I love all of the different classes and time options, which make it very easy to work yoga into my schedule. Whatever kind of yoga you are feeling up to each day-- there's a class for that! I also like that there are both hot yoga and non-hot yoga classes, so I can mix it up depending what I'm feeling that day. The BE's raving reputation is well known in the community, and when you visit BE you'll know exactly why. And I have to give a special shout-out. I joined the BE when I found out that Dana Flynn was teaching there. She is truly special. Yoga with her is not just yoga-- it's an experience.

AMAZING class with Olivia. It was raining outside, her sound bowls with the thunder and real drops falling on the roof while she also used her bamboo water-making instrument was BEAUTIFUL during our meditation. The first 20 minutes of flow, followed by deep-stretching yin, were also the perfect preamble to prepare our minds and bodies to really sink into our sound meditation to close. Infrared panels were ON YAY! (And also YAY to the GREAT new ventilation fans installed and turned ON to cool us down for the meditation segment - SO GRATEFUL for those, too!) The owner Danielle and all other instructors are so talented, kind and helpful and the classes are challenging but fun! Music is always on point too. What really keeps me coming back more than anything, though is the sense of belonging and community I feel every time I walk through the doors. Danielle and the other instructors have created an environment that naturally encourages people to connect and feel comfortable with each other and it shows! Basics: The studio is super clean, cute and spacious. 3 studios - 2 non heated, 1 heated. Bathrooms on both sides with lots of cute amenities. Water stations. The studio has cute aesthetics and two different versions to choose from, heated and unheated. The hot room side opened more recently and is a cute space, if wanting to work up a big sweat. The side I tried was a bounce class on the unheated side. I always love a bounce class and Danielle always brings the energy and a good workout!

There was a lot of equipment that you can use right in the studio. There's nice cubbies outside for your belongings. In my class, there were two fitness instructors in the back who had someone recording their practice. So if you prefer not to be on camera, stay in the front. He has an excellent way of engaging with students of all levels and modifying class to suit their needs. The only downside is during some classes, a different staff member vacuums during that time. He interrupts class by coming into our training space as we are conditioning...which is not only rude but not safe. The instructor that needs to then try to talk loudly over the vacuum. It's very distracting and disrespectful! Also, on occasion people are outside smoking and the smoke drifts into the gym. Overall, I give the movement sanctuary an excellent rating. While in St. Pete Beach, Florida, visiting my mom for Christmas, I was eager to continue on my yoga journey, even while on vacation. Luckily, Nava Yoga Studio was within walking distance of my mom's condo. Additionally, they were offering a wonderful new student special where you could partake in two weeks of unlimited yoga classes for $50. Both my mother and I signed up and have since taken three classes. Each of the instructors has been incredibly well-versed with their own unique style. The three classes have all been a variation of Vinyasa, or flow yoga. I like how the flow can be adapted based on your level of experience. My mom has been looking for a much deeper stretch while I really look to push and challenge myself. The studio itself is quaint and can probably only hold 12 to 15 people comfortably. They do use an app to have you reserve your spot ahead of time but also accept drop-in students for $20 per class (space permitting). They offer a variety of classes both in-studio, virtually on zoom, as well as some beach yoga. If you are like me, visiting from out of town, they do have yoga mats that you can rent for two dollars per session. Nava has been an absolute highlight of my Christmas vacation in Florida.

I'm used to the spotless Tree of Life Yoga studio in South Pasadena so my standards may be too high. Other than that, a very unique yoga experience that I would love to repeat. It's unfortunate it is located a bit far from where I live or I would be going more often with my ClassPass.

It was so amazing, thank you so much Emily! I learned new stretches I had never even heard before from PT's that really helped me release pain everywhere, including my jaw, hip flexors, ears, and shoulders. She also records and posts her instruction for every class in a Facebook group, and I'm happy I can go check out the new stretches I learned before the next class to help eliminate pain during the week.
