    Red Snapper in Sauce

My son and I were in south Jersey in search of a good meal and we found it. The red snapper and shrimp creole is definitely something to talk about . The black rice, cabbage and Mac and cheese was something that made you taste buds scream for more. The customer service was more than I expected it was the best I have ever had. Must definitely try the wings they leave you with less to desire. Most importantly the restaurant is extremely clean

Top notch- my wife loved the fish with black rice. She stated the cornbread was the best she ever had. Super friendly counter girl. Props! - Neil

Mind blowing flavors. One of my favorite restaurants. Try the ox tail and their rice is very flavorful.

I was looking forward to trying this place for a couple of months now. Finally got around to it and was highly disappointed.

I was about to try the mabi juice as my beverage since I didn't know what it was and was looking to try something new, but the lady taking our order advised against it since it is apparently very bitter, so I appreciated her advice. She was the only staff we interacted with but she was very sweet. I ordered the jerk chicken while my friends got the goat soup, a curry, and fried pork. Each dish came with rice, beans, a side salad and fried plantains. My friends really enjoyed their dishes, and I thought it was the best jerk chicken I ever had! Generous portions, and the spice level/taste was perfect! The food was the best part of my vacation lol so I'm glad we stopped by. Definitely recommend you try this place out!

Although there was no one sitting to eat in the restaurant, there was a steady stream of people coming in to pick up to go or meal delivery orders. I ordered the fried pork (griot), beans and rice, plantains, and pate chodye. Everything tasted good and authentic. The pate chodye was new to me because it was like an empanada. It was stuffed with meat, an egg and pikliz (like a spicy slaw). The food was cooked to order so it gave my party time to talk and catch up. There are lots of tables for eating in. Framed photos and Haitian flag banners provide some ambiance.

It's not your typical restaurant they have like 2 or 3 tables but there's old men (probably family) sitting there talking in Creole. There's no menu anywhere, so if you're not familiar with the food already you won't know. The food isn't labeled and they in the tin pans. However, the food is amazing. The piklis is so good/spicy. The griot and black rice were so flavorful. I will come back. The ambiance isn't great, but the authenticity of the food is what drives their business.

It's home-cooked Haitian food, and it's worth the visit as I enjoyed my food. The service is typical of a home-cooked place: you'll get your food quickly, but this is a grab-and-go spot, not a dine-in experience. One thing to note: if you ask for anything extra, like I did for an additional scoop of rice, expect an upcharge (in my case, $5 for just one scoop). While an up charge for extra is understandable, just make sure the upcharge feels reasonable. Would recommend if you're craving authentic Haitian cuisine!
