Found this place on Yelp and came because of the reviews and it did not disappoint. Excellent meal at very reasonable prices. We were a party of 5 and we had The cheesesteak , eggs Benedict and waffles. We all throughly enjoyed everything. Very nice staff as well. Highly recommended! read more

we waited 15 minutes to get waited on. the home fries were luke warm and not cooked thoroughly. my daughters tea water was luke warm....actually the whole meal was not hot when it was served. service was not at its best like it normally is. read more

Left without even trying food so can't speak about food. Sat down, took a while to have waiter come, ordered and then waited for about an hour. Enough was enough, got up and left. Coffee and chocolate milk for my daughter and I. Asked to make sure they hadn't started our meals first and they hadn't. So it probably would have been another 30 minutes if we had continued to wait. I get it, busy morning perhaps, but the main reason for the negative review is we didn't even receive an apology or anything from the owner who obviously was the one at the register taking our money for the chocolate milk and coffee. Perhaps comp the beverages, apologize, and then I would have felt much better and given them another shot in the future. Won't visit again. A shame because the menu looked good, can't wait over an hour for poached eggs and two slices of french toast! read more

We went here for breakfast once and if you get a table (first come first serve) and actually get service it's a typical breakfast place but the food takes FOREVER, service is crap, the man inside that runs the place (not sure if it's the manager or owner idc) is RUDE to his employees especially bus boys in front of everyone. And don't ever order take out. They'll tell you 15 minutes and 45 minutes will pass like nothing to it. I made them void our order and we walked out. If you can't handle the amount of people & take out orders then TURN PEOPLE AWAY. They don't even apologize/care for wasting your time and just move on to the next. Don't recommend. read more

Old time diner ambiance inside. Food was delicious and quick. Open face hot roast beef was incredibly tender and gravy was hot and plentiful. It has the small town Cafe feel where everyone knows everyone and you seat yourself. The food was delicious with so many good options available. The best part, in my opinion is the portions, it filled your stomach and the prices kept your wallet filled at the end. The newest offering from the family that brought us the Gateway Cafe and the Gateway Cafe 2, is the 4th Street Cafe. As with the previous iterations, this eatery offers GREAT food and a fun ambiance. The staff is friendly, fast and responsive. The open kitchen reassures customers that the food is freshmade and high quality. Sit in a booth, at a table or at the counter! Great breakfasts, amazing sandwiches, BIG shakes, and later hours! Clean, fresh, new, and yet still the Gateway Cafe 2 coziness we all love. Betty Boop, Model cars, Norman Rockwell and Americana abound! Easy parking. The new restaurant is a bit loud when it is bustling... some sound absorbing rugs could help. Look forward to the possible return of outdoor seating as well, as there is PLENTY of sidewalk space outside their double doors!
