There are a few hiccups, though, and some of them are head-scratchin'. While every site is FHU, not everyone (us!) connect water/sewer, so proximately of the bathroom facilities is important. You have two options: an actual roadside rest area hundreds of yards away; and, the tribal market hundreds of yards away. But when the market is closed, you only have the other option after hours. Another issue is how unlevel the tarmac site pads are. We did all we could with what we had, and it wasn't enough. Not a deal breaker though. Like their sister property in Airway Heights WA (Northern Quest), there are a lot of rules and restrictions on tribal property. But again, not something that would cause us not to return. I'm no gambler, but the Wifey reported their slots were tighter than a frog's sphincter, yet she's smart enough to bail on losing after $40. It stings to know that's wasted money, but she works hard, and if she gets a little enjoyment out of that, so be it. I must mention, the entire staff of the casino, market, and RV maintenance crew were all happy and friendly, and boy that goes a long way with me...

Bring a power strip if you want to plug anything in. You don't have many lodging options out this way so you need to make the best of the choices available.

They keep the park and facilities in excellent condition from the potted flowers at the entrance to the immaculately maintained park grounds. My husband hates our small shower so he loves the large comfortable and super clean park showers and bathrooms. Mark and Amanda are not 9-5 managers. They're up at the crack of dawn until late in the evening when Mark takes a final tour of the park before turning in. It's very comforting that they are there to help with any problem and are discernable regarding guest management. The park grounds are shaded by beautiful gigantic old trees and the parking spot is graveled so no tracking in grass clippings or mud and no asphalt puddles on rainy days. It is very conveniently located near the junction of highways U.S. 395 and Wa.25. There is a large grassy immaculately maintained and enclosed dog park for running off energy. And, a large open fire pit for guests to gather bringing their own chairs to share in the glow of a large campfire and friendly conversation. Both amenities provide early to bed types peace and quiet. The toughtful design of the park provides both congeniality and quiet privacy at the same time. The park is spacious and plenty of room to park your vehicle in front. Mark and Amanda have many new plans for Columbia Pines and we love their energy, optimism and affection for the Kettle Mountains as do we! The WIFI worked adequately but there is no cable tv only HDMI. We are delighted that Mark and Amanda love the area and plan to stay with Columbia Pines/Grandview. We look forward to seeing them again in September, they're wonderful hosts you can always count on to make your stay great. If you've never visited the Kettle Mountains or fished the many dozens of nearby lakes, you've been missing a special treasure. The lakes are generously stocked with Rainbow trout and some carry bass and pan fish. The upper Columbia is known for it's walleye, BIG trout, bass, pan fish and of course the mighty sturgeon in season. If you rv, check out Columbia Pines/Grandview, you won't regret it. Once you visit, you'll return again and again. There's nothing like fishing on a small lake, just yourself, the eagle or osprey, songbirds, and whatever big mammal that might pop out of the woods. We've never been disappointed and have returned again and again and have already made our reservations for this fall.

Interesting lake as much of the north side road is actually on the water. The park has play ground equipment which is great for kids under 10 or so. Jamie and Dave are gracious hosts, help you park rig, run store with great ice cream and always ready to help out with any needs. Virtually no road noise and zero highway as it's miles away made for nice quiet outdoor activities. I spent many days mountain biking on logging roads and quad paths. Not much single track but tremendous views from north and south mountains. We spent 35 days and plan on the same next summer. Many of the spots are seasonal folks with families. Sometimes pressed quiet hours to 11pm but quiet music, talking and laughter is kinda the thing on weekends. Silent weekdays. ​One of our favorites for down to earth folks and activities.

Overwhelming dog urine smell and no help from staff We…read morestayed in one of the "condos" (bottom floor rose bud)and the experience was disappointing from the start. The place reeked of dog urine the entire time. There was no air conditioning and no screen door, so we couldn't even open the door to get some fresh air without letting bugs in. A week before our arrival I specifically called to confirm this was not a dog-friendly property and was told there were absolutely no dogs allowed in the condos. That clearly wasn't the case. We reported the smell to staff. They admitted they already knew about it and said they would call us with a solution. No one ever called. We ended up going to the store ourselves for carpet freshener and a kids-and-pets odor eliminator, then had to ask for a vacuum (which they did provide). None of it made a meaningful difference. The second bed was in the living room right in the middle of the urine smell, so the other couple we were sharing the condo with slept in their car both nights. Would not recommend. The property needs to address the odor issues properly and communicate honestly about the condition of the unit.

