My baby boy Caleb. 5 months in the womb! :)

I came here based on everyones reveiews and I also had a great experience! The technician and the receptionist were both really sweet! My bf and I came to find out the gender of our baby and the entire time the baby wouldn't spread his feet so the tech made me walk and eat a chocolate lol The baby was stil asleep so she tried moving him around and finally we were able to see!! And we saw the little pecker and the tech zoomed in to verify to us we were expecting a little boy :D There's a big screen so you and other friends and family can see. My oldest son was able to see his little brother for the first time in 3d :) We took longer than what we had initially paid for and even though our baby was giving us a hard time, the tech was very nice!

Today was my first time going and it was a pleasant visit. Even though my appointment was at 4:30 and someone else was in the room. We enter around 5pm so I do understand when ppl say appointments are off. But overall the lady who help me was sweet and explain to me everything that was going on and what we were looking at when seeing my baby. I was very pleased to hear the heart beat and to find out I was having a baby girl.

We brought my mom here. The wait was kind of long but very worth it. Nice beautiful experience.

Took my girlfriend there. The staff was really friendly. Plus the prices were affordable. Will be going back in the future.

Renee was super friendly and made us very comfortable, and I walked away with a video of my baby moving around in there and with an audio of his/her heartbeat.

I arrived already 10 cm dilated, and the doctor came in while things were pretty chaotic but handled everything very calmly. I wasn't able to get an epidural in time, but she still advocated for me and supported my request to try, which meant a lot. She also guided me through different positions to help me push more effectively, which made a big difference. I especially appreciated her communication when our daughter's heart rate was dipping during contractions. She kept us informed and gave us a thoughtful heads-up about possible next steps without making us feel rushed or pressured. Very grateful to have a healthy baby and such a smooth recovery so far!

After being unsatisfied by my previous primary care providers due to always feeling rushed and dismissed, I am really glad to have found Dr. Livingston. The appointment did not feel rushed, she asked many questions and also listened to my concerns seriously. She is very knowledgeable and gave feedback on what could be done / tested on my concerns & what wouldn't be helpful, and she also help set up any follow up tests necessary. My only wish is that it's easier to find appointment availability as I had to book months ahead, but I think that speaks to how great she is! Although it was just my first appointment, I'm looking forward to working with Dr. Livingston as I feel like she genuinely cares and will take care of her patients! Also front desk is efficient & friendly even though they were very busy. It was easy to book other appointments with the front desk.

Here is my…read morehonest review: I had severe itchiness and discomfort during the entire second half of my pregnancy, but Joy, the nurse practitioner who runs the clinic, dismissed my complaints on multiple occasions. I spent hours researching my condition and worried that I could have bacterial vaginosis, which can cause miscarriages. I briefly self-medicated with probiotics and vaginal suppositories, which is warned against because the suppositories contain boric acid, but midwives have prescribed them. Also, I was desperate. Two weeks before my due date, I met the doctor who was going to deliver me, and she diagnosed me with a yeast infection and prescribed a cream. I prefer addressing root causes with natural remedies rather than using pharmaceuticals to suppress symptoms, but I didn't want my baby to develop thrush, so I used it and hoped that he wasn't born a week early and exposed to the infection or medication. Magnificat's nursing staff is nice. However, on three occasions, one of them told me she would follow up with me by phone but never did. Another caused me to have to go to a lab for blood work three times because she filled out the paperwork incorrectly. I ended up delivering my baby myself at home, which was a wonderful experience. A few hours later, I called Magnificat to set up an appointment with the doctor, but I was told that I had to go to the hospital. (That is not true, and in the future, I would find a doctor who is willing to treat me as an outpatient.) I went to St. Mary's Medical Center, which was terrible compared to Long Beach Memorial. They were understaffed, took my blood twice because they forgot to do a certain test, a narcissistic nurse made snide remarks, the facility is outdated, etc.). They instantly killed my oxytocin high. I checked out a day early. When I called Magnificat a few days postpartum to possibly schedule an appointment because I was concerned about my unusually slow pulse, the receptionist told me to go to the ER. I didn't feel like it was an emergency, and I had just been released from the hospital a few days prior, so I didn't go. I just wanted to talk to the doctor to confirm that I wasn't at risk of hemorrhaging and possibly get a referral. The doctor was only at the clinic once per week though, so apparently being seen by her wasn't even an option. I didn't bother going to my six-week follow-up exam because I didn't feel like Magnificat could help me. This place should be used as a last resort.

I assumed my insurance would be verified before my appointment was scheduled and before I was seen. A few months later, I received a bill for over $500. When I called the office to ask about it, they refused to discuss the issue and directed me to their billing department. The billing department told me the office does not accept my insurance, which is why I was being billed. I then contacted my insurance company and was informed that my visit required prior authorization. If prior authorization was needed, why wasn't this addressed before my appointment? The office had my insurance information ahead of time and should have verified my coverage, determined whether authorization was required, and either obtained it or informed me of any issues before my visit. My insurance company also told me they would cover the visit if the office contacted them or submitted a retroactive prior authorization request. My insurance representative even called the office to explain this, but the office stated that they do not submit retroactive authorizations and would not contact the insurance company. Instead, they expected me to pay the entire bill out of pocket. While I was on the phone, the billing department contacted the doctor's office on my behalf. They later called me back and said there was nothing they could do except offer me a discount. While I appreciate the discount, I don't believe patients should be responsible for paying for a situation that could have been prevented through proper insurance verification, prior authorization, and communication. Overall, this was a very frustrating experience. Based on my experience, the office was unwilling to take the steps my insurance company said could allow the claim to be covered, leaving me with an unexpected bill that might have been avoidable. I hope this office improves its insurance verification and authorization process so future patients are fully informed and don't receive unexpected bills months after their appointments.
