One particular feature of the automatic washing equipment that I particularly like is the wheel cleaning brushes: There is a long serrated flat brush that cleans the tire sidewalls and then a counter-rotating set of rubberized brushes which get into each crevice - then a forceful spray to wash away road grime and brake dust. The price is good, at least for an exterior wash, which is what I got for two of my cars. I can't complain too much about the wash for the low prices I paid - $11 for a coupe exterior wash including wheels and $10 for a SUV exterior wash sans wheels. There is also a higher piece of mind coming here than some other places - - it's unlikely for them to scratch your car being that it's a true hand wash place and there is no track your car goes thru to potentially scratch the rims. You drive your car thru the hand wash hut, stopping a couple of times in between. My coupe was $8 for an exterior wash and "spray wax" of the car including rims. They up sold me to $11 including tire cleaning. They did a pretty decent job, not super thorough, but I'm just glad they didn't scratch my car. For the price it was a good car wash. The main thing I didn't like was the direct angle strong force hose water sprays onto the sides of the car. A car purist would be pissed. Maybe teach the guys to spray from an angle and lower the water force a notch. I also had them exterior wash my crossover. This was $10 including rims but not including the tires. I was less pleased this time around. They really did a half ass job on the suv. There was soap left on the side of the passenger side mirror as they rushed me thru their hut in record speed before they could properly wash off the soap. Also the rim cleaning which was supposed to be included was spotty. I also didn't like how the employees sometimes bang on the side of the car to signal you to advance the car thru the hut as you can't see anything thru the windshield between all the foam and water. They should gently knock on the window instead if they have to or just hollar. I know there are better hand car wash places in ny. One in Staten Island is only $25 for full service interior and exterior and good quality too. Maybe competition around Central Jersey is weaker.
