This review is long overdue, for which my apologies Ryan! I hired 3G in late 2020 to do a fresh-pour sealed concrete overlay floor on top of the original slab in my single story house. I've had concrete floors done before and from our conversations it was obvious from the outset that Ryan is experienced and knowledgeable in this field. He gave me clear options and helpful recommendations and his prices were fair. The work was originally anticipated in the spring of 2021, but because the contractors working on the rest of the house kept missing deadlines, the floors couldn't get done until almost a year later than anticipated. Throughout that time, Ryan was extremely understanding and willing to repeatedly reschedule the appointments to avoid any delays on my project from his side. To say he is patient is an understatement. When the window for doing the work finally opened, Ryan's crew showed up as promised, on time, and stayed on the project until it was done, within the original time estimate. They were great to work with, easy-going, friendly, and very focused on ensuring that I was satisfied with the appearance before they applied sealant. They were clean and respectful of the overall work site. Thereafter, the main contractors caused some damage to the floor. Ryan kindly sent his guys out to do some repairs, and also to touch up a couple of small areas that had not been accessible when he did the original floors, because at the time they were covered by door thresholds or similar. Overall, this was an excellent experience. Not only do we love the appearance of the floors, but the sealant he uses is indeed pet proof which was of paramount importance to us with multiple dogs. The floors are 22 months old, and if any of the dogs has an accident, it simply sits on top of the sealant until cleaned and disinfected. It doesn't penetrate the floors. Exactly what we wanted. Exactly what he promised. It's no surprise to me that 3G has so many excellent reviews. I would not hesitate to use them again, and we definitely recommend them for anyone who wants quality work done. read more

If only there was an option for 0 stars - this company would earn that rating. Worst experience ever! Buyers beware! We hired Eli to replace the polished concrete floors in our kitchen and everything went well until a week later when the floors began cracking and splitting into spiderweb cracks everywhere. Eli was responsive initially and said he would be back in a few weeks to see what the problem was, he shared that it was the bad product he used and this happened before. 3 weeks later he returned only to tell us the product didn't fail and he would need to charge us more to replace the floors. We just paid $3500 less than a month ago and were told we had a 1 year warranty. We discovered on the 2nd try that his crew did not grind down to the slab. Eli refused to acknowledge that it was an installation error or a bad product and after some back and forth on who was to blame he told us he would replace them for "an extra cost". We agreed to reimburse him for materials only with receipts. We were shocked to see a bill for an additional $2245 that included his gas and a trash fee and no receipts. $5000 and several months later we still have to replace the baseboards that his crew damaged and repaint our island. Did I mention he threatened to put a lien on our home if we didn't pay? Yeah that's the kind of guy you are dealing with. Do not hire this company unless you want to be overcharged, threatened, receive bad service and have to replace the concrete and charged again. There is no warranty- don't fall for his lies. I had the pleasure of working with Eli when he refinished the concrete floors throughout the interior of my home. We spent many weeks sourcing contractors and Eli was the friendliest and most transparent person we spoke to. He took time to come out and assess the project in order to provide a more accurate quote. The company failed to properly repair cracks and left us with a repair that resembled a phallic symbol. Their concrete sealer began to peel after they completed only half of the project. Don't bother calling around just hire these guys. We 3G do a concrete overlay on three rooms of our house and it looks fantastic. What makes this type of floor different from all the others is the hand craftsmanship that goes into each one. These are artisanal floors that have one chance to get it right so don't mess around with someone unproven.....Eli, Cesar, Robert, Glen, and Carlos are good honest contractors that you don't have to worry about the finished product......they're perfectionists Eli and I had discussed how to handle a transition from a travertine floor that was a half inch higher than the concrete. We discussed building up concrete to fill in the space and agreed how to do it. I looked at it afterwards and it looked ok but wondered if we should have started the transition from further out....this minimizing the "ramp" visually. Eli is a perfectionist as he didn't like it either and took an extra day to fill in the area. He didn't have to, he just did it because he knew it would look better than my original suggestion. I love people who take pride in their work and it shows in spades with these guys They showed up everyday on time, cleaned up after the day was over, and were super nice to have around. WEIRD experience with this company. 5 stars for Glen, who manages sales. he's very responsive and organized. However, the concrete person they sent out was hours late and then refused to do the job. The job was a pitched garage floor that had some dips that needed leveling for a vinyl plank installation over it. A job that's been done a million times (you can see it done on TV, youtube, etc). But the person refused to do it because he claimed the vinyl installer would find imperfections and then I'd blame him. I asked a few times why he couldn't just fill in it like I was asking but he said the only job he'd do was pouring 4 inches of concrete so it would be a perfectly horizontal floor. My general contractor has seen the floor and said it's easily fixable with some patching, but their concrete person is booked up for a couple of weeks. That's why I reached out to 3G (after getting a quote from them previously), so it could be done quickly. Alas, I'll just have to wait a couple of weeks for my contractor, who will do the job. read more

