Really good bbq. Fun spot in a older home. Well kept inside with real pride of ownership. Back room and yard for large parties. Prices were unbelievable and the ribs were amazing. My husband got a michelada and it was huge. I would recommend their lemonade too. Other hits were the brisket baked potato. I thought everything was super tasty and look forward to the leftovers in the fridge.

Really great BBQ restaurant! One of the most western/southern styled restaurant I've been in. There's a huge array of BBQ foods like lamb, pork, chicken, etc. The sauce on the table is sweet and savory on the meats. Had the pulled pork sandwich; very tender and juicy sandwich. Even had bacon on it which was unique. The fries taste great too. The front of the shop has take home desserts and has the aesthetic of a tavern. Prices are decent and service is friendly. Love this little trinket of a place.

    Little bit of everything.

The chicken, ribs, and cheese sausage were on point, definitely a must try item. I'm disappointed with the brisket, slices were cut too thin and had a lot of fat. Plus they were slathered with bbq sauce. Also the fajitas were tender but I didn't care for a certain spice that was added to them. Others than that I'll probably drop in again for the chicken and hopefully get to try the Dino ribs next time. I'm also curious to try the lamb.

The food is alright. I was expecting more as far as quality because I've been to the Edinburg location. The Mac and Cheese was literally just Kraft which was disappointing. The ribs were alright, a little tough but the brisket was pretty good. Will likely end up going back to the Edinburg location and will definitely not order the Mac and cheese again.

Two meat plate, fajitas and sausage. Rice and beans mixed with coleslaw for sides.

I stumbled on this cafe by accident as I was actually looking for another new business that also…read moreserves breakfast. So, once I arrived I decided to try it out rather than backtrack to my intended destination. Upon entry I was greeted by three or four employees and seated immediately. The waitress brought me ice water and I also ordered coffee, which was very good. I looked over the menu and chose my favorite breakfast when in the Valley; Huevos a la Mexicana. The breakfast plate also comes with fried potatoes, refried beans and either toast or choice of tortillas. I always choose corn tortillas and these are very good, appearing to be home made vs typical store bought. They are thicker and have a more pronounced corn flavor. When my breakfast arrived I was surprised at the portion size, particularly the eggs. It was indeed, a large portion. It were filled with lots of diced onion, jalapeños and tomato and all appeared to be grilled prior to being added to the scrambled eggs. I also asked for salsa verde and this definitely did not disappoint. It was creamy and very spicy. Not thin and vinegary. It's the salsa verde that takes this dish over the top. The fried potatoes were the typical fare, cubed and fried. Maybe a bit larger dice than usual, but still cooked through and a bit crunchy. The refried beans were better than most places and had more flavor. I really enjoyed them. As stated earlier, the tortillas were good with a bit of chew to them, not thin and falling apart. And the coffee was really good for a restaurant that doesn't specialize in coffee. Rich, robust but not burned tasting. My cup never ran dry as the waiters/waitresses were always around, ready to top it off. The price was reasonable too. Not as cheap as one place I go to frequently but not as high as most small cafe/restaurants locally. I have returned three times in the weeks following my first visit. I can see this becoming my new favorite breakfast joint here in the RGV. Drop in and give them a try. I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

Convenient location, exceptionally clean, friendly staff, & delicious food for a good price. I…read morerecommend biscuits with sausage gravy & pancakes as two of my favs.
