It was definitely a concern at the time but not overly worried until I purchased a digital radon monitor and discovered that in the winter it jumped to 12+ pCi/L. This concerned me with a 3 year old and pregnant wife. I called Jay at House Detectives and that evening he came for an inspection. From my first meeting with Jay I liked him. He is professional, polite, very affable and knowledgeable individual. He quickly came up with a plan for mitigation and explained to my wife and I the process for mitigation and the dangers of radon. He was also very patient and accommodating with our 3 year old's questions. That night Jay sent an email with 2 options for mitigation, and within a couple of weeks we scheduled the job. I am very pleased with the work he and Grant did, our digital unit now reads below 2 pCi/L, somedays even less than 1! This is my first and only experience with radon but I would easily recommend House Detectives. I think it is also worth mentioning they are insured for radon mitigation. I feel confident having had a professional do the work for peace of mind of my family, and in if/when we eventually resell the house, it was done right. Thank You Jay!

They were professional, personable, and competent. The communication with the office beforehand and with the plumbers during the work was excellent. The estimate was detailed and easy to understand. No surprises during or after the repair. They did an excellent job preventing damage of the lawn during the excavation and repaired it afterwards better than I could have hoped.
