these folks). Inspection by city failed 3 times (before the mistakes were corrected). There were few good/honest workers in the team but overall , it was not a good experience. I probably would not work with these guys again and will Ask Home Depot to assign different contractor to my future projects (if I go with Home Depot again). read more

I contracted with Home Depot (HD) for a major bathroom remodel and electrical panel upgrade because I wanted a remodeler who was professional, consistent, who represented integrity and that I felt could trust and partner with. The 30 year tenure with HD was a major consideration for me from a business perspective and I was not disappointed. I most definitely would consider working with them again on future projects. During the design phase it took some patience as Home Depot was the middle man (not a bad thing at all--reviewing separately), but once we started it was 3D and me and it flowed very smoothly. We kept it to a mutual schedule and communicated constantly about everything during the job no matter how big, how small. We recently remodeled our kitchen using Home Depot and 3D Modeling. (Home Depot contracts 3D for installation of their cabinets.) We had a great experience with 3D in the entire process - from scheduling an install date, coordinating pre-installation needs, and actual install of the product. The installation specialist was very professional, arrived on time each day and even finished the installation two days early! I wish the rest of the kitchen remodeling process had gone as smoothly as the cabinet install - and that was thanks to 3D's expertise. I was paired with 3D Remodeling to complete a total kitchen remodel via Home Depot. I met with Jim and the Home Depot kitchen designer to discuss the labor quote for my kitchen. Jim was patient as he talked me through the quote, what it included, what it didn't include, and advised me on various ways to reduce costs (like doing my own demolition, installing the insulation myself, etc.). Through no fault of theirs, our timeline went out the window due to asbestos being found in the walls. The cost savings I was going to find by demolishing the kitchen myself was eaten up by the asbestos remediation. *sigh* That's a whole 'nother story though. Everyone who worked on my project was kind, friendly, and enthusiastic. I received emails daily from the office staff to let me know who would be at my house and what time to expect them. This is key because I have two very large dogs at home and needed to make sure that they were out of the way. Sometimes there wasn't anyone scheduled, or the day's work was scheduled for later, and I'd receive a phone call or text message asking if someone could come by to work or drop off a piece of equipment. There were some minor hiccups with communication, though, when someone forgot to press "send" on the email. It was maybe 2-3 times in the course of the entire several months' long project, so I don't think it was indicative of a problem. People aren't perfect. Every couple of weeks or so, I'd have a meeting or phone call with Kurt (the project manager) to discuss where we were with the project, any issues I was having, any questions or clarifications he needed answered, etc. If there was ever an issue, he was only a phone call away. I also appreciated the care that they took with keeping the work space clean. I didn't have to worry about my dogs getting their paws hurt on any glass, nails or rough wood on their way to and from the back door. I just thought that I'd note for folks who haven't done a major remodel before: I've been through a kitchen remodel before this one, as well as working on two new library buildings, so I completely understand how timelines and workflows work when it comes to construction. Construction companies often have small crews and they work on multiple projects at a time. This keeps their crews busy and allows for work to continue at a steady pace. As a result, you may have one guy at your site for a couple hours in the morning and nobody else until the next day when you'll have two people there for a half or full day. And, if suppliers screw up or the City inspectors decide that they're too busy to show up this week, your project stops. There's nothing that the construction company can do about those things. Just be patient and kind, and you'll get through it all OK. read more

Cabinet Installation. 3D was recommended to us by our kitchen designer at Home Depot. We used another general contractor for most of the project. However, since we'd bought our Kraftmaid cabinets through Home Depot, we thought it made sense for their partner to install them. This worked out very well. Communication between 3D and Home Depot was good, especially when some damaged cabinets needed to be reordered. Jeff handled our estimate - very experienced guy. I found the Home Depot project estimating sheets somewhat obscure, but the bid was fine. Patti was our scheduling contact at 3D. She was prompt, knowledgeable, and friendly, and always kept us informed about work schedules. Paul from 3D was our installer, and he is a real craftsman. Paul was always prompt, neat, calm and courteous. His skill and creativity are first rate. We wanted to bring the cabinets out 4" from the walls to give us deeper counters, and he handled that very well. Paul dealt with our sloping floors, and unsquare walls, installed "constricted" or 90-degree door hinge adapters where needed, and added some very nice trim to dress up the family-room side of our new peninsula cabinets. (This entailed a very reasonable added charge). The kitchen is beautiful! Thank you Paul, and team! read more

