Complete Care chose a mature, experienced caregiver for me who I am happy with. In my case a caregiver is needed to help with light housekeeping, grocery shopping, cooking and laundry. I was able to get help through Extended Hands of Georgia. The Care Givers worked 4 hours a day weekly. The Caregivers were great to mom. Caregivers took care of her Personal Care needs and was a Companion/Sitter for her. Caregivers cooked breakfast for her. Ms. Denny also did more than her share as she often contacted hospice and hospice staffing when things were wrong and getting their help when I could not. She also vetted her staff , but when a member of her staff proved to be doing things which were not in my fathers interest , she investigated and replaced them "as soon as she found out". She also did other things which contributed to my fathers happiness when he was alive. Her staff also got him to talk and be friendly, when I could get very little out of him. I appreciate her service, friendship, and help during a very trying period of 2 years. I'd like to thank her for her help and due dilligence. Her workers were on time, attentive and professional in carrying out their duties. She made my fathers last days comfortable and secure. Sometimes the carer would show up on time, other times they would either be very late or not show up at all. Given that one of the key reasons we hired them was to get mother-in-law out of bed and help her take her medications, this was an important failure. She would be stuck in bed unable to help herself and getting into a panic. 2. Communications with Regency was very poor. They would change carers without telling us or mother-in-law and would often fail to return our calls. Ultimately, dependability is a key characteristic for in-home care and, regrettably, Regency did not ensure this.