I know the construction business is very busy because of covid but I was unhappy when Eli flaked on my job. Please just tell me you're too busy and cannot do my job. It first started when he didn't show up for our agreed-upon meeting. I called him and rescheduled for early the next morning in which he did show up. He gave me a quote and we agreed to do it in two weeks on a Monday. I called on the Friday before and asked to confirm that he would be there on Monday and he said he didn't know if he could do it. He did try calling me back that Sunday but there was a bad cell connection so I told him to call me back. He never did. We will go with somebody else. read more

I have had my house remodeled twice so have had many experiences with all different tradesmen. The team at 3G is as good as you with find and did exactly what they said they would do and far exceeded my expectations! Had call with Ryan to detail what we wanted to achieve and sent pictures of our 20 year old front patio concrete. Discussed options and he did excellent job detailing the process. Also sent summary/ contract and set time to get it done. If you speak with him you will quickly realized he knows his business very well and is honest as he sets your expectations. His crew showed up on a Monday , 8 am as I was informed, were super cool and carefully prepped our front yard , moving all of our teak furniture, taping things off and getting ready to start. Over next 4 days they worked very hard, interacted with me to share what stage they were at and even walked down the street so I could show them a finished yard I would love ours to look like. By Thursday afternoon I can honestly say I was somewhat shocked how amazing the project turned out. It literally looked like they tore out our old concrete and poured new concrete. The color, look , texture was so perfect I wish I did it a decade ago. They bought several sample boards with different colors to help us decide what we liked best and that was huge help. All I can say is if you are considering any "concrete" type of work you really need to speak to Ryan and his team. These guys were great -- super friendly, personal, and professional. We had our backyard remodeled and the original company we hired ended up damaging the concrete less than 24 hours after pouring it! (It was unprofessional and shockingly poor workmanship). And the end of the day, we were left with dings, dents, and scratches on our BRAND NEW concrete. That original contractor refused to acknowledge the issue and basically told me that damaged concrete was "normal" and that there was nothing they could do to fix it. That's when I called 3G Concrete. They took one look at the concrete and immediately commented on the poor workmanship that had been done. We discussed a number of solutions to fix the problem, and they were worked quickly and efficiently to get the job done. They ultimately did a great job and were wonderful to work with. The scratches are now gone. Next time I need concrete work done, I'll be going to them directly. read more