I would give this place 0 stars if I could. Before I begin, we only used them because they were the only contractor company Home Depot used. Brandon and Gilberto are the best employees from this terrible company. It's a shame such talent is wasted on this terrible, unprofessional company. 3D worked on my kitchen remodel for almost 4 months and they managed to piss me off almost every time they were at my house. Chris (the owner's son), is lazy, he only came to my house once for a total of 4 hours and I know this much about him because he was a Chatty Cathy: 1) he's not 30 years old yet, 2) he's in school for culinary (I know this because he took one of my bottles of wine), 3) he wants to find a girl to settle down with but all the girls he meets at places do not give him the time of day (smart chicks!), 4) he wants to buy a house but he can't afford it because the city is too expensive, 5) he can probably only afford a house under $200k. This is not professional conversation to have with co-workers at a customer site, he was the only one talking. The worse part of his yapping was he basically told me that "Home Depot doesn't know shit". This Chris has no respect. There were 3 times where I had to run to HD to pick up materials because they did not give me any advance notice. The owner, Jim, never apologized, all he ever gave me were excuses trying to justify everything. The only time Jim came to check on how the project was going was the final walk through. The reason is simple, he wanted to make sure I signed off so he would get paid. He comes in my house in a floral beach shirt, cargo shorts, sandals, sunglasses on, and Starbucks in one hand...a total putz, completely unprofessional. I explained my frustrations from the start of the project to the day of the walk through, excuses were all he was giving me. He only apologized because I pointed out the fact that he never apologized. He accused me of not complementing his employees. That was uncalled for since I bought Brandon, Mike, Gilberto and his son Chris lunch to show them some appreciation. Brandon said no customer ever bought them lunch. I believe that action is stronger than words, I don't speak bullshit like Jim does. Jim actually had the nerve to tell me, "I took the time to come out today because I care about you." I had to fight to not blow up laughing at his bullshit. Does he think I was born yesterday? It's his job to be out there at my house! Plain and simple, he just wanted to get paid, he doesn't give a shit about me as his customer. I could go on and on about all the times they pissed me off, but I won't. The reason why I spoke up every time they messed up is because one of the workers encouraged me to. He said I'm paying a pretty penny so I deserve to get what I paid for. So to everyone who is even thinking of hiring these clowns for your remodel, DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT HIRING THIS JACK OFF COMPANY!!! read more

He and his crew complained all the time that he had too many projects and that theycould not handle them all. Why is Home Depot giving them so much work? They have delayed our kitchen remodel over 6 weeks, only show up to work once or twice a week, their scheduling person Mary never knows when they will show up next and now the refrigerator they installed leaked and ruined our brand new floors! You would think after all of this they would be willing to replace them right away, but 8 days later there is no commitment yet. I had everything replaced, so the kitchen was practically gutted down to the studs and 3D did new plumbing, electrical wiring, duct work, new windows, recessed lighting, cabinets, appliances, tile backsplash and a bar area. I Bought a townhouse at Santa Clara last year while still living in Los Angeles area. I have lived in Southern California for more than 40 years and had a plan to move up to north after retiring in 2016. Ai first I saw the 27 years old townhome, the kitchen looked old and made overall house looking dark and older than the actual age. There were so many models, and contractors on the market Therefore, I decided Home Depot to design the kitchen remodeling design., Following the design, Home Depot hired 3D to demolish the old kitchen, install the new kitchen cabinets, sinks, countertop ands appliances, As I lived 400 miles away from the job site, I totally depended on the 3D workers and management. The entire work was done beautifully, and we are very proud of our kitchen, Our new house now looks million times prettier than before. I would give this company no stars but it won't allow you to give zero stars because it won't take your review so this company deserve zero stars. Their customer service is terrible they work directly through Home Depot. I thought Home Depot and 3-D were one entity. They measured all of the cabinets wrong and delivered the items and put them in my backyard because my kitchen wasn't ready to be put back together. When I asked if they could store then they asked if I would pay the storage fee. Then when the cabinets were about to be installed , to their discovery they were completely wrong and had to remeasure and reorder new cabinets. Then the first cabinets were put back in my backyard again because they wouldn't take them away. They Charged up front for Everything in advance several months before anything was ever done in my kitchen.When dealing with Patty at 3-D remodeling she's a complete idiot rude unprofessional horrible customer service I could go on and on and on about her. Not to mention Gil Berto is completely unprofessional loud blasting music doesn't know what he's doing. After coming out to the house multiple times to fix an electrical issue, or shall I say he keeps trying to fix the electrical issue. I can go on and on and on . please do not waste your money and hire this company you will be greatly disappointed I still have not resolved all of the issues with this company what a nightmare for a project that was supposed to take two months is going on almost 7 or eight I can't count anymore. The best. We bought a fixer upper and wanted to gut it. After interviewing and getting quotes from 6 contractors, we went with 3D, whose price was in the middle of everyone and was one of the most clear and helpful when we were looking into everyone. Also, they had done our friend's home a few years back and did a great job. 3D did all our remodeling except for the painting and floors, which we found cheaper elsewhere. However, I wish we had saved ourselves the trouble and just had them do everything. Pros: -professional (does what they say, and will go out of their way to make you happy) -easy/quick communication via phone and email with the office ladies, Jim, the owner, Kurt, our foreman, and all the workers -trustworthy (they worked in the home even with our young kids in the house at times and we felt very comfortable) -CLEAN. SOSO CLEAN (their level of cleanliness is ridiculous. didn't realize this wasn't standard until i had other companies come in to paint and do the floors. other people left trash and dust everywhere and walked all over with no shoe covers. ugh. 3D, in comparison, always put down fabric in areas they walked, wore shoe covers, swept, vacuumed after each work day, stacked materials up neatly, took out their trash regularly, and even cleaned their tools daily so they were not bringing in dust or grease into the house.) -our foreman, Kurt Taylor.
