They special ordered my very first (adult) bike and they've serviced all my bikes since. I 100% have enjoyed B&M's professional service and friendly employees. Until today. Two days ago I called and asked if I need an appointment to bring my bike in for servicing today (06/11/2026). "No, just come on in and we'll help you out." So I did. Rode my bike there and was greeted by Steven (Stephen?) who came outside and took a look at my bike. Not too much wrong "but we can't get to it today. If you want to bring it back,"....he says, and then I told him I spoke with a gentleman two days ago who said to bring it in today. His reply was, "Hmm. That sounds like something I'd say,". I told him I didn't get the man's name but that I was willing to leave my bike until they could get to it and he said he couldn't tell me how long that would be. (Which I completely understand). So, I thanked him for his time and told him I'd just go somewhere else and he replied, "ok," and we parted ways. I'm no avid cyclist but I do use my bike as my primary transportation and I've always been loyal to Bikes & More. Not anymore and no more recommendations to friends and others. Steven you were polite but obviously not interested. I wish you would have just said so.

Santa Fe is a small, hometown-style, bike shop in High Springs. It's a much-needed business in this…read moretown because you get a lot of tourists coming in the spring and summer for the nearby springs and state parks and having a bike outfitter is quite useful to them plus High Springs is quickly becoming a leading BMX racing destination in our region now that they have a BMX track. So a good bike store in town makes sense. The guys who run this place are very friendly and serious about their business, too. The store's inventory could be better but overall, if you need a part they'll have it or can get it. Last time I was in here, they owner and I were talking about online BMX stores like Dan's Comp, a massive affair up in Indiana somewhere. It's hard for Santa Fe to compete with these outfits, as an out of state Internet/mail-order store can get away with not charging sales tax and certainly carry a larger inventory. However, if you buy a bike by mail, you're still going to need a mechanic to put it together (it will come in little bits and pieces awaiting some work, trust me). So if you or your friends aren't ace mechanics, you're screwed. Buying a bike special-order from a shop like Santa Fe where they'll help make sure they get it set up right for you is worth the extra cash. These guys support the local BMX community of up and coming kids, so give them some business. When shops like this are gone from BMX, our sport will be hurtin'.

The bad? I asked if they sold dropper posts. The staff said, "I could order you one but it's $300". I asked what brand it was and he said, "Transx". Bloody rude and a total rip off. I'd take a RS reverb for $300. Lol. Or a Fox transfer. But really? Quoting me $300 even before asking what size, routing, travel, etc I needed? Bottom line: go only if you are in a desperate need to pick something off the shelf and don't even bother talking to the staff.

As I stepped to pay, he informed me that they were FREE!! I know it just a little piece of plastic, but it always feels good to get free stuff! Not sure what bike repair etiquette is, but performing a service without asking the customer and then charging them for it seems pretty inappropriate to me, no matter the SOP. I am happy to say however they still easily get five-star status from me. Though a smallish shop, the people are absolutely aces. First off, Dawson is awesome. He's the young mechanic and has worked on my bike twice and done a stunningly good job--and fast!--both times. Indeed, everyone here is awesome: when I damaged my Stumpjumper on a jump, they offered me several options for its repair, one being upgrading a part but they never tried to press me on that (it's what I chose anyways) and they were very matter-of-fact about every way it could be remedied. I never, ever, have felt like they're trying to upsale me anything here which is a big deal with bike shops. I have two good but not top-of-the-range mountain bikes: many stores may look at that type of person as a customer they'd try to get to trade or buy a new, even higher-end, bike because they see he's serious but doesn't have the very best. Not here. They are just decent, forthright, and honest in trying to get me what I want and get it done quickly as possible. If I do decide to upgrade to something like an S-Works bike, this would be where I'd come because they'd done right by me thus far and their skills in fixing things are also superb.