(keep in mind we were only in one cabin, others might have fared better.) Filth is the first word that comes to mind, followed by bugs. Neither of which I can handle, especially at a place I am paying for. No, I did not go to the office, I already saw the results of my own comments regarding another issue. Spiders rule! Followed by a few bugs of unknown species! I don't know when the floor had been mopped last, but the water marks and stains were old. I will say the bathroom had been remodeled and was impressive, considering. The kitchen counter had a new piece of marble (?) sitting on the original wood framing cupboards, probably 50 years old. If you know anything about electrical or plumbing this cabin will give you nightmares. We should have looked at the cabin when they were open instead of in the winter snow. Did not know were next to the extremely small boat launch, made for canoes I think. That meant were inundated with people who have never learned the code of camping, about staying out of other people's sites! No respect whatsoever. That is not the resorts fault, granted. Fishing was ridiculously poor. A lot of hype. I am an avid angler, what fish I saw caught, were puny. The restaurant...bring your own food. The bed! A wooden box about 8 inches tall was the first layer. Then a box springs, of course it squeaked. Then a mattress, probably as old as the resort itself. Then, about a ten inch, cheap memory foam mattress. Take a ladder. On the bright side, the kitchen was well supplied with everything from cupcake tins to cork screws. When I threw back the covers on the bed and found black...things...that was it. I could live with spiders, they are a natural occurrence, tho a few too many. The cold weather, for June, did not help, again not the resort's fault. All in all, nope, won't do it again, won't recommend it, should probably be turned in to health department, oh wait, it is on the reservation. Oops.

Most are right on the lake with a picnic table and fire pit. The service is adequate, too, if not enthusiastic. The staff doesn't really offer resort-style service. My husband had some great fishing off the dock. He caught a 4lb trout and someone else got one that was 7lbs...right off the dock. On another note, we left a toiletries bag there and it took some doing to get them to mail it to us COD, but they finally did. The contents were mostly intact, less a vibrator (affectionately known as Buzz) that someone needed more than we did, I guess.

The indoor seating is quant, lots of fishing and hunting gear line the walls and there is a fireplace that must be wonderfully inviting in the winter months. There is also outdoor seating, a few picnic tables covered with plastic, although when we arrived around 5:00 PM the sprinklers were on so the tables were wet. Both inside windows and outside afford a beautiful view over looking the lake. Noticing the small bar, I ordered a Mai Tai and my man ordered a Captain Morgan and diet. The young waitress brought me the worst most sour tasting green drink I have ever had. When I asked her what it was she said she didn't drink so she didn't know what a Mai Tai was, she just made something up. Ok, we are a long way from civilization so I smiled and asked for water, pushing the green thing aside. My man enjoyed his prime rib very much which came with baked potato and bread. I had a baked potato and a salad from the salad bar. Potato was good. The salad bar was pretty much what you would expect for a wilderness lodge off the beaten path, packaged lettuce, a few veggies and bottles of drippy dressing in an ice tray. We appreciated our meal since we had been camping for a while, so no complaints except for the unusual Mai Tai cocktail that sat there. Service was slow, several people ordering drinks at the little bar, slowed the one and only waitress down. We will come back again next time we are up that way camping, but I would suggest asking WHAT cocktail the waitress knows how to make. I hear they have some signature cocktail that has a lot of alcohol in it - perfect for soothing weary mountaineers.

Shame on you renting skidos that are destroying the campground at Lake gillette national forest…read morebeach site. The tools you are renting to have NO CARE for the safety of those on the campground side. i watched some grown man come over to the dock side of the campground ( opposite side of lake from Beaver) while folks trying to fish off the dock. He was making lg waves to go over, regardless of kyackers trying to navigate his waves. His waves literally capsided 2 small boys on a paddleboard. They had life vests on, but still struggled by the waves. I watched a mom call in her young kids swimming in the designated swim area as the waves he caused were so big a young child had to be helped by a parent. Shame on you! Filed fed complaint, as your renting these with NO respect for all the campers trying to use the lake too. Yelp review coming.
