I had this place in the past and it was just ok! The best thing was the old fish Pattie's they had,…read morewhen I asked for Griot they didn't have it on the menu! WHAT??? No GrIot??? What's wrong the Haitians today??? That's the like National dish! I was disappointed in all the food!! Fast forward to now! Looks like new owners there's door traffic from customers even on slow days! I went on. Sunday afternoon with the Wife and let me tell you though we ordered take out Griot and pick Liz a total of $20 for just meat w/ pick Liz. You can order w/ sides for $24 but we had other sides at home. This was one of the good Griot dishes since I lived in Miami!! Only issues it was dry, lacked salt. But wasn't bad ! Better than the first time.

So we decided to try a new restaurant and the menu looked pretty decent. Got here and they had…read morenothing that we asked for and only had an XL snapper. So rather than just turning around. We decided to share the snapper. The music was soo loud you can't hear yourself think. But the place is clean to say the least. But empty. What is the point of having a menu when you don't have 90% of the menu. No fresh drinks they didn't even have chicken wings, the drinks are like ever fresh bottles and they are $4. The fish was good but they killed it(over fried ) it was rather dry when I asked them not to over cook it. The cabbage was a a curry cabbage

Ok so Saturday they were only open from 6-10. If you're not familiar with a non-typical Caribbean…read morerestaurant, you'd be off-put by this place. It's not your typical restaurant they have like 2 or 3 tables but there's old men (probably family) sitting there talking in Creole. There's no menu anywhere, so if you're not familiar with the food already you won't know. The food isn't labeled and they in the tin pans. However, the food is amazing. The piklis is so good/spicy. The griot and black rice were so flavorful. I will come back. The ambiance isn't great, but the authenticity of the food is what drives their business.

It's home-cooked Haitian food, and it's worth the visit as I enjoyed my food. The service is typical of a home-cooked place: you'll get your food quickly, but this is a grab-and-go spot, not a dine-in experience. One thing to note: if you ask for anything extra, like I did for an additional scoop of rice, expect an upcharge (in my case, $5 for just one scoop). While an up charge for extra is understandable, just make sure the upcharge feels reasonable. Would recommend if you're craving authentic Haitian cuisine!

Oxtails with black rice and onions. It cost $12 for the small and there was enough food for 3 meals. The food was great!
