When I signed up for the class, I didn't know what to expect. At the end of the day, it was clear I had learned quite a lot! Even though I have handled guns since I was 10, this class added so much for safety, what is legal and how to stay within the law! Texas is very gun friendly, as long as you follow the rules. This class teaches the rules, and the Texas Law Shield addition gives me peace of mind at a very reasonable price. Knowing someone has my back if I need to draw my weapon - whether or not I pull the trigger - is awesome! Met great 'like-minded' people and safety was the number one priority - especially at the range! Highly recommend Lee, real-life experience and his teaching sticks with you! I took the class back in March 2016 and still remember what was taught. That is why I decided to write this review and highly recommend him and his class! I would actually like an advanced class to be able to assess, react, protect faster than a simple range class. Never want to abuse, or over-react when it comes to a firearm. If nothing else, the class taught about restraint, caution, and safety. Something gun control people don't understand that law-abiding citizens do! Lee and Debbie at North Fort Worth LTC teach a great class. They cover all the basics as required by the state and ensure everyone understands the requirements. More importantly, they do it in a completely stress-free environment. Don't have a lot of experience around firearms? This is the course for you. Classroom and range time is all about learning the basics and fundamentals of safely carrying a firearm without any of the intimidation that can creep into some firearms instruction. I have 27 years of military experience and a ton of time around firearms and weapons. (Took the course as a new resident to get my LTC.) I don't leave reviews ever but I took a lychee class with these good hearted down to earth people today (5/7/22) and I cannot say enough good things about them. They were polite to everyone answered any questions cracked jokes and most of all were very professional. They didn't try to rush anyone and made sure everything went smoothly they will even help you submit the paperwork for the state if you don't have a way. They go the extra mile to make you feel comfortable and at home from the time you arrive till you shake hands and part ways And they even send you a few emails of the material you went over in class so you will always have the information. I've taken this type of class in several cities and states over the years, and please believe me when I say that Lee and Debbie are the real deal. I wouldn't bother with this review if it wasn't worth it to other people considering taking this class to check them out @ Cabela's. So what if you're not from the Fort Worth area...Make the leisurely drive and give yourself the satisfaction of knowing that your money is well spent. Let me not forget that they offer free loaner guns, and discounts for Military service (Active / Veterans) too. Great experience at the range as well. Lee Watkins is the absolute best trainer that I have had! I really can't say enough great things about this gentleman. Customer service is of the upmost importance to me and he impresses me so much! He's so personable and he really cares about teaching his class and being there for you even after the class. I have emailed him multiple times with questions and without fail, he always responds.. usually within 30 minutes. I'd highly recommend him to ANYONE! Just enrolled my husband in one of his classes! His classes are held at the Cabela's in Fort Worth, so convenient, and then you go to the range which is just a short distance away (the fee is already included :). read more

I found NFWLTC by searching the internet for LTC classes. What caught me was their attitude and family based business. What they wrote is absolutely true. They are friendly, patient, adaptable, knowledgeable, and won't waste your time. They also offer after class support to help you finish the process easily. There was cold with intermittent rain on the day I attended (Jan 20, 2021) so they worked in the firing range portion on the fly between showers. They were able to expedite range time as well to get us back into the warm class. The price is also better than many LTC classes in the area. North Fort Worth License to Carry does not compromise safety and it is focused on in both the lecture and range portions of the class. You're provided a copy of the class for future reference and Lee and Deb are very accommodating with individuals who are novice shooters or are not entirely comfortable in a shooting environment. They even have loaner pistols to patrons who do not yet have a firearm of their own. With so many classes being offered at so many places, I am so glad that I decided to attend this one. Lee and his wife were great. Very informative about the laws and procdures to aquire your liscence. Lee offered his personal phone number to answering any question we had. Attended class, 12/08/18. Besides the wonderful price with range fee included and the option of free loaners, you'll be most satisfied with Lee's and Debbie's soulful hospitality. My mom and I both attended this class in May. Lee was a great teacher, and made us feel very comfortable in the classroom (most of the other participants were male). Lee, his wife, and his father all ensure that attendees are in full understanding of the material. I didn't want to take an online class, I wanted to take a class in person so I could ask questions and hear other people's questions as well. I knew it would the best way, I'm glad I did, it was really a great class. I even had more questions and needed help later to upload info to the state. Lee and Debbie are so warm and welcoming. My husband and I absolutely had a blast on Saturday 3/23/19. Lee made the material easy to understand and took the time to answer all of my questions. Unfortunately, the weather was predicted to be terrible, so Lee and Debbie arranged for our class (off 22 students) to use an indoor shooting range. It turned out to be so much fun. I signed up for two of us to attend. I had a question about registration and it was answered within two minutes. The class was awesome and very informative. They made it very interesting, even threw in some humor. The time at the gun range was very organized. Nobody had any problems because all rules were explained in advance.
