After driving a couple blocks after having that battery changed, a light on the dash that I had never seen before came on. So, I pulled back in to politely ask if it was possible that the battery cables were not tight or something and to look under the hood myself, even though I had been nothing but calm and polite, he got extremely defensive and rude but said nothing about cancelling or upcoming appointment (which he knew I was staying in the area an extra day for) The indicator light went off when I restarted the car and never came back on and after some research online, I believe that he hadn't done anything wrong connecting the battery but that having the battery disconnected caused a sensor glitch. When I returned for that appointment two days later he refused to work on my car claiming that I had gotten angry with him which up until that point was absolutely not the case! He had my phone number yet never called to cancel; so, it seems like a deliberate petty, vindictive attempt to waste my time when all I had done was politely ask a question. This is the most childish and unprofessional behaviour I have ever experienced from a mechanic! I recommend avoiding this place at all cost!

First off let me say that I initially met with Lisa who was very friendly and seemed trustworthy…read more I explained to her that after a check engine light showed up I had Auto-zone run their scanner on my vehicle. They did so free of charge and returned error code P1757 recommending to replace the governor and possibly the transducer in the transmission. I further explained to Lisa that after the governor and the transducer were replaced, the check engine light returned with the error code P0868. She said they could do a full diagnostics for $150 made be a transmission specialist. She made a note of the recent history on my ticket. I told her I would leave the scanner reports and changed parts in my truck cab in case their technician needed to refer to them. A few hours later, a gentleman who I believe to be the owner called me, saying that they would need me to approve an expense of $600 to $900 for them to finish the diagnostic, because they would need to drop the pan to go further into figuring out what is wrong. I declined and asked when I could pick up my truck. He said he would have to see because they would first have to put my truck back together if I was declining to go any further. I confirmed I wanted my truck back and he said he could have it ready later in the day. When I got there i asked what they had done. it turns out they had only plugged in their scanner and printed out the report. The same type of report I had told them Autozone had done for free and that I had left for their convenience in my truck. I paid my $156 and asked to see the report. obviously it returned the exact same two error codes P0868 and P1757. Nothing more. It took them all but 3mn to start the engine, plug in the scanner, turn off the engine then plug the scanner into their computer and print out the report. So when I remembered that over the phone, the owner had claimed that if I wanted my truck back he would have to see to "put it back together" this was a huge red flag as to their honesty and straight forwardness. When I asked him in person why they did not do more diagnostics then simply running a scanner, when they knew I had already done so, he responded that he was not going to have his guys drop the transmission pan for $150. I would not have had a problem if he had been upfront and had explained that his diagnostics would be nothing more than plugging a scanner. i would have likely skipped that step and asked how much it would cost me to get an actual professional transmission diagnostic. When I got home from their shop, I was surprised to realize that my box with the parts and diagnostics report made by Autozone were no longer in my truck. Needless to say I will find someone else to work on my vehicle.

I was charged $89.99 for "labor" and $60 for "parts" all for them to do a PCM power relay where they claimed they did not see any issues with my car. My check engine light remained on, and my car would continuously not start every time after I had gotten gas. Obviously, there was still an issue with my car that they had claimed there was nothing wrong with it costing me nothing but time and money for absolutely no resolution at all and still car problems. I ended up taking my vehicle elsewhere, where they were able to diagnosis the issues that my car was having and resolve them immediately. Needless to say, I have found my new mechanic, and it is not Tom's.

Sadly, the shop uses appointments like doctors. Where appointments are for patients, but not for the attending physician. So, I waited a couple of days to get the appointment, and had the truck towed in before the specified time. They never called me, I called them, ONLY to be informed, they never got to my vehicle and it would be the next business day it would be looked at. The shop was closed for the weekend, ugh! I waited until later the Monday afternoon, still no call from them. So, I called again. And, got informed they couldn't look at my vehicle until Tuesday because they were short handed. I finally got a call on Tuesday the truck was ready. When I asked about getting a discount due to the truck languishing in their shop for 2 days, (plus the weekend they were not open). They got really pissy with me about me being irritated due to not getting my truck back "sooner". I was charged the full price. No apologies, MY RECOMMENDATION, IS TO TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE. When I made initial contact with them, it was difficult to communicate with the person on the other end but after some time I was able to provide them with the information needed to give a quote. During the quote process the person mentioned the possibility of using OEM parts instead of aftermarket parts which could also bring the total bill down. He then told me he'd call me back in a few minutes and hung up. Once he called back however that's where my experience turned sour. Without any explanation I was told my only option was to use aftermarket parts and given a quote higher than I had received elsewhere. I confirmed that he could not match the other shops quote, and was performing the same work. Once it was confirmed he could not match their price I thanked him for his time and told him I would be going elsewhere to which he decided to cuss me out and hang up on me. I can't believe someone would treat a potential customer like this especially when the repairs would have brought a couple thousand dollars to his business. If you need work done on your car, seek a business who will treat you with respect and be transparent.

Being between jobs at the time, Rick got 4 new tires for less than 2 Michelins (my preferred brand) would have cost.
