The food options are plentiful, the table service is fast paced and friendly in a restaurant that has the ambiance of a home town diner.

Great breakfast, Great service and cute atmosphere. If there's a wait, dont worry, they turn over the tables quick and the kitchen hustles!

Great little place where some friends and I met up for lunch. Came recommended via another friend mentioning they saw it on TikTok. The food was delicious and perfectly prepared and we appreciated the staff allowing us to stay to play cards for over an hour after lunch. Great spot!

I ordered from here for the first time and I was highly disappointed. I got two big boy plates and strawberry and cream on the French toast and a corn beef sandwich it was roughly about $46 dollars. When I opened the plate it looked like the food had been thrown together it was no separation and the presentation just looked crazy. I went to try the potatoes and they were hard, cold, and stale so was my bacon. Mind you I called a hour or two after they opened and she told me it would be ready in 15 mins and I drove right over in 15/20mins. The French toast was slapped together and you had to peel it apart. The only thing I enjoyed was the sausage so I really wasted my money. I will not be ordered from this establishment again.

Food is very good; maybe categorized under diner I tell you it's not greasy and food is delicious season right. I order the croissant egg is good and sausage is thicker and not greasy. Service is great friendly and attentive staff; they are also courteous and respectful. Ambiance is a diner set up but not overwhelming to the eyes. Restaurant is clean they get table clean as soon as customers leave. I highly recommend this place we were on our way to KOP from Philly. Parking is ample and if you park in the lot it's free.

4th Street, Bridgeport, PA, sits just off the south bank of the Schuykill River in the shadow of the much larger Norristown. Over the years it has been gradually transformed from a worn out backwater area, into a zone where small businesses flourish, including a few exceptional commercial kitchens. The cafe that takes its name from this byway, the 4th Street Cafe, happens to be a great place to grab breakfast or lunch if you're in the area. Walking in it feels like entering a time warp where everything is stuck in the late 20th Century. Small 5 stool lunch counter, high ceilings with antique knickknacks (at least 2 Betty Boops), Formica tabletops and tubular stainless chairs, and open kitchen where the short order cooks do their best to prepare popular morning and afternoon fare. It just felt very cozy sitting by the large plate glass windows watching the world pass by. Ordered coffee to swill with the Veggie Omelet, Potato Cakes and Rye Toast, served by a lovely smiling woman, who inquired about my further needs and promptly delivered Cholula Hot Sauce upon request. A few red shakes and I had the extra heat I craved. Everything was excellent. The omelet was moist within with plenty of spinach, onion, green/red pepper, tomato and melted provolone. The potato cakes were a good change of pace from the traditional home fries/hash browns, and reminded of chubby latkes with a little onion/garlic mixed in for pleasant flavor. The rye toast was a crisp bite with just enough melted butter. Really enjoyed the meal and dated ambiance. Wouldn't hesitate to stop in again.

Santangelo's Cafe was an interesting find. We had initially booked brunch somewhere for the morning…read more we went here, but the other venue had to push our date because of availability. So in the ensuing confusion we managed to find this little place and enjoyed the food. The experience was a bit lackluster, but nothing was bad, and I would still say if you're in the area, Santangelo's is definitely worth checking out as they offer classic breakfast staples at a reasonable price. Tucked away in Norristown behind where the old Conte Luna pasta factory used to be located, there is generous parking and both seating inside and some outside tables for when the weather is nice. This is the point where our visit ended up a bit rocky. My eighty year old godmother joined us for breakfast who uses a cane and has a very hard time with steps. The indoor seating here is divided into two floors, the second, up an extremely long set of stairs. When we were seated we were told upstairs was the only seating available and that the large table that would've seated our party of five downstairs was "reserved". Not one to cause any issues, she told us it was fine and we decided to go upstairs despite the issues getting up there and enjoyed our meal. However, upon finishing and coming back down to pay the bill, the table was still empty and there was no apparent reason that we could not have been seated there, saving an older woman with a disability much stress and difficulty. As for our meal, the food was good! As I had said before, breakfast classics with some unique takes. The scrapple that I ordered as a side with my waffle was absolutely outstanding. Cooked perfectly with a crisp outside and a piping hot yet creamy inside that all who are fans of this divisive Philly staple will know is the "right way". Our server was also very nice and definitely offset the seating debacle, and helped redeem the overall experience. If we are ever nearby for breakfast again, we will likely return and try some other items. I was a bit upset they no longer have the meatball omelet, which sounded crazy and amazing, but maybe one day it will be back! Again, if you are in the area or live close, give Santangelo's a try and decide for yourself!
