Happy to say, we are now anticipating our next breakfast stop. While this rural restaurant may not on par with The Original Pancake House, it is the best little breakfast stop we have experienced in Eastern Colorado. Upon entering we were greeted with a friendly smile and a dining area with a pleasant, clean smell that is tidy. My husband ordered the chicken fried steak which came with gravy, two eggs, hash browns and toast. I had the California omelet and chose pancakes to accompany it. All of this came standard with the meals at no additional cost. (Thinking back to a previous customer's review about extra charge for bacon.) Everything we ordered tasted great. No knife was needed to cut the chicken fried steak. A nice touch to our experience was the warm syrup. The wait staff shared the restaurant is almost a month into new management. High five to this manager and we send wishes for much success!

The potato salad tasted ok, but the potato chunks were rather firm (under cooked) for my liking. The service was great. I've heard the cinnamon rolls are really good. The online listing showed a restaurant and bar at this establishment. Both of these were closed also. Breakfast in the morning.....better think again. There wasn't even a cup of crappy coffee to be had. The room we had was well worn. The water valves on the shower and bathroom sink barely worked and only with great effort. The front window had a huge crack from top to bottom. About the only good thing I can say about the Sandhiller on June 28, 2025 is that we didn't take home any bedbugs.
