It was fun to let my niece run around in the splash Park while we had some food. I've been here a few times, and the vibe is always great. It's a casual family friendly brewery with solid food and a good selection of beers. On my most recent visit, I tried the Dude Abides pizza--a white pizza topped with ricotta, roasted mushrooms, and parsley pesto. It was delicious! The crust was crispy and airy, which I really loved. Went for the Oktoberfest last weekend and had such a great time! Loved the casual urban vibes -- it strikes the perfect balance between chill and lively. The heated patio was a big bonus on a cooler evening. Ordering was super easy with their QR code system, and the service was impressively quick. Tons of vegetarian options too, which was a pleasant surprise! We shared the pretzel, fries with curry ketchup, and cauliflower wings -- all absolutely delicious. Head to the bar, where I was ignored by 3 bartenders with only one other person at the bar. Great drinks and brew can't deny that. Definitely would come here for drinks again but food was not it. I ordered the cauliflower wings. Which I was surprised how big the portion was but they barely drizzle a sauce on top and the whole thing was heavy AND bland. My husband got the "fried chicken" sandwich. It was an unbreaded piece of chicken. Deep friend. With absolutely no flavor at all. He was extremely disappointed. I came a lot to this location in the past, but I feel as though the value has gone down a lot. The patio is beautiful though! You order on a QR code linked to the table. When we were seated, we weren't given a physical menu despite every other table being given one. This was annoying as each person who opens the menu via the QR code has to put in their name, phone number, and email... The broccoli with tahini was super good! The pizza was very oily and the slices were cut in such a way there were smaller and WAY larger pieces, not very helpful for eating. Service was very basic but if you don't close out your tab online, they charge you 20% gratuity automatically! And the website does not make it very intuitive to close the tab when you order... I'm a regular to the Stoup in Ballard. This spot right off Bothell Way in Kenmore is beautiful, lots of PNW wood and glass architecture. Busy on a Friday afternoon so we went upstairs to the 21+ table service upstairs. Good sound deadening so it's not absolutely blaring up there but there is still the regular noise of busy brewery. Beers are great as usual, I had a nice fruit forward Pilsner, happy hour for a couple hours on weekdays I think 3-5 knocks a buck off beers. We happened to be in the area and searched for breweries and this popped up. Being new to the area I had no idea that Stoup had multiple locations. They still carried that small brewery feel but did have a number of options. This particular location was pretty nice. Nice outdoor area to sit at so you can watch your kids as they run around the concrete area outside of the brewery. Beer was pretty decent. I'm and IPA and sour guy and they had some good drafts. The food was pretty good as well and complimented beer nicely. Loco Moco (5): Great flavor! I mean, how can you go wrong with hamburger patty topped with a fried egg and gravy? Happy Hour Nachos (4): Also pretty good. Good toppings Cauliflower Wings (3): It's basically fried cauliflower. It's good if you like fried cauliflower. The essential component of Stoup's Kenmore location is their excellent beer and awesome service, which is backed up by a spacious and stylish tasting room, featuring a large outdoor patio. So far so great! There's also a kitchen attached, which is a huge step up from the standard food truck a-go-go situation at their Ballard location. Unfortunately my first encounter with it was...odd? The "Blistered Broccoli" was unlike any preparation of this dish I've ever encountered. Instead of a plate of broccoli florets as I've had elsewhere, 70% of this veggie was stalk. You know, the woody, fibrous part of the plant that is normally discarded. This would have worked if the tough outer stalk had been shaved off (easily done with a vegetable peeler) but I get the impression that this was part of the presentation, which is visually impressive but not edible. The tahini sauce? Really good! I wish the veggie was up to the same level. I will come back to try other dishes, since this is a great location overall, and most of the time it's all about the beer. read more

