I called him yesterday, explained the problem, and he not only fixed it today in less than 3 hours, but he used the replacement screen that I had purchased myself on Amazon, and charged me only a modest amount for labor.. It was, and remains, a completely valid reason. He had some family issues to attend to and I agree that is more important. Unfortunately, his demeanor towards me since then has been confrontational. Rich has demanded that I remove this review and threatened to involve a lawyer in the matter. I have been nothing but understanding with him. Posting truthful and non-slanderous information to a public forum on the Internet regarding this business is protected under the First Amendment of the Constitution of the United States (see: Reno v. ACLU). In addition, I am of the opinion that Yelp! reviews are supposed to be honest reviews from customers regarding their interactions with businesses. I understand that Rich is upset about my leaving a 1-star review on his business. That is why I gave him three stars and the opportunity to earn my trust back. As I told him, judging by the other reviews on his business, he should have easily been able to earn some cash and get his other two stars. He chose not to do so. Instead, he threatened me with legal action for leaving an honest review of my interaction with his business on a public site. My final comment on this business is a word of caution to other potential customers. Rich is an interesting guy. If you are not prepared to be berated for disagreeing with his views on public discourse, I might suggest looking for a different installer, which is a shame because I hear he does good work.

Mike(owner) and Jimmy(GM) both explained to me the detail differences between type of tints and also took the time to compare each tint % on my Mini until I was completely satisfied with how would look before final installation. I walked in when first opened to ask about their tint summer special and they were able to get me in right away since I'm not local and they both understood the hassle for me back and forth. 1.5hrs later, my car is complete night and day with 35% driver and passenger while the remaining rear received 20%. THE JOB WAS PERFORMED TO PERFECTION. This is a pro shop that has been established in New Hyde Park for 15 years and I can wholeheartedly recommend this to all. About six months ago, Don professionally installed my Thinkware U3000 Pro front and rear cameras. A couple of months ago, I returned to him for installation of the brackets and wiring setup for my Uniden radar detector. His work has always been extremely clean, precise, and professional. Most recently, after having new window tint installed, the dash cameras had to be removed and then reinstalled. Even though Don had a very busy schedule, he went out of his way to squeeze my car in and reinstall the cameras on the freshly tinted windshield. He took great care with the new tint and made sure everything was properly positioned, secure, and working exactly as it should. What I appreciate most about Don is his attention to detail and the pride he takes in his work. He treats the vehicle as if it were his own, takes the time to do everything correctly, and is always professional and helpful. They did a good job, I had a ton of bird stuff on my car and they got it all off and made the car shine. The one thing I will mention is that it does take a little while since it's a hand wash place, I think it took about 40 minutes (not counting the time before it was my turn) so make sure you are not in a rush.
