I mentioned that we didn't need an emergency visit and he fit me in his schedule for the next morning, quoting $175 for the service call. After diagnosing an electrical short in the contactor, he left to pick up a replacement part, and finished the job that same day. At no point, before or during the repair, was I given a total cost estimate outside of the initial $175 or a chance to approve the total job amount prior to completion. It was shocking, then, that the final invoice came out to $800: a $175 diagnostic fee, two hours of labor at $175/hour, and a $275 charge for a part (contactor) that retails for $50 or less. In addition, I wasn't given an invoice upon completion of the job, but rather I had to ask for it twice afterward. If any part of this review gives you pause, I'd consider taking your business elsewhere.

We have their service contract & have been very satisfied with the semi-annual maintenance of our aging HVAC system. Last October they replaced our entire system with a 97% efficient furnace, air conditioner, & humidifier. I was extremely impressed with how Chris managed the design and installation of the new system. The new system was bigger & space was limited, but Chris custom fabricated parts so everything fit together perfectly. It's kind of crazy, but now when I walk into my utility room I take a second to admire Chris's work, it's part HVAC & part art.
