Carole had been my cat sitter for the better part of 10 years... We had every situation imaginable... there truly isn't anything she can't handle... When she started with us we had 3 cats... all indoor. Then we rescued a mom and her three feral kittens bringing out total to 7. As the years went by and two of the ferals were feral no more, she was able to get them inside at night along with their mom. We also had two senior cats (indoor only) that had special needs from time to time... She had no problem administering meds. Since our clan was so big and their schedules were all over the place we mostly had her doing overnights... on occasion she could do drop-ins. She is truly missed by both humans and felines... anyone that hires her would be so lucky to have her. read more

There is absolutely no one that I would trust with my pets more than, or even close to as much as, Carole Lawrence. I met her in 2004 when I moved to Redwood City. She would take a group of dogs to the dog park near my apartment, and I could see how well-behaved they all were, and how much they clearly respected her authority, but also loved her at the same time. I decided that my dog needed some park time while I was at work all day, so Carole began taking him out several days a week. Then I decided she needed to watch him overnight when I went out of town. An overnight vacation with Auntie Carole made my boy SO happy! He'd jump out of my truck and RUN to her front door and smother her and her dogs with love whenever I'd bring him to her house. My dog was not kept in a crate at Carole's house, he slept on the couch, the recliner, on the floor among many many comfy dog beds, by the fireplace, or on her lap. When a dog stays with Carole, that dog is home, and that's what I really appreciate about her. Bottom line: Carole is called Auntie Carole because she is family, not only to my dogs but to me. You will not go wrong hiring her to care for your pets. read more

Carole is reliable, affectionate and refers to the dogs as her children. She is in control and in charge. I've been using Carole for five years and she is the only person I trust with my "boy". In discovering 4 Runners, I feel like I've won the lottery. Carole and Vance are true "dog people" who love and understand every animal that comes their way. We had never boarded any of our three goldens outside our home, and we considered Sadie the most difficult (that is, unsocialized to other dogs) of the three. But after a recent 10 day stay with 4 Runners, she came home a happy and confident dog. Carole emailed pictures and status reports every few days, assuring us that all was well. We never had any doubt that Sadie was not only safe but loved while we were away. What can I say about Carole? Only that she is the best surrogate "Mom" for my dogs. I got an Australian Shepherd puppy 9 years ago and my mother gave me a gift certificate for 4 Runners 4 Your Pets. Carole came and picked up my dog and took him to the dog park a couple days a week. 9 years later, it has become 2 dogs, 3 times a week and vacation sitting at least once a month. I was so happy to discover 4 Runners 4 Your Pets as we were going on vacation and hand't been able to set up pet care yet. She came in advance to meet our babies and the dogs loved her right away. The cats stayed hidden during the initial visit. While we were away Carole treated our pets like they were hers. She sent pics of all of the cats and said they were absolute cuddle bugs. I have recently relocated from the UK to California. I knew no one here with regards to the care of our dogs and was fortunate one day to bump into Carole after visiting a local pet shop, I was considering having them stay there whilst we were on vacation, I never felt happy everytime I left there. I was chatting to Carole and to my absolute pleasure found out that she boards dogs in her own home, something my two dogs used to do in the UK and were very happy with, they crave personal attention and home life. Well they have just come back from 4 lovely days and nights with Carole and they look so happy. They have been so calm on their first day home and that is a true sign that they have had lots of fun and were well looked after. It is such a relief to find someone to look after our extended family that will love them as much as we do.
