SUMMARY: Really unique place and friendly staff. Came here to take my LTC proficiency test and have my wife take her first private safety class. BACKGROUND: Well, we're in TX now and now I can finally have the means to have the "last resort option" on my person. Being a safe law abiding citizen, I took the 4 hour training course and came here to take the proficiency test. I had my wife take her first class. TRAINING As mentioned above (twice), our trainer Walt from Train Protect and Defend (not on Yelp but on Google Reviews) trains his clients out of this facility and we're glad it's relatively close to where we live. I cross posted a review over there too. We really enjoyed our lessons, we learned a ton, and my wife overcame her apprehension of handling a firearm through good, knowledgeable training from Walt FACILITY The facility is really unique. It looks like a bar/restaurant, but it's not. But it does look like that from the outside and is very cozy within as compare to most urban gun ranges that I've been to in CA (warehouse style). Once you check in, you're assigned a lane, which is outside the club house, down the stairs, and to the left. You'll pass by an archery range too (hay bales, targets, etc). The range is built out of shipping containers and some may feel a little claustrophobic, but once you get going, you'll forget about it. There are fans on the inside as well to keep you cool. RETURN VISIT? We'll have to visit another range or two, but given the proximity of this range and how nice it is, we'll definitely return for at least another lesson and/or sign up as members. read more

This is a great range to target shoot at when it's cold, too hot or you just would prefer to be inside. The staff is very helpful in getting you setup will even walk you to the bay that your assigned. The range is a bit dark inside but not so much as to be bothersome. They are pretty long as well 50 yards and even a lane to 100. They are unusual in two aspects. The first are the hours. Wednesday to Sunday. Most ranges are closed Sundays. The other is they allow rifles as well. The only thing that I would view as a negative is it's loud inside. That is to be a expected as it's an indoor range. What I do is wear ear plugs under my earmuffs. That works great. Overall a great range. read more

One of the better indoor ranges I've been to in some time. If not the best. Prices are reasonable (membership) comes with guest passes which you can use for yourself. The 50yd range is great if you want to test your pistol skills at that distance. But the best part is being able to shoot at 50yds and then have the target return with the press of a button while you read mags. Although lane rental is per hour, I feel I get better quality shooting in that one hour than an outdoor range which calls range cold every 15mins, sometimes less. Then waiting another 5-8mins to reset your target. Here, it's set up, shoot, call back target, load mags, reset target, and shoot. Overall, it's well worth the money if you can pay the yearly membership. read more

Great location for teaching, training, sighting. The 50 yard, and 100 yard lines are clean neat and temperature controlled. Bring your own rests. The staff is very helpful, and very willing to accommodate family's sharing/teaching the shooting sports responsibly to the next generation. Two stars, but only because the facilities are good and getting better. The man working the desk on Friday morning 10/4/2019 was the most rude customer facing person I have met in a long time. I am an FFL and I bring my customers with me to the range; unfortunately they also felt the same as I did today. Message to 407 Club: Get someone else to meet the customers; this guy makes you feel he's doing you a favor by letting you shoot there. Made us feel like we'd rather go somewhere else. The man named Mike was much more friendly. Also, they rushed us out saying we'd been there 1.5 hours when we had actually only been there less than one hour at that point. Won't be returning to this range until I hear better experiences from others. read more

Went on a Friday night just before closing. Owner greeted me and was super nice and friendly. Went down to the range and it's interesting from other ranges. The range officer was cool and friendly to talk too. The range has different lanes for you including your own private range for your group. Need to come back and try out their 100yard range. read more

Excellent place to shooting! The staff is so friendly and helpful! I def will be back, they have a 50 yd range and two 100 yard private ranges. The 100 yd range has an awesome setup with ipads and video cameras to track where you are shooting. Def a superb place to get long range guns sighted in. read more

I recently attend a class provided by a third party using this facility. I entered the lobby and the Employee did not greet/acknowledge me even though I was the only person there. After waiting a while I asked if I was in the correct location for the class. He said in a gruff way "did you sign the waiver?" I told him I signed the waiver sent to me in the email confirming the class. Again, gruffly "that's not our waiver, that's his!" The atmosphere was not welcoming or informative at all. The other students and I simply waited without knowing if the instructor was there in a classroom or if we should wait for him there in the lobby. The class was scheduled all day without a lunch break and this facility didn't have a snack bar or vending machines for food or drinks. They did have bottled water for a fee in a small fridge, thank goodness. The classroom we used is well below average compared to the other ranges in the area. The classroom was above front desk and and you can hear everything happening down there. It was very distracting, Guns being racked over and over by someone doing maintenance and cleaning, loud talking, front door makes a ton of noise opening and closing. Furnishings were a temporary folding type. Chairs were uncomfortable for a class of this length and probably need to be replaced. Overall employees and facilities below average. I didn't see the shooting lanes or suites, we qualified in a dirt floor warehouse like range with brass all over the ground. read more

Very friendly staff. The 100 yard lanes have cameras so you can see your shot placement remotely. Clean lanes. They have rifle rest. The personnel are not over-bearing while you shoot. On some ranges, the safety officers hover over you. At 407, they leave you alone to shoot. read more