We came through on our way back from up north. I am a big fan of non hazy IPAs so I love Stoup. They make some great west coast IPAs. I dont know the area of Kenmore at all it seems very nice and somewhat upper class. Reminds me of down where we are from specifically Lake Oswego. I told my wife it reminds me of a lake O place. Somewhat cold with no personality. Its fine but I wish we would have went somewhere else with a little more to it. Beer was great, food was fine. Expensive...it was $125 for lunch. This place has a great vibe . Ideal for family dinners or a meet up with friends. They do have patio seating. The food is decent. Nachos were great, crispy cauliflower was bland and our entreès were decent. Service was ok except that we had to wait really long to get our bill! Kids menu is ok-ish. There is a decent selection of beers but I did not find anything like a light ,crisp blue moon-ish style one nor a non-dry cider variety.People in my group mentioned that their IPAs were decent. Stopped by Stoup for a quick drink and it was good. The service was a little slow but it was a pretty busy Monday evening so it was nothing unexpected. The food smelled great but unfortunately we didn't order any because we had dinner waiting for us at home. We are looking forward to returning for happy hour and trying more things off the menu. This is a really nice Stoup location right in Kenmore. What's really cool is that very often you get seaplanes that fly over the brewery which is really fun. The seaplanes are SUPER quite, not like a jet plane The beers are really good here as well as the food. We had the nachos which were really really good as well as a pepperoni pizza. The pizza was also good but the only thing is that it was extremely expensive in my opinion ($28...) just not used to that pricing for pizza... The host was overwhelmed and said it would be a while. We asked about sitting outside; he said he hadn't realized there were seats out there and sat us. A guy was playing an odd selection of live music outside the entrance, a genre we couldn't pin down. There aren't servers, just a toast app to order. We tried for ~15 minutes to load various parts of the menu and thought we were in the clear before the app ended with "failed to fetch" after putting in our card info. We waited another ~10 min to order at the counter and paid while there. Beers were brought out after ~10 min. The mosaic fresh hop was tasty - I'd get it again. My partner liked the Citra IPA as well. Neither spectacular, but solid beers. Food came after another ~20 minutes. The sloppy joe grilled cheese had a really nice toast of the bread but everything else left a lot to be desired - bland meat and sauce, not a ton of cheese. The corn soup was also meh, reminiscent of watery corn purée that could have used more corn flavor. The smash burger meat was over done on the edges. The redeeming part of the sandwich was the pickles. The fries were the only food item I'd order again - they were crispy, salty, tasty. We used to highly enjoy coming to Stoup because the food is good, the beer is great and the kids can run around. We haven't been since last summer so were surprised this latest visit by the "self service" model they now have. They've done away with waiters entirely from having to order on the QR code to getting your own water. Part of what made this place special was the friendly staff who could make a recommendation and help you feel taken care of. The food is still decent, but without the hospitality, the whole experience feels cold and impersonal. I understand the push for efficiency and or cost-cutting, but IMO, it comes at the cost of the dining experience. If I wanted to serve myself, I would eat at home. Stopped by for a late lunch and it was meh. Got their special which was a Philly cheesesteak, but it didn't feel like it had much cheese on it and the hoagie was kind of tiny underwhelming. It also didn't come with fries so it was just a really expensive tiny sandwich. Partner got their smash burger, which tasted weird to him, but I don't think it was the beef that was weird. It was the actual sauce that was on it that kind of changed the flavor of it. It almost made it taste kind of sour or just a strange flavor profile. It was also pretty undercooked for a smash burger, a lot more pink than I expected. Stoup is now one of our favorite places to go with the kids! Outside of Stoup is a big area for the kids to run around and huge rocks to play on. There's also a coffee shop on the other side of the big area outside that we have yet to try. At Stoup there is spacious seating and great staff! It's an "order and pay" experience through Toast Tab on your phone, different than a normal services restaurant, but it allows you to eat and pay without waiting for someone to close out your transaction. It's easy for groups too since there's a QR code per seat at each table that allows you to create your own tab or pay with a group. We've been there a few times, but all the food has been great so far. We've ordered the Brass Monkey pizza (extremely good crust and flavors), the kids cheese pizza, shishito peppers, smash burger, waffle fries, nachos (with carnitas), kids smash burger and the grilled cheese and crispy pancetta sandwich. The beer is good too, lots of options! They also have dessert, like soft serve, but they were sold out when we went last time. Parking was easy, there's street parking everywhere. read more