This guys did a great job removing the carpet tiles from my garage, grinding and preparing the slab, applied a coat of black epoxy with white flakes and clear gloss over it. Glen S seems to have been the behind the scenes manager. The 2 guys that worked were respectful and they communicated with me which is great. Most field workers don't communicate that good. This is the reason I give this company a 5 star instead of 4. There have been some hiccups with the schedule, timing, but I love small business, and their work product looks great ! These guys are amazing. I had them resurface my concrete patio and epoxy my garage floor. The epoxy garage is gray, white, and black. The resurfaced concrete was stained and sealed. 3G did both projects at the same time. I couldn't be happier with the result. They gave me numerous color options and even some recommendations. They finished the job in just a few days. Before they started my project, they were running late because they were finishing another product. Eli and Ryan did a great job of communicating with me and letting me know their schedule. Pricing was fair, but I did have them do the project during the COVID-19 lockdown in Orange County, so the price may have been less due to that, but that's just speculation. Eli is super friendly and informative. He is the owner and he still does all the finishing touches. That made it really easy for me because I didn't know much about epoxy garage floors and resurfaced concrete. This was a beautiful upgrade. It is extremely rare to find a contractor who exceeds your every expectation, but Eli and the rest of 3G managed to do exactly that. After my once beautiful concrete floor had been ruined by a different, incompetent contractor, I was referred to 3G to undo the damage and to complete the refinish job that the other contractor was unable to do. Despite having a full schedule, Eli managed to find time to visit the site to assess the situation. During the initial visit, Eli was extremely supportive, listened to my concerns, and gave me a range of options with realistic expectations for each. I eventually narrowed those options down to two courses of action, both for which Eli provided detailed estimates. Both of the two proposed processes began with the grinding of the existing floor -- both to prepare it for sealing or polishing and to remove the botched surface applied by the other contractors. Because the quality of the outcome of one of the two options depended on how much of the damaged floor could be cleanly removed, I asked Eli if it would be possible to wait until the completion of the grinding phase to make my decision. To my delighted surprise, he agreed. The crew that was sent to perform the work was exceptionally skilled and courteous. Over the course of the work, the crew created several samples to demonstrate how the finished product would look. Even when I requested additional samples -- to assess how the floor would look under different lighting conditions -- 3G was willing to do so. They didn't need to do that, and they certainly could have charged me an additional fee for having done so, but they didn't; I both appreciate and respect that. Ultimately, the finished work was excellent, in every sense of the word. While Eli and his crew all attempted to keep my expectations realistic throughout the process, the fact of the matter is that they were able to deliver far more than that. They went beyond what I would consider to be reasonable expectations to ensure that my floor was resurfaced correctly and that I was satisfied with the result. read more

Unlike other companies, they are not rushing the process and wanted to make sure the complete care is performed on our floor. We got the grey epoxy flooring done on my commercial kitchen space and restrooms. For our customers area, 3G did a simple grind/seal but it looks amazing! If you walk to Home Depot or Whole foods, that is the type of flooring you will get from these hard-working crews. I had given Eli and his company 5 stars before but need to downgrade. After we had our garage floor epoxy coated, We waited entire week to move our cars ( his instructions were for 3-4 days only ) back in. We noticed tire marks etched on the epoxy coating (from hot tire apparently). We contacted him and he did come out to look but offered no suggestions as to what needs done to remove the hot tire marks on the brand new epoxy floor. Not sure if it was the material they used or what but we never experienced this problem when we lived in inland which is 10 degrees or more hotter. I wish I could offer up a great review because the job itself was generally well done. 3G installed a floor in our kitchen, but the initial job didn't meet the terms of the contract with regards to the finishing, and they had to spend an extra day to correct it. Also, the color they applied came out to be different from the sample we approved. Also (maybe my expectations were too high on this), the waves in the finished surface and the irregularities are more than I consider "character." Finally, they would not come out to move our refrigerator back into position, which to be fair, may not be something they normally do, but I thought they could have done it, since they moved the refrigerator out in the first place. They said they would have to charge to come out to move it back. My wife is quite happy with the result, but I'm disappointed. read more

I hired Eli and his company Epoxy Floor Garage to put epoxy coating on my garage floor. Having used box store bought self-applied epoxy kit on my previous garage, I knew the limitations of DIY kit and wanted to have a professionally applied epoxy "system" put on my new home. Eli quoted me a competitive price for a full 3 layer epoxy system, and was on time for the first day of the installation. As soon as I interacted with Eli, I knew he was professional, conscientious, honest, and skilled at what he was doing. Eli and his crew expertly prepared my 50 year old garage floor, applied 3 coatings consisting of primer, 100% epoxy resin, and urethane top coat, transforming it into a glossy hardened surface that is clean enough to eat off of. My home is in a windy area and we had heavy rain at the time of the installation. What astonished me about Eli's work was his meticulous attention to detail and care to ensure that each coating would be protected from debris flowing in from wind and the rain while being dried. Eli is a genuinely nice guy who aims to do whatever it takes to deliver a top notch service and product to his customer.
