Literally one of the best café's I've been to. It reminds me of your sweet grandma's house. The coffee was the best drip coffee I've ever had at diners (which is saying a lot). The staff was so sweet and my favourite part about the whole experience was the mug that had a black cat on it. If I ever have another weekend off, we're coming back. read more

Korean owned & operated, Main Street Cafe offers breakfast and lunch in a small, but congenial dining room and counter on old Main Street, Norristown, PA. I stopped by after a business meeting to grab coffee and a bite before returning to Bucks. The six stool counter had room for me. I was greeted immediately by a family member who poured my coffee and took my order of a sausage and 2 egg sandwich on Kaiser roll. The Bunn o'matic drip was strong and bracing. The sandwich arrived on a ceramic plate, wrapped in paper. It had been pressed so that its profile was compacted and dense. Admit to liking this unexpected presentation. And, the first bite told the tale, slicing through roll, folded scrambled eggs and patty sausage cleanly, and allowing each layer to announce itself distinctly. It was an excellent creation, enjoyable through the last chomp and chew. Prices were also quite reasonable, as I walked out for less than the ten spot, including tip. Great customer service and the food looks and tastes delicious. Very clean and attentive despite the constant flow of takeout orders and phone calls. Counter and tables to sit with news on the TV in the background. Kind ladies taking orders, remembers your name and favorites. I will definitely return again. Pleasantly surprised when a coworker and myself stopped here for an early 6:26AM breakfast. My bacon egg and cheese sandwich was wrapped in paper and squashed to perfection. Home fries were ordered minus the onion and were crispy and delicious with ketchup. The two women behind the counter were courteous and attentive. Will visit again when in Norristown. read more

I live in West Philly and work in the area. I enter the cafe and received a warm greeting. I knew from there; the food was cooked with love. I ordered my breakfast sandwich It was nice and hot. Mom and Pop spot located smack dab in Norristown. Service was reminiscent of going to your Auntie's house and giving you that warm welcome feeling. Oh man...this place is fantastic! My friend and I walk through the door and were greeted immediately and given front row seats at the counter. They serve breakfast and lunch and have tons of combo platters and specials. Prices are also rather fantastic...I don't recall anyhing under 10 bucks but if it were, it's probably worth it. I got the breakfast combo of crab cake, 2 eggs, homefries and toast- all for 7 bucks and it was over-the-top filling. This place is smackdab in Norristown so perhaps if you have jury duty or just around town in need of a quick bite you should definitely stroll in. The interior is small and the set up is cute- counter seating and several tables around. The owners are a lovely Korean couple who are friendly as heck and beyond accomodating. I had an awesome dining experience here and if they started serving korean cusine, I'd be in there every day- I even told them so! read more

I went in and immediately felt that old school diner vibe. The waitress was pretty cool. Definitely a place that locals frequent, so you know the good is mmmm mmmm good. I will probably never order from here again. They do have a large variety of options on their menu and the taste is good BUT I've ordered here 3 times and the experience was not the best on every occasion. The last experience I had was the one that caused me not to go back. I sat at the counter and discussed my order with owner. She told me that she took my order and 15 minutes later I found out that she never actually took my order so I walked back to work and called the same order in. I had to go back several times on that same order just to get it correct. They were apologetic BUT I still will never come back. They have reasonable hours and again the menu is large, but you'll have to go into the actual store to see the entire menu. read more

Have been going to this spot for months. Always was a great location for an affordable breakfast, decent food and friendly staff. Unfortunately, a recent change in wait staff was made which would cause us to look elsewhere now for breakfast. Experienced an unfriendly waitress who showed zero customer service abilities. We had about 5 things wrong with our order, some requiring food sent back and others requiring to just cancel items. And I hate sending food back! Needed to ask multiple times for the same thing before receiving it. I can take inaccuracies from a new employee who might be learning, but no tolerance for attitude. I suspect this waitress won't last long at all and would return with another staff change, as the food remains decent for the price. The owners seem nice and do there best to keep things flowing when busy. If ordering for pick up, I give it 5 stars. read more

I was surprised how great the food was, the cost and the portion sizes! For a breakfast of 3 it was $22!! The staff was friendly and the cafe was clean. While it's not a place you may check out due to where it's located but don't judge a book by its cover. Give it a try and you won't be disappointed! Next time I will post some pics read more
