Marc and Tylor went above and beyond, going so far as to take a grinder and grind off the useless part of my splash guard, so I could get the tire I wanted on my bike. They did it at a good price too, no unnecessary bs charges, which surprised me given the beautiful location just a 5-10 minute bike ride to best lakefront selfie spot I know of. read more

I had ordered a new bike that arrived in a box all unassembled but then realized I didn't have all the tools to assemble it properly. I called two local bike stores but they were both so busy that they said it would take 3 weeks before they could get to my bike. I then called Marc who was also very busy but arrived at my house the next morning. He parked right out front and set up shop rign in front of my house. Had my bike assembled with typical additions like a kickstand and water bottle holder in 45 minutes and was very professional, cordial, and reasonably priced. I recommend his service. read more

One of the best bike-renting experiences I have had. A friend and I needed to rent bikes for a few days for a trip from Chicago to Milwaukee and beyond. We found 3rd Coast which had the perfect solution: excellent rental rates, excellent bicycles (brand new - we watched him assemble them), extremely friendly personal service from a very knowledgable bike-guy! He actually delivered the bikes to our hotel, provided tools, extra tubes, and stored our extra luggage for us. AND picked up the bikes at the end of our ride. This was the most convenient, full service I have ever experienced...and I do a lot of long distance riding and bike rentals. We highly recommend his services! Marc helped me get the perfect bike for my daughter's birthday. He was friendly, available, and transparent about cost and timing. His was the only shop that could order the bike I wanted. The experience was fresh air compared to other shops where they tried to talk me out of the right bike for one they had in stock or would make more money on. The shop is convieniently located along the Lakefront trail (do not search for the Ohio St location, impossible to find and not the official location). The service is very personal. I purchased a bike the owner listed on Craigslist, and was okay with some flaws and happy with their efforts to be accountable with a defunct rim and agreed upon stem swap for sizing. In the end, while I was not a receipent of the advertised "white-gloved service," I do feel that this little shop makes quite an effort remain attentive to their sales. After a while, I discovered that the frame, at ten years old, had subtle but significant wear. In the end, it led us to decide that returning the frame with reimbursement, while I kept the parts was the fairest option. read more

Marc came to my house to assemble a new bicycle that I purchased on Amazon. He was fast, courteous and professional. While he was here I mentioned that another bike needed tuning and he offered to do it then and there at a great price. Not only did he tune up my bike but cleaned it for me, too! Then I mentioned that my toddler's bike had grips that were stuck and he fixed them for me for free! He cleaned up everything and put the bikes back in the garage for me. It was such a relief not to have to figure out how to get all my family's bikes to a shop for service when Marc will come to my house and do it all quickly and efficiently right in my driveway.
