I wish I hadn't come across a prompt from Yelp asking about my experience with 3rd Gen. But here we are. I found Sean through ANGI (formerly Angie's List.) Initially, I was very impressed with Sean's work ethic. He worked with the tenacity of a man possessed. So, I invented a recurring position for him as my general landscaping assistant (I wanted to show appreciation in the form of a retainer/salaried role). I can't tell you what changed - perhaps he was busier than I anticipated - because immediately after offering him this generous role, he became very intermittent, didn't fix issues I asked him to address, and I ended up taking over the yard work myself. I paid him what I felt he was due after he pressed me. After that, I had to cut him loose, and he somehow envisioned that he was due a much larger amount from several appointments he missed altogether. Not wanting to escalate the conflict and having sympathy for him, I paid him yet another nominal amount. Sean then began to call me repeatedly and aggressively, and making very suggestive and demanding threats. I terminated the relationship and reported him to ANGI. Judging by the mixed reviews - suspicious that many might be bots because they are unaccredited - Sean is still up to no good. Watch out for this guy, he's simply not all there. read more

I reached out to this company to get a quote for connecting 3 sprinklers to a controller. At first, the person was very responsive. He immediately got back to me with a flat rate of $200. Once I inquired about his availability, he said he could do the job the following day. He then proceeded to tell me that sprinkler wire was $50 per feet and asked me how much wire I needed. I was very perplexed by this question. First of all, a flat rate is all inclusive. Secondly, I'm not familiar with sprinkler systems so I have no idea how much wire I would need. I was busy working and didn't get a chance to respond to him right away. Red Flag #1- his messages got a little saucy saying if I thought the price was that big of a deal, he'd honor his initial flat rate price. Then he started asked me to call him. I was in the middle of something but I called since the appointment was less than 24 hours away. Once I called, he asked me to FaceTime him to show him the area. I have no idea where he was, he looked like he may have been in bed and he wasn't wearing a shirt. He was also asking me other sprinkler questions that I did not know the answer to. Red Flag #2- He then started asking me what other people quoted me for the job. Red Flag #3- I was talking this job over with my family and mentioned the guy mentioned running the sprinkler wire through the attic. My family was surprised and said that sounded crazy and that this guy was probably inexperienced. Red Flag #4- I asked this guy for an updated quote that involved adding a second sprinkler controller right next to the sprinklers to avoid any of this wiring throughout the house. First he quoted me $350. And then said $200. I couldn't for the life of me understand how the pricing was the same when my new request requires substantially less work. I sent one more message saying I would get back yo him. No response. The following day I just told him I had gone with someone else. No response. I wasn't really expecting any responses at this point. I felt his new quote was a way to not have me as a customer. It totally worke read more

Called this company a couple of years ago for a sprinkler repair. The guy who came out wanted money to go buy parts for the repair, which I gave. A day or two later he contacted me asking for more money before coming back to my property. I declined. Lesson learned, this company is not to be trusted. Had tree trimmings done with Sean and his crew. I had one very large tree and 3 medium size ones to be done. Sean showed up on time for the estimate, slightly late on the work day (probably because of the baby), got the job done efficiently with 2 other guys. He and his crew were all very nice and courteous. He's not the guy for you if you're looking for 10 men crew to show up and chop everything up in one hour and leave, but he is great if you need to check the process and do the job correctly.
