She teaches one-on-one music production lessons in Ableton Live at her studio north of Seattle and also offers virtual music production lessons via Zoom. Mari takes students of all levels. We've had our son enrolled at Bothell Music Lessons for both violin and piano, and our experiences…read morewith the two teachers were very different. Andrew Bushnell, his violin teacher, was excellent. He guided our son thoughtfully through his lessons and kept us informed every step of the way -- explaining how our son was progressing and what the next steps should look like. That kind of communication made a real difference as parents. When our son decided he wanted to learn piano, we switched him to Mrs. Lana Kebets. Unfortunately, that experience didn't go as well. She strongly insisted that we purchase an acoustic piano, which ended up costing us thousands of dollars -- guidance we later felt was unnecessary for a beginner. She was also frequently about 5 minutes late to lessons, and overall it didn't feel like she was well-suited to teaching young children. Our son was only 5 at the time, and the approach wasn't a good fit for a child that age. We'd recommend Andrew without hesitation, but would suggest parents of very young children think carefully before choosing a piano teacher here.

Since I had planed on getting a coffee from the shop next door before going in he wouldn't let me park. He threatened to block my car in and toe me away. He never identified himself as the owner as the shop. After being threatened I calmly got back into my car and tried to drive away but the owner was blocking me in! He was standing in the middle of the exit of the parking lot! terrible experience

quite a drive for me living just south of Olympia, but well worth it, next time will give myself…read moremore time to enjoy the area & this amazing music shop. found Crossroads had the Martin in stock I was looking for thru the Martin website, had tried a big box music store near Seattle but pretty much ignored so walking into Crossroads & immediately greeted & attended to by Sara, one of the owners of the "mom & pop" musical instrument shop was very pleasant. The Martin Jr in stock was hanging with the other guitars was ready to play & she set me up to try it out. They had a good selection Martin accessories including a good assortment of guitar strings including the Martin brand so I also bought a spare set of the Martin LifeSpan Phosphor Bronze Light strings. I was short on time so did not get a chance to fully take in the ambience & experience of Dan & Sara's music store, but reading up on Crossroads before hand on their website & stepping into their store, I felt the warm embrace of some good vibes, and appreciate their community involvement in local music events in this very charming waterfront town. I like contributing to local businesses so I not only walked away with a very nice Martin acoustic electric guitar, it felt rewarding to give back. I hope to explore more of the Washington peninsula & look forward taking more time visiting Port Townsend & Crossroads Music.

We haven't found a good match here until now. I always had to push my daughter to practice. There was no love with music until we found Aimee at Jam. She takes a buddy class with her little sister and they are composing songs. Both kids sprint to the car to go to music class. Yesterday, she played music and sang to her own Christmas carol. She brought it to school and played it for the music teacher at her elementary school. I am so darn impressed. Scheduling and payment is easy. I like seeing older kids congregate around a safe place where they are creative.
