I was just looking into some weighted vests ao I was in and out, didn't spend much time in the store whoever nobody said hello or checked if I needed help, they just made I contact and went on with whoever they were doing. I have shopped online for 5.11 tactical pants/stuff for like 10 years, always been great quality at a reasonable price. I've never been to an actual store so this was a nice option. I think I'll still order online as I have specific things I need, but I'll stop in and check it out if I have free time. Otherwise the store is in a good location and easy parking. read more

My husband and I stopped in to check out the store. He's a big fan of 5.11 and has one of their tactical backpacks. The store associates were very helpful and knowledgeable. My husband purchased a sling backpack that he's been wanting. I was looking for a bag as well and Darren was very helpful and even showed me their own LV6 bag and how they carried it. I ended up purchasing one. It was cool to see all the items they carried in person and the associates said they would place an online order if there was a size or color we wanted that wasn't in store. I wonder sometimes why people carry products that they know NOTHING about. Called this location tonight to inquire about a polo I was going to order online at 5.11 Tactical. The guy who answered the phone answered with "hello", not the store name. Kind of threw me off. As I proceeded to ask him information about a 5.11 polo, and even provided the style number, he had ZERO clue what I was talking about. He then tells me that he is not a uniform shop. I told him it is not a uniform, it's a 5.11 polo. I ask him if he carried 5.11 polos and he got an attitude and said he did, but he is not a uniform shop. ‍ The market you are targeting with 5.11 gear highly suggests you learn the product my friend. I definitely won't be purchasing from this store! I called another "provider" and they knew exactly what I was looking for and helped me. read more

This was my first experience at a 5.11 and I really enjoyed it. Staff was pretty helpful and made sure to greet us as we walked in and they even offered to help us locate anything. The women's selection is very minimal almost non existent so hopefully that changes soon. One I knocked off one star because I think they can price their items better. Meaning they had sale signs, but they don't say what's on sale or how much of a discount you get. We will return, lots of great gear to choose from and overall good atmosphere. read more

I bought a couple pairs of pants from this store. The price tag was marked $69.99. They charged me $75.00. I didn't notice the difference in price till I got home. I returned to the store the next day and they refused to honor the $69.00 price and told that they just didn't update the price tags. Not quite sure I can believe the negative comments from some of the folks on here. This 5:11 location is filled with product knowledgeable employees that go above and beyond to help customers. I speak for my wife and I, when I say that we go to this store once a week at least and every time the experience is better. Their products are second to none, they have something for every need from clothing, knives, shoes, to of course their famous backpacks and legendary patches. If you need a place to go and get the best backpacks and backpack swag, come visit the 5:11 Ft. Worth location, you will not be disappointed. I'm noticing the reviews now that I'm pulling up Yelp and Google to review and I have to say my experience was no where close to the bad ones I see down the thread. I'v switched jobs recently and need some new simi professional clothing to cover my tattoos that isn't super dressy. Iv purchased stuff online from 5.11 before and I thought it stop in to see what I can get in store. I was immediately greeted by the two associates working the desk and asked what I was in for. I told them I was looking for a couple things to start a new job with and they seemed genuinely interested in helping out by asking what work I was going into and their tattoo policy to best help assist. I was able to find a good handful of things to pick up and ended spending more than I expected but not disappointed at all I was able to find comfortable clothes. the staff was incredible to me while I was there I didn't feel rushed, crowded or pressured to buy a ton of things I was just lead to where they thought I'd find something I'd like and tried things out as I saw them. I know I'm kinda swooning over the service here but I'm honestly just blown away with how nice this place was. It's not often you go to store front retail and interact with employees that seem to genuinely be enjoying their day and happy to see you when you walk in. I believe the two I interacted were a very kind Brittany super helpful I steering me in the right direction and an awesome Jason who helped me pick out what I wanted to check out with based on what I was trying to spend. If this place has put new effort into training a turn around of their location based off the negative reviews below it's defiantly working at least from my perspective anyway! So rude. Made me turn around and walk out of the store in 101 degrees after 2 people were done and walked out of the store right before i entered. They said they were at capacity. Went in tonight for a pair of boots I saw online. They unfortunately didn't have them in waterproof version. The salesman, didn't catch his name but was an ex marine, was very knowledgeable about all the boots they had. I tried on the back up pair of boots I was looking at, since the store had them in waterproof. They pinched my ankle pretty good. He told me to hold on and just try something. He then brought out a wide, just a different style boot than I was trying on. It was the size I needed, waterproof and a 6" ankle. They fit perfect. Was no pinching in the ankle and when walking and jumping they were comfortable. I wish I caught the guys name because his customer service was outstanding compared to today's standard. Wasn't the exact boot I wanted but definitely works for the jobs they will be going through. read more

Staff has a terrible attitude and acts as if they're overly inconvenienced that you're even in their store. This was a single employee in there so not sure what the rest of the staff is like but by the other reviews doesn't sound promising. On top of that the lack of knowledge on gear and 5.11 clothing is comical. The frisco store and Arlington store make this one look like an absolute joke. Rudest store I've ever been in, the clerk chased us around the store to be a mask Nazi when I had to wear it lower due to health reasons. All 3 visits here were unsatisfactory, not what I was expecting from 5.11. Save the headache and waisted time and just go to the one in Arlington. The Arlington location has bailed me out each time and makes up for the lack of knowledge and customer service of this Fort Worth Location. I had a $100 gift card that's only good in store so I asked if they could place an order for me for uniforms so I can use my gift card in the store. This is a common transaction and has been done with other 5.11 locations in the past. The employee acted like I was asking him to do something illegal. I called the Arlington location to ask if they can do this transaction for me, they said it was an easy order for them to put in and could do it over the phone with me. I told the Fort Worth location about my conversation with the Arlington one and only then were they willing to work with me. I went back to the Fort Worth location bc they couldn't take my information over the phone (they were closer to me so I just dealt with the small inconvenience). Order was placed, understandably waited the long wait, was allowed to use my gift card and all worked out. Since I've never used their brand for uniforms before I asked if something didn't work out could I just return it in-store. Their response was "yeah, no problem." Great. It's a new store so I chalked it up to new staff at a new location. The shirts didn't match the blue of the pants or any of the patrol uniform navy blues so I tried returning. Couldn't find the receipt but figured since I filled out paperwork with my info, that they could pull my account up and see the order. They would not take it back and offered no solution. The desk employee just stared at me with his hands in his pockets and didn't even try looking in their system or ask for help from a more knowledgeable employee or manager. Based off my past experience with different employees on different days, I was getting the feeling no one in the store had any knowledge beyond working the register to take your payment and point to displays when asking basic questions about products. There was no luck getting answers about specific gear. So here I am again calling the Arlington location and explaining my situation and seeking answers. Like old faithful, the Arlington assistant manager (their whole staff for that matter) was supper knowledgable on in-store and online products. He even offered help with uniform stuff and getting them ordered even though those are primarily an on-line special order thing. He was confused as to why the Fort Worth location was unable to help me with ANY of those things. He even explained to me how easy it is to pull up my orders and make special orders for me should I need to. He went on to tell me the whole reason they have customers create and account and ask for emails is for situations just like mine and they can accept returns without the physical receipt (not hard these days bc it's 2020 and most stores do everything electronically anyway). Instead of pulling teeth and dealing with the not very helpful or knowledgeable staff at this location; I decided to take the Arlington location's manager up on his offer and just deal with him from now on. Dealing with the Arlington location has always been pleasant, are able to answer all questions that hard users of their gear (first responders and tactical units) would have, and confidently work around issues customers may run into. This Fort Worth location has consistently let me down. Unless you're just there to buy something off the rack and don't need any customer service, you should be good. Otherwise just go to Arlington, the trip is worth the help you'll get from the staff there. read more

Hard to rate the store itself, but we showed up at 6:00pm on a Friday. The store hours are clearly displayed outside, as well as on google as 10-8pm. The clerk stood at the counter and stared at us through the window. If you're not going to adhere to your own advertised hours of operation, then why publish anything at all? read more

Went in and saw that they required hand sanitizer in order just to even walk around in the store. Turned around and walked out. Called corporate and they said that they indeed did NOT require hand sanitizer despite what the sign said at this location. Walked into the store mid afternoon on December 1st, "greeted" by the lady there that stood lazily at the counter and said "anything you looking for?" I said "belts" and she replied "okay" and ignored my existence the rest of my time in the store. I had to find the belts myself and I chose to leave the store due to her terrible customer service. Cameron, my store clerk who checked me out was so kind! His customer service was stellar. The store has taken a HUGE turn around since they replaced all staff at the 5.11 Ft Worth location. There was a sales associate who also helped me tremendously and showed me exactly what I needed within a matter of minutes. He was very eager to make sure I was taken care of.
